01:05In Venezuela, the head of the Ben 25 Plus campaign, Jorge Rodriguez carried out a nationwide House-to-House
01:11canvas from the San Agustin Parish in the capital city to Sucre State.
01:15The candidates of the Simon Bolivar Great Patriotic Poll have been interacting directly with the
01:21community, making these visits in view of the May 25th Parliamentary elections.
01:26Rodriguez stressed the importance of building a government of the people, highlighting that
01:30direct contact with the communities is the key to advancing concrete solutions for the
01:36country.
01:37In this sense, he urged citizens to vote on May 25th against fascism, sanctions and the
01:42violence perpetrated by the United States against Venezuelan migrants, supported by members
01:47of the extreme right wing.
01:49Nicolás Maduro, together with his people, defeated the sanctions, defeated the blockade.

08:59According to preliminary police reports, the shooting occurred after an individual who was
09:04denied entry to a family party began firing at guests.

11:3565 years of bilateral relations. The Cuban President and his accompanying delegation landed at Pulkov
11:41Airport, where they were met by St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglo, along with officials
11:47from the Russian Foreign Ministry, among other Russian authorities.
11:51On this official visit, Cuban President Mayel Díaz-Canel will be visiting important scientific
11:56institutions related to biotechnology, energy and artificial intelligence.
12:02The Russian government has proposed a 72-hour humanitarian truce to test Kyiv's willingness
12:12to maintain peace in the border region. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that just as the
12:18Easter passed, Russia's new initiative during festive days seeks to test Ukraine's readiness
12:24to maintain stability in the region. He said the pause would go into effect on the 8th,
12:29May 9th and 10th, with the aim of testing Kyiv's readiness to find ways towards a lasting peace.
12:36Peskov said that for humanitarian reasons, fighting would be suspended from zero hours on the 8th

14:20In the Gaza Strip, Palestinian authorities are on alert given the worsening of the current humanitarian crisis
14:26brought on by the blockade imposed by Israel on the enclave.
14:30Health authorities have warned about the spread of diseases, infections and death due to malnutrition,
14:36especially among children, because of the attacks by the Israeli occupation.
14:40They said tens of thousands of children and women must wait in long lines to get some food
14:46because of the shortage of essential supplies as the Tel Aviv regime prevents the replenishment of products
14:52by denying entrants to aid sent by international organizations.
14:58Israel's expansionist and genocidal plan against the Gaza Strip continues with another 40 civilians killed over the last 24 hours.
15:10Health authorities in Gaza also reported 125 people injured, while more victims remained trapped under the rubble,
15:17so the number of dead and wounded could increase.
15:21They also denounced the aggressions of Israeli troops against emergency personnel, ambulances and rescue teams,
15:27which prevents the care of many of the victims.
15:29According to official data from the Gaza Strip Health Ministry,
15:33over 52,530 people have been killed and 118,431 wounded since October 7, 2023.
15:48The Israeli Sionese regime called up 60,000 reservists to expand the occupation in Palestine
15:55as part of its genocidal and colonialist actions in the Middle East.
15:59According to local media reports, most of the reservists will be sent to the Lebanese border to Syria
16:05or to the occupied West Bank with the purpose of releasing regular combat units for relocation to Gaza.
16:12The decision generated strong criticisms from the families of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza,
16:17who warned that intensifying the military campaign would only endanger their lives.
16:22The families blamed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for sacrificing the hostages for military objectives,
16:28instead of trying to rescue them.

16:32The United States House of Representatives will vote on a bill that would impose serious sanctions on citizens
16:43who participate in boycotts of the Israeli regime.
16:46If passed, the legislation would expand existing US anti-boycott laws to penalize those who engage in peaceful political action,
16:55especially those who align themselves with the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement.
17:01The legislation, co-sponsored by pro-Israeli Mike Lowler and Josh Gothamir,
17:07proposes punishments of up to $1 million in fines or up to 20 years in prison.
17:12Human rights organizations condemned the bill, warning that it would criminalize freedom of expression,
17:18which is protected by the Constitution.
17:21In South Sudan, at least three people were killed and 20 others were wounded in a helicopter and drone attack
17:34in the Olfangak and Doctors Without Borders Hospital.
17:38The attack began in the early hours of Sunday morning, when the two helicopters gunships first dropped a bomb on the hospital, pharmacy,
17:46and then fired on the town of Olfangak.
17:49The hospital pharmacy was destroyed and all medical supplies for the population were lost.
17:57In this regard, the County Commissioner Bial Potros declared that the helicopter and drones belonged to the South Sudan Defence Forces,
18:07while denouncing that the violence caused the displacement of more than 30,000 people from the city.
