00:00Dodgers have an injured pitcher. It's Tyler Glass now. He goes on the 15-day IL, and that doesn't
00:05smart as much coming off of Yamamoto's most recent performance. But Joe, overall, do you think the
00:11Dodgers have enough to sustain a roller coaster of injuries and call-ups and downs throughout an
00:16entire 162, then a couple of playoff series, then a World Series? Thoughts? Exhausting. That's my
00:24thought. That's the thought that Tyler Glass now has too, because we go through this every year.
00:28And here's this quote. I just don't really have the answer right now, and I think it's the most
00:33frustrating thing. It's not for a lack of trying. It's just kind of getting exhausting at this point.
00:38I know it's probably exhausting for a lot of people, for me especially. I feel bad for my teammates,
00:42bad for people watching. It's just very frustrating for me. It's hard. Yes. End quote. All those things
00:48are true. And every year we go through this with Tyler Glass now, where we get excited and we think,
00:53oh, maybe this could be the year we finally get 30 starts from Tyler Glass now. And it never is.
00:56It just never is. And this is a real problem here. The Dodgers now have not one, but two
01:02of their best pitchers on the IL. So I know the Dodger narrative is, it's okay. Everything will be
01:08fine, right? We've got enough depth. We've got a great team. Everything's going to be okay. All we
01:13need to do is get into the postseason. But if you can't get to the postseason with these arms healthy,
01:17that's going to be a problem, because then you get exposed. I don't care how good the bullpen is,
01:21right? If you're throwing, after Yamamoto, you're throwing Roki, Sasaki, and Kershaw out there. I don't think
01:25that's going to get it done at the end of the day. I just don't. So you're going to need Glass now.
01:28You're going to need Blake's now. You're going to need these guys. And right now, from a fantasy
01:31standpoint, I think Tyler Glass now wasn't far enough down the trough in terms of starting
01:37pitcher ranks because of the injury risk that he is. And it's unfortunate. Last year, I finally put
01:43my foot down about it because I was one of those people going, well, if, if, if, and you give a kid
01:47a break because he's only in his late 20s and he's in his early 30s. You're like, okay, it's now or never.
01:53And last year it happened again. And it was terrible. And I, for a while last year, I thought,
01:58oh, maybe I got this one wrong. Maybe this is finally the year. And then of course the injury
02:02happened, right? So for Tyler Glass now, it is frustrating. It's frustrating for everybody.
02:06It's exhausting. And I think going forward, you're just kind of stuck waiting this out
02:10and there's no timetable. So you don't know, this could be weeks. It could be months.
02:14I don't think it's going to be the season, but I wish I had more answers on this, but you got to go to
02:20the waiver wire. You've got to find some guys. Luckily, we're going to give you some names
02:23coming up soon with some prospect arms to pick up and that hopefully can help you bridge the gap
02:27while you're waiting for Glass now to return.
