Stellaris entfesselt im neuen Addon den Schwarm und lässt euch als Planet spielen

Im neuen Entwicklervideo zu Stellaris: Biogenesis gewährt Paradox Interactive einen ersten Einblick in das kommende Fallen Empire mit Schwarmbewusstsein (Hive). Gleich drei rivalisierende Fraktionen kämpfen hier um die Kontrolle über ein uraltes, biologisches Erbe. Der Schwarm ist dabei nicht nur Story-Kulisse oder Bedrohung, sondern auch eine wertvolle Quelle für Biomasse-Technologien, die sich direkt auf euren Spielfortschritt auswirken.      Diese neuen Mechaniken greifen perfekt ineinander mit der ebenfalls vorgestellten Ursprungsgeschichte »Wilderness«. Damit startet ihr als lebendiger Planet – ein empfindungsfähiges, ökologisches Bewusstsein, das seine Umgebung aktiv formt.       Klassische Bevölkerungseinheiten (Pops) entfallen bei diesem Spielstil, stattdessen setzt ihr gesammelte Biomasse gezielt für den Ausbau eures Imperiums ein. Von lebendigen Gebäuden bis hin zu organischen Kolonieschiffen – Biogenesis verspricht eine radikal andere Spielerfahrung.      Der DLC erscheint am 5. Mai 2025 auf Steam . Gleichzeitig erscheint ein großes Update, das Stellaris auf Version 4.0 katapultiert.

00:07I've been working on the Hive Fallen Empire

00:10as well as the Wilderness Origin for this expansion.

00:16You heard that right.

00:17With Biogenesis we're adding a new Fallen Empire

00:20for the first time since 2017

00:22where we added the Machine Fallen Empire.

00:25Now the Hive Fallen Empire is a little bit different.

00:28Eons ago, it's shattered into its three forming parts right now.

00:33The War Fragment, the Growth Fragment, and the Control Fragment.

00:37All three of these exist and are vying for control.

00:40Each one will be tasking you with their own unique mission sets,

00:44their own unique events, as well as rewards.

00:46And based on which one you favor and which one you help the most,

00:49you might be able to influence which one is the one that takes control when they awaken.

00:54As with all Fallen Empires, this is your primary source of dark matter technology.

00:59However, this time they will give you Bioship technologies.

01:03The Wilderness Origin is a new Hive exclusive origin

01:07where you get to be the planet.

01:10You don't really care about pops and all that kind of boring, menial drone stuff.

01:16No, no, no. You have biomass.

01:19And you spend biomass, you spend your population to build buildings,

01:24to colonize worlds through terraforming.

01:26Using your own exclusive buildings, as well as city set and districts,

01:31you will tackle the game in a very different manner than what you're used to with Hive Mines.

01:35And while you won't be building any colony ships with the Wilderness Origin,

01:39you will be using your Bioships to great effect as you progress down the Purity Ascension Path.
