Bhubaneswar (Odisha), May 03 (ANI): Hailing from Nepal, Prisha Sah, a first-year B.Tech Computer Science student at KIIT University, was found dead in her hostel room. The incident took place on the evening of May 1 to which the University expressed grief over her demise on May 02. Following the post-mortem of the Nepali student, her body was handed over to family members at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The grieving family chose not to repatriate the body to Nepal; instead, they proceeded to Puri to perform the last rites at Swargadwar. In response to the tragedy, the UGC has formed a 4-member fact-finding committee led by IGNOU VC to probe the recent alleged suicides. The committee will investigate the incidents, review student safety compliance, and recommend preventive measures. This makes it the second case of a student from a neighbouring country found dead in the same institute within 3 months
