00:00Obviously, the story broke wide that a prank call was made where the information came from the home of Jeff Ulbrich.
00:06And it turns out to a $250,000 fine for the organization and $100,000 fine for Jeff Ulbrich.
00:12When you saw this story came down, your initial thoughts from the Atlanta Falcons were what?
00:18It should have been expected that they were going to get in some sort of trouble and the fines all feel fair and justified.
00:26Now, again, the fines are not for the prank call.
00:31The fines are for disclosing the personal information of a draft prospect.
00:36Well, the phone calls happen every year.
00:39We get pranks all the time.
00:40Noah was upset about Cooper DeGene.
00:42We don't know that Cooper DeGene's information came from an NFL coach.
00:48That's the issue.
00:49An NFL employee, an NFL coach had data compromised, and it doesn't matter that it's in his home house.
00:55Like, I understand this isn't the military, but when I have sensitive information for the military in my home, I'm still responsible to safeguard it from everyone and everything, including the people in my home.
01:06So the bottom line here is that the NFL and its employees have an inherent right to protect personal data, whether that's phone calls, phone numbers, or anything else.
01:15I mean, what if it went a step further, guys?
01:17What if they got his address and somebody drove to his house, right?
01:20Is that where the line is officially crossed, right?
01:23I mean, when do we decide that the line has officially been crossed?
01:28So the point is, is that you have to safeguard the data.
01:31They did not do it.
01:31Jeff Ulbricht did not do it.
01:33And, you know, the Falcons got fined, and he got fined for it.
01:36And people are like, wow, 10% of Ulbricht's $1 million salary isn't a slap on the wrist.
01:40It's better than 100% in getting fired because there's an argument to say that you should be fired for this for not safeguarding personal information.
01:46Now, as far as his son is concerned, I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but if I was Jess Ulbricht, I'd beat his ass severely.
