00:24he is the current acting webinar
00:28the founder and president of england kabaddi association
00:31uh sir what is this new junk that we are seeing in gi pkl how different
00:36are this league is from other leagues like pkl
00:40and several other leagues gi pkl this is the first kind of league in india
00:45and to promote kabaddi globally and it's joint adventure
00:50between jkl and the parwasi bharati the aim is a kabaddi ki nahi junk
00:56that's a motto that's a logo kabaddi ki nahi junk means a new
01:00revolution in kabaddi so we are bringing to new
01:03revolution kabaddi which has never happened before
01:06you will see we using the same pitch for the men's and the women's it's never
01:12happened before and we giving same prize money for the
01:17women's and men's in the final it's never happened before
01:20even the trophy because we believe there's an agenda between
01:24men's and women's right and this sports
01:27to go to globally so we need the the players from around the world
01:32and this league you will see each team men's and women's and they are
01:37two players from the abroad like many country many different different country
01:42so what is the aims they can learn from them from the experienced people
01:46they can enjoy they can get the experience and go back
01:50and develop covered in their own reason in their own country
01:53okay other thing the aim the indian culture
01:58okay if you living in england or if living in the usa
02:02and you've been to india once and go to your village spend a few
02:06few days and go back you don't know the culture because there's a
02:10many states many reasons in india so this way
02:13from 20 days they're talking to each other they're asking their tradition
02:19they're asking their traditionally food they're asking they
02:22um about the india because what we heard in
02:25in in back home uh whatever we seen on the tv from bbc
02:30india is this india is that but this way actually they can take a real message
02:34what is the actually india is incredible india
02:38through this kabadi kabadi bounding i think it's kabadi bounding to the
02:43global right this beautiful sports kabadi
02:46where you don't need any equipment there's a very few sports in this country
02:51and this is the why the foreign countries the people are
02:54adopting the sports and it's fast growing sports on the earth
02:58we just delivered a first world cup outside
03:02asia uh three weeks ago in england in my my own city
03:07and where is i think more than 25
03:10millions people watch across the world in a seven country
03:13so you talked about uh three weeks ago you organized this world cup in england
03:18it was your dream and it did come true so i want to
03:22know about uh this thing like we are trying to take kabadi to
03:26a global scale and this is our indigenous game we are very proud of it
03:31and we are taking it to the next level but you have worked on ground to bring
03:35together these teams in world cup how difficult or should i say how
03:39easier it was for you to you know get together all of these
03:43teams and organize the world cup it is a difficult
03:46outside india because india is you there's a quota
03:51and the player when they go on a national level so they've been
03:54employed by the private sector government sector
03:58so they aim just play kabadi and they will get the
04:01wages and they also coaches outside india
04:06where we act in western country it's not like that there's no quota for the
04:10sports person to get in a sports job and for the
04:14coaches whatever we do over there we spend our own money this is a
04:18challenge for us and it's so hard to get a player
04:21because the player every players every um in in sector so they have to work
04:27the people working here as well but the difference here outside
04:32outside india we the player and i we have to work and then we have to
04:38go for the training so this is hard to get a player to get
04:43continuous training and the build of a team so this is the
04:46big challenge and the world cup is was more
04:49challenged because the sponsors and then again this is the
04:53not their game like in india this is indian sport the people can
04:57understand people know the value of the sports
05:00but outside in western country is new sports it was challenged but we went
05:04through with the help of the god and blessing i could say
05:08and the help from the this petty power they sponsor us and then the
05:11government is called western milan growth company
05:15and the legacy fund from the government uh the commonwealth game so this is the
05:20they help us to promote because they said the south asian like we have a less
05:24into the sports they want more south asian into the
05:27sports if you see olympic chart if you see the commonwealth chart there's a very
05:32handful um asian taking part and role model back home
05:37so this is the reason the government investing into discovery
05:40this was my dream when i started 30 years ago
05:43one day i can have a world cup so it was hard
05:46to go country to country country to country to build up
05:49country and build up the team build up the federation
05:52but when you have a believe and you have a passion so i think that god
05:57bless you as well and this is not only mean
06:00it's help there's many helping hand behind this
06:03and we deliver successful first ever world cup outside asia
06:07that is beautiful that we were able to pull that off but another
06:11vision another milestone that we're looking at is to
06:14you know play in olympics how far this is you think yeah this is a dream
06:19i think every kabaddi lover that's their dream so when kabaddi can go to the
06:23olympic we need a sport we need a sport from
06:26over indian government like american they go american football
06:30they investing american government they invest into the sports
06:35and that's why you will see there's a rugby and there's a football and the
06:39baseball because they invest in game but in kabaddi i don't see the indian
06:44government they invest into the kabaddi outside india
06:47uh i proud because i love this sport right and i got the sport from my family
06:52and they invest my own money my own time is uh
06:57it's my passion but if government help all their consulate journal
07:01outside india it will be the different uh picture but hopefully when 2036 olympic i
07:09hopefully india will win this bid and then host the olympic then the kabaddi will be part
07:15of the olympic final question from my side what message do you have for young kabaddi players
07:20or for anyone who is in sports and want to and aspire to become a kabaddi player and make a global
07:26name for themselves yeah india is a huge and there's a i don't know how many hundred thousand
07:30players they have a dream to become a national player they can play for asian game they can play for
07:35world cup and it's hard sometimes you are deserving to get in a team but you can't get a
07:43place into the team because there are many huddle portal in india but my message is never give up
07:49never give up believe yourself keep going one day you will succeed as myself i played kabaddi in india
07:56in punjab and the carried dream one day i will deliver the world cup i did it because this is the
08:02help from god never give up keep carry on keep play kabaddi love kabaddi thank you so much so uh
08:10here it was mr das with us thank you so much mr das for speaking with us thank you thanks for having me
