00:00There are fantastic cameos.
00:02You really can't wait.
00:03No, I'm not going to.
00:05I'm not.
00:05I'm like the Disney police over here.
00:07You're not the Disney.
00:08They've already seen the trailer of the movie.
00:10It's like embedded in me since I was dead.
00:11I know.
00:12It's all good.
00:13The Disney police are not going to come and arrest me, Lindsay.
00:16Don't worry.
00:16I'm like muzzling you.
00:17I'm not being muzzled because I haven't said anything.
00:20But remember, they've already seen the trailer.
00:30I watched the first film about a week before we started shooting.
00:35The idea of walking a mile in somebody else's shoes is just a universal thought.
00:41We all look at everybody else's life and think,
00:43I wonder what it would be like to have that life.
00:45My wedding's tomorrow.
00:47Oh my God, my wedding's tomorrow.
00:49I can't marry Ryan.
00:51Ew.
00:52The body swap is so you feel what the other person feels like.
00:56I saw it like about a week into a shooting.
00:59Oh.
00:59This one.
00:59This time.
01:00Yeah.
01:00And I didn't watch the whole thing.
01:02But I...
01:03Just your part, your part, your part.
01:05Just me, me, me, me, me, no.
01:07Actually, kind of because I was watching the guitar solos and the guitar scenes
01:10because I wanted to compare, see how much better Anna had to be
01:15after playing that long over the span of time.
01:17And I wanted to see my son's reaction if he noticed yet that that's mommy.
01:20But I don't think he got it.
01:22I think the best part of reuniting with Pink Slip was the fact that we all felt like,
01:38when we saw each other, the whole band, it felt like we'd never left each other.
01:42I forgot how much I loved the music from the original movie.
01:45And it's the original band.
01:50And then, yeah.
01:52It's just so great.
01:54I've had the great fortune of traveling around the world talking about movies.
01:59And I had the Halloween series.
02:02And that took me around the world.
02:04We went everywhere.
02:05And every country I went to.
02:07What about Freaky Friday?
02:08The energy and the enthusiasm behind the constant refrain.
02:13But what about another Freaky Friday?
02:14She called the studio directly and said, make this movie.
02:18I called the studio directly because one very important fact existed.
02:24Lindsay was old enough to be the mother of a teenager.
02:27You can't do this movie without Lindsay having a teenager.
02:30It wouldn't work if Lindsay was playing the mom of a 15-year-old,
02:34but the math didn't add up.
02:36Then you would be like, wait, no.
02:37Then I did the math.
02:38I literally did.
02:39Believe it or not, I actually did math.
02:42Her age, minus 15.
02:45It was like, oh, oh, it'll work.
02:47And so then I happened to call the studio.
02:56It's the first time I'm really, I'm playing a mom.
02:58I played one in labor pains for like the very second at the end,
03:01but you didn't see it.
03:02It's like I go into labor, so I've never played a mom before on screen.
03:05So it's special to me.
03:06What's happening?
03:07It's, it's all right.
03:07Who's in my body?
03:08It's okay.
03:08It's me, Harp.
03:09It's mom.
03:10Wait, what?
03:10If you're me and I'm you, then who is that?
03:14I'm grandma, sweetheart.
03:15The necklace I'm wearing, which I wear, which I also gave to Lindsay,
03:19which has our children's names engraved on the back.
03:23I wear it in the movie.
03:24It's the first time I've ever worn something of mine as Tess.
03:28She's probably the closest to like Jamie, Tess, Tess, Jamie.
03:33I'm like, I'm very Tess-like.
03:34My son's so young, so I can't really compare to what it's like to have a teenager.
03:43But I am very close.
03:43Just wait.
03:44But I am very close with my youngest siblings.
03:46Just you wait.
03:47So I do have that to refer to.
03:48Oh, that's true.
03:48That's true.
03:49That's true.
03:49Yeah.
03:50And my family.
03:51So I've grown up with my, you know, youngest brother and sister.
03:55So I kind of used that.
03:56Your lifelines.
03:57It's like they've intersected before.
04:00You've walked in each other's path.
04:03I just went into it as how Anna was then and how different she would be now
04:07and how she's learned from Tess.
04:08And actually, this Anna is a lot more like Tess's.
04:12Mm-hmm.
04:13I kind of used more of your character.
04:16And that really channeled, inspired me and channeled it.
04:20Oh, girls, that doesn't work.
04:22Ow, ow.
04:23I think I just peed a little.
04:24They're such lovely girls.
04:26They're so sweet.
04:26They're so mature for their age.
04:28They became besties.
04:29Yeah, they became besties.
04:30So, you know, when you're two young teenage girls playing.
04:33Which is so fun for them because I didn't have any kids.
04:36Right.
04:36You didn't get to be friends with somebody.
04:39And they just became besties.
04:41We all had to do exercises where we all had to practice the switch,
04:46practice mannerisms, watch each other.
04:48You know, that's daunting.
04:50You know, they're coming in and stepping in and taking.
04:52We're flipping with them.
04:54Each of us in our own way.
04:55Also, I think you're forgetting the obvious part that's scary.
04:57Like, you're Jamie Lee Curtis, too, and they're on set with you.
04:59I'm terrifying, everyone.
05:00I am terrifying, as you can tell.
05:02You just said something at the dinner.
05:04What did I say at the dinner?
05:05I forget, you were like...
05:07You were asking her where she lived.
05:08Right.
05:09You were like, no, really, but where in that area?
05:12And she was like, you're scaring me.
05:13And you were like, good.
05:15And she would squeeze my hand sometimes.
05:18It's all good.
05:19We all got along beautifully.
05:22We had a really good time.
05:23We had a group chat the whole movie.
05:25We still have it going.
05:26I won't tell you what it's called.
05:27I can tell you what it's called.
05:29It's called Freakies.
05:30We have a Freakies chat, which is our internal, just the four of us.
05:35Because it's important that we, as the people who've done this for a long time, and have
05:40been through a Freaky Friday experience with Disney, to be able to be there for them to
05:45say, this is really mind-messing, all of this.
05:50And we're here.
05:51And we're here in a safe place.
05:54Like, we can say whatever.
05:55And we have said things to each other that we won't say to everybody else.
05:59And that's been really lovely.
06:01In fact, it feels a little weird to be doing this without them.
06:03My face looks like a Birkin bag that's been left out in the sun to rot!
06:09All of the original cast members are back.
06:12All of them.
06:13Fully back.
06:14Fully formed.
06:15Fully aged.
06:16It's kind of beautiful.
06:18It feels nostalgic and brand new at the same time.
06:21Love for it has grown for me.
06:23Especially now, doing Freakier Friday.
06:25Everyone can find a part of it to relate to.
06:27Teenagers always.
06:29Parents always with their kids.
06:30You know, the movies are to bring you together and have experiences together that are beautiful
06:35and funny and sweet and a little wacky.
06:39And this has all of that.
06:41You know, it was groovy.
06:42You know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, and you know, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just like, you know, the movies are just
