00:00Here's the thing with Steph, all right?
00:02If we can just put Steph in an accurate ranking level,
00:08I wouldn't have to do this.
00:10But LeBron is getting more slander for being outplayed,
00:14and I'm not even fully sure he was if we want to open that Pandora's box,
00:17by Anthony Edwards than Steph is for being outplayed by FVV
00:22and Alperin Chengu.
00:24So to be able to say like,
00:27oh, well, Steph's just going to be brilliant in game seven.
00:31Maybe.
00:32That's the expectation.
00:33But Steph was supposed to be brilliant in game six.
00:39Steph scored five in the first quarter,
00:42went on an 11-0, a literal only person to score 11-0 run
00:47in a two-minute window in the second quarter.
00:51The thing is, he did nothing, nothing the rest of the quarter.
00:57They still lost that quarter.
01:00He was nonexistent in the fourth.
01:04They could not score the basketball, and he was nowhere to be found.
01:09And I know people are like, well, the Rockets are doing the anybody-but-staff defense.
01:14100%.
01:15But if we're banking on Steph, and they are then somewhat eliminating Steph,
01:21it becomes fascinating.
01:23The reason I would still, and I know I said I picked Houston in the series,
01:29I understand that, but the reason a game seven does shade Golden State
01:35is game sevens are so low scoring, the total is barely over 200.
01:42That is the path for Golden State.
01:45If the Rockets can keep their foot on the gas, if...
01:51I also think, though, it's very likely that FEV struggles from beyond the arc in game seven
01:55because this is outrageous.
01:58He has one of the best three-game stretches in, like, Rockets postseason history.
02:02That shouldn't be a thing.
02:04I was ready to cut him after game one and get Reed Shepard the minutes he deserves.
02:08Jalen Green has to step up.
02:10Well, that seems like false hope a little bit in this game.
02:13So, while I don't think that Golden State is done in any capacity, right,
02:20here is where I think, I know Coach will agree, I don't know where you'll land on, Tom.
02:28Golden State is not beating Minnesota, even if they get through Houston in this series.
02:32Not a chance.
02:34Defensively, I think Minnesota is the team that you want,
02:36where if you're looking to back a team, you're like, okay,
02:38they match up, the puzzle piece fits together,
02:40what Minnesota can do on defense will shut down the Warriors.
02:43And, J.Y., I think maybe it was much earlier on in the postseason,
02:47you were talking with some people about what a Golden State-Minnesota series price would be,
02:52but I think you would have to acknowledge Golden State having to go seven
02:55and Minnesota finishing the Lakers off in five,
02:58and we're going to get to that series next.
02:59Minnesota, I think now at this point,
03:01we might see minus 200 with having home court on a series price against the Warriors.
03:06And when we talked about it, I think it was on the early line when I talked about it,
03:10it was simply about the fact that it was 3-1 at the time.
03:15Everything has changed, and the recipe now for Houston is not going to be walk it up.
03:22It's to make Steve Kerr over coach.
03:25It's to make Steve Kerr go to the bench and try to find minutes
03:29and look at Steph and Jimmy at the fourth quarter who shot combined one of 12
03:35when a chance goes at home and saying,
03:36I don't think you can, I think you're going to do it again.
03:39They have to play with a little bit more pace
03:41and use their youth, what may actually help Jalen Green in the open court.
03:46We'll see you next time.
