A small single-engine Cessna aircraft caused surprise and concern on Friday (May 2) after making an emergency landing at the exclusive Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California.
The incident was captured by golfers on site, who filmed the moment the plane — tail number N3753L — touched down on the fairway. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the aircraft was carrying three people, all of whom escaped unharmed after the emergency landing.
The aircraft was en route to Santa Monica Airport, located just 5 miles from the Riviera Country Club, when it was forced to abort its original flight path. The cause of the emergency landing remains unknown and is currently under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
Despite the dramatic scene, the landing was successful and caused no injuries or damage to the club’s facilities.
