00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark. I am Prometh and the car that you see behind me is the Kia
00:07Seltos X-Line and we've been driving this car for a few days now and we are going to tell you today
00:12in this video some things that we like about this car and some things that could have been
00:16slightly better. So let's quickly start this video.
00:19So this is how the key of the Kia Seltos X-Line looks like you can lock the car and lock the car
00:31this is to remote start the car and over here you can open the boot. Now let us quickly open the
00:38hood over here and after opening the hood you see that this is a turbo obviously it's a 1.5 liter
00:44turbo petrol engine. Pumps out 158 bhp of power 253 nm of peak torque. It gets a couple of engine
00:50options I'll be telling that later. But let us now quickly see the car from the front end
00:55especially in this paint shade that we get over here. Now this is the matte graphite and looks
01:01absolutely fantastic in this paint shop. You can also see that over here this paint job is slightly
01:07hard to maintain as it is completely in matte but over here you can notice that in bright sunlight
01:15also the paint job is looking absolutely fantastic. And yeah so let's start off with the front end
01:20you get connected DRLs you also get this LED headlamp that has DRLs, indicators, fog lights,
01:26cornering lights, everything. That is your separated fog lights right over there that you get. It's a
01:31four port for the fog light and you get some gloss black accents as well. However chrome is missing
01:37from this there is no chrome whatsoever on the car since this is an X line and that is what the
01:42bumper looks like. You get a radar for your ADAS. That's your camera that helps assist with this
01:47radar. That's your heads up display and you get some nice body lines and creases all over especially
01:53on the hood. If you move to the side of the vehicle you will notice that you get these 18 inch
01:57alloy wheels. These alloy wheels look nice. Machine cut alloy wheels. You get body cladding. Ground
02:01clearance is around 190 mm which is pretty decent for Indian roads. You also get a gloss black ORVM.
02:08So the 360 degree camera you get four cameras for your view and one camera right over here at the
02:13front for the ADAS. That is how the side profile looks like. Well on the side you get a little bit
02:17of chrome which could have been eliminated. A gloss black would have looked very nice. You get a gloss
02:23black over here for the roof rails. A panoramic sunroof, a shark fin antenna and that is how the rear
02:28section of the car looks like. You're going to get connected LED tail lights. You get the X-Line
02:34badge right over here. You get your Seltos badging right over here and you get twin exhaust setup.
02:39Both are working and you can see you get some gloss black settings over here as well. Well if you open
02:44the boot you have around 433 liters of boot space. You get a parcel tray that if you don't want you can
02:50remove. You got a 60-40 split over here and you also get a wiper with a washer. That is your spoiler
02:56again some gloss black treatment over here. Let us move to the inside. Let us quickly start off with
03:01the rear profile. That is how the rear door looks like. You get a shade that's a manual shade.
03:06Gloss black finishing. Then you have your silver finishing over here. Obviously you get a Bose 8
03:12speaker system. That sounds really nice. Seltos badging on the sills and that is how the interiors
03:17look like from the rear section. Well the upholstery is called sage green and it gets these contrast red
03:23stitching all over. Three headrests that are adjustable and you get an armrest. Well you can
03:31fold this if you are three people traveling and that is how the rear section looks like. That is
03:36your smart purifier, air purifier and obviously you can adjust everything. This is a touch panel
03:41over here. Now these are your AC vans. Your charging sockets right over here and you have some storage
03:46space. That is how the front cabin looks like and obviously the panoramic sunroof comes all the way
03:50to the back over here. Now let's go to the front. First of all that is how the front door panel looks
03:56like. You can keep a bottle over here. Again your Bose badging for your sound system. Window controls
04:00and let us now quickly start the car. So there you go. It starts up. Obviously you get keyless entry
04:09on either side. So that is how the interiors look like. You have a heads up display right over here.
04:16You can switch it off with the button over here. If you press about two seconds you can see that that
04:20everything goes away and you can do the same for it to get it back up. Now if you see over here you get a
04:26flat bottom steering wheel. Again you get red stitching all over the steering wheel. Some black accents
04:30over here. It's a 10.25. It's a 10.25 cluster over here. A lot of information on the cluster. Then again a very
04:36good thing. It looks absolutely futuristic. This is your AC controls. Could have been slightly better. You get a
04:41dual zone climate control right over here. These are your buttons that have haptic touch which is good.
04:47And yeah these are your volume rockers and this is to scroll through your songs or your radio stations.
04:55So yeah this thing should be on every car. Some sort of buttons. All of this has a haptic touch. None
05:01of this is a touch panel. And if you notice that is your wireless charger. Yes it's kind of hidden over
05:09here. So you have to keep your phone just like that and the light will start glowing over here.
05:13That means your phone is charging. You have your USB type C, type A. That's your 12 volt charging
05:18socket and some storage space over here. That's your drive and traction button. So when you press
05:23this you have traction mode. You have snow, mud, sand and then you have drive mode where you have
05:29eco, normal and sport. So there you go. That is how the cluster also changes along with the modes.
05:36And apart from that this is how the interior looks like. Again the sage green with the X line badging
05:42over here. You have contrast stitching all over. That is your armrest. Again that's an air purifier.
05:48As I mentioned from behind you can see it is on from here. So yeah you get the reading and you can
05:52obviously fiddle with this thing for your fan speed and everything. And if you open this up you will notice
05:58that this has this filter which can you can open from either side and there you go. That's how you clean
06:05the filter for the air purifier and air comes out through here. That's your cubby hole that has some
06:10space. You can get some luggage. That's your cup holders. Again very neatly done. Ventilated seats on
06:15either side. Now the driver's side seat is basically electronically adjustable but the passenger side
06:20is a manual adjustable seat. You don't get a vanity mirror for the driver. You do get a vanity mirror
06:26for the passenger. However you get a sunshade over here. That is how your LED light looks like. And
06:32over here you get an auto dimming IRVM. Now that is how the front end looks like. You obviously have
06:39some soft touch materials all over the car and the red contrast stitching actually looks very nice.
06:45If you talk about the sunshade that is how you open the sunshade and it goes all the way up to the
06:51rear section that is your rear seats. And that is how the cabin becomes much more airy and you can
06:57enjoy the weather from sitting inside the car if it's raining outside or if you want a little bit of
07:02sunlight inside the car. And luckily this shade is very thick so no sunlight can enter from here.
07:09So yeah that is how the interiors look like and now let us go and drive the car.
07:13So now we are in the driving seat of the Kia Seltos X line and let me tell you the engine
07:23specifications of this car particularly. Now this car that we are driving is the turbo petrol variant
07:28which pumps out around 158 bhp of power and 253 nm of peak torque. However this also gets a 1.5 litre
07:36naturally aspirated engine and it also gets a 1.5 litre diesel. So you have all engine options starting
07:41from naturally aspirated. Then you have your turbo petrol and then also you get your diesel engine
07:47options. So yeah wide range of engine, wide range of gearbox, gearbox, you have IMT, you have manual,
07:54you have automatic torque converter and then you have the DCT which is this. Now since we are driving
08:00the turbo petrol DCT and this pumps out some decent amount of power let us quickly do a pull over here.
08:06So let me put it on sport mode. And let us slow it in 3, 2, 1 and here we go.
08:17There we go triple digital speeds in no time. And we reach around 120 which is again pretty decent.
08:340200 comes in at 9 seconds which is pretty nice. And over here the acceleration is brisk. The gearbox as you all saw
08:44it revs all the way up to the 6000 rpm mark and it is a pretty slick gearbox I must say.
08:50Well however DCT this could have been slightly on the faster side. If you use the manual modes then it is obviously
08:56much better gives you a much crisper feel of the shifts. But if you are driving it casually
09:03obviously it will not let you feel the shifts because it is a dual clutch and it is smooth but
09:09it could have been slightly more quicker and slightly better. And as I mentioned you get your
09:16driving modes over here. So you get your sport, normal, eco and you have terrain modes also that
09:22is snow, mud and sand. And obviously as you change the mode the cluster also changes. Your heads up display
09:28you can see you getting some information like speed and your ADAS level. Obviously this gets
09:33level to ADAS and you can control it from here. It gets blind spot monitoring as well and it gets a
09:38list of ADAS features that will actually keep you safe on the road. Well obviously let me tell you
09:43one thing. The seats are really really nice. As I mentioned the seat is very good. But they could have
09:49been slightly more on the cushiony side. They are good seats bucket kind of seats. They have proper
09:55fitment as you can see over here. They have good ball strings as well. But if they had a little bit
10:02of softness to them it would have been perfect. However you will get used to it. And since this is
10:07the X line obviously there are some things that are a little sporty about it. So yeah that is why
10:12you get such kind of seats. But the seats are comfortable. I'm not saying that they are not
10:16comfortable that they could have been slightly more cushiony or a little bit of cushion could have been
10:20added on them. But the steering wheel is nice. Feedback from the steering wheel is actually good.
10:25The suspension setup is also a mix and match of both where you can corner hard as well and this
10:32absorbs all the bumps and potholes that are thrown at you around in the city. So yeah suspension wise
10:37is also good. Engine is pretty powerful. The gearbox is nice and yes this also has a price to it. Now the
10:44price of the this one especially the turbo petrol dual glass transmission the DCT one is at around
10:5120.5 lakh rupees which is slightly on the expensive side but you get a lot of features like level 2
10:57ADAS, a 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine that is pretty powerful, a very good steering that has some awesome
11:03feedback, a good gearbox, a 7-speed DCT paddle shifters and all the bells and whistles that you need
11:10in a car. For example comfort you have ventilated seats then you have electric seats for the driver
11:15and then you also have a lot of safety options for the all new Celtos X-Line. Well I hope you
