South Warrnambool co-captain Harry Lee speaks after his first game of the Hampden league season, a win against Warrnambool.
Transcript
00:00Harry, good to be back, back with a win, but straight into a real tough contest there.
00:04Yeah, like to be honest, I would have liked a bit of an easier game, but Warrnambool brought it.
00:08Of course they did, they're a solid team.
00:10So yeah, we're out there, very contested.
00:13So they made us fight for it until the last five minutes, which was fantastic.
00:17And I'm sure there's room for improvement, I'm sure.
00:20Yeah, absolutely. I just reckon our connection is just not quite there.
00:23You don't really expect to have that right now this early on.
00:26But yeah, and probably come in with the right mindset.
00:29We sort of took a full half to get going then.
00:31So I reckon if we can come ready to the games a bit earlier and then just start building on our connection, we should be fine.
00:37There's those sort of wins, it could be important come the back end of the year.
00:40Exactly. If you drop one of them and then we're sitting here with two losses, you start to go and scratch something and go,
00:45geez, how we're looking. But being able to win those ugly games, that's always really good for me in September.
00:51And how were you feeling out there, back from some time off?
00:53Yeah, yeah, I had a few weeks off. Yeah, it was fantastic.
00:57But out here, yeah, pretty sore now. I'm ready to get in the ice bath, that's for sure.
01:01Sounds good. Well, I'll let you enjoy it, mate.
01:02Cheers, mate.
