00:00Hi, so I was wondering how you might be handling the balance between pursuing foreign and what you consider foreign criminals and national criminals, because foreigners are not the only criminals.
00:16A lot of foreign agents at the state and local level are open to national universities that are committing crimes, so how are we balancing that to ensure we're not distracting them from their job?
00:27Sure.
00:28Well, our state and local, they are doing their jobs, as they always do.
00:35Their role in this is to supplement the efforts that the feds are doing.
00:40The reality is, is they come into contact with illegal aliens more than the feds do, just in a matter of course.
00:46And so to have this cooperation, I mean, our highway patrol, you have people driving on the highways here illegally.
00:52They don't have, no, we don't issue driver's license.
00:54We don't recognize driver's license.
00:55We don't recognize any ID for people here illegally in Florida.
00:59But nevertheless, they're driving.
01:01Well, our highway patrol can then work with ICE and get this process moving.
01:06So it works well in harmony.
01:08And I think ultimately, if you're enforcing immigration laws consistently, I think that that leads to less crime overall.
01:16And I think it ends up helping their, their missions.
