00:00It's obviously an exciting day. Milano Cortina 2026 is just around the corner and this is the
00:07first step on the pathway for our athletes and our team. It is in fact 281 days until the Olympic
00:14cauldron is lit in Milano and we're expecting to have a team of about 60 athletes that are going
00:21to take to the snow and the ice and do our country proud in Italy. So we are here as I said in
00:28Melbourne for an important milestone which is the team orientation event. This is all our aspiring
00:34Australian Winter Olympic team. They're being measured up today for their uniforms with our
00:39team partners Carbon, XTM, Sportscraft and Volley. They're also here to hear key information from us
00:47about the games. We're doing accreditation photos and really we want them to be able to connect with
00:53each other and I guess galvanise our broader winter community to start forming the team of 26.
01:01This is a key touch point for all of our athletes on their journey and their pathway to potentially
01:06competing at the games. They have all just finished up in the northern hemisphere. Our athletes have
01:12been training and competing and fighting for their chance to earn that place of representation on
01:17the team. So the nerves are high but the excitement is also there.
