00:00A tanker lorry driver, believed to be under the influence of drugs, crashed into a car
00:07before colliding with a trailer in an incident along kilometre 39 of Jalan Kuala Lumpur,

00:21Yunus said the accident occurred at around 4.35 p.m. and involved three vehicles, a car,
00:28and the tanker driven by a 57-year-old suspect. Initial investigations revealed that the accident
00:35began when the tanker rear-ended a car driven by a local woman who was travelling from Selayang
00:41to Batangkali. The tanker then lost control and veered into the opposite lane,
00:46side-swiping a trailer coming from the other direction. Fortunately, no one was injured in the
00:52incident. However, a urine test later confirmed that the tanker driver tested positive for
00:57methamphetamine. Further checks also revealed that the suspect has a criminal record, including
01:04five prior drug-related offences and 32 traffic violations. The case is being investigated under
01:11Section 43, subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
