00:00I actually grew up in Al Ain, which is part of Abu Dhabi, in the UAE, and I've been out and about in the music scene ever since I was a very, very young kid.
00:16I attended a lot of open mics, I went to a lot of talent shows in school, university, I also created my own music club.
00:24And then at one point, I think when I was 18 or 19, I decided to release my first song officially and decided to take this as a profession, basically.
00:33Yeah, I was actually graduating from university at that time, it was almost my senior year, and I was studying mass communication, that was my major, that was my bachelor's.
00:46But then I realized maybe this wasn't the thing that I wanted to do for the rest of my life, and I started producing music at home.
00:53I had a home studio, very cozy, very small.
00:56I started recording songs, and then I released the first one in English at 19.
01:01I actually did a lot of research on the internet because I didn't have any references or anyone to talk to about how to release a song on YouTube, Spotify, or on Rami, or any of those streaming platforms.
01:12But then I actually spoke to Big Hass, he's like an iconic human being when it comes to music in the UAE, he's a radio host too.
01:21And he guided me through the process, I released the first song on Rami, and then from there it just started playing on radios, getting radio plays all around.
01:32I started doing a lot of interviews, and then from there it just, things started booming, I guess.
01:37And from there it just started playing on radios, getting radio plays all around.
01:43I started doing a lot of interviews, and then from there it just, things started booming, I guess.
01:48I've definitely come very, very far.
01:51I've learned so much, I've gained a lot more experience.
01:55I've learned a lot from a lot of people because you meet a lot of characters and people you learn from, mentors in this industry.
02:02I took a couple courses as well in Berkeley, Berkeley College of Music when I opened in Abu Dhabi.
02:07You know, these couple of months, five, six months, really sort of made me a different person, a different artist.
02:13It can be very challenging sometimes because there's a lot of things happening all at once.
02:18You know, there's a lot of people experiencing the same thing.
02:21There's a lot of people promoting all at once.
02:24It's like, it's literally like a, like dropping a new product and you really have to package it well, work on it very well.
02:30Make it look very astonishing, make it look very shiny, you know, shed perfect light on it.
02:36It does take a toll on you sometimes, but I mean, it's exciting. The process is really fun.
02:42It's actually super fun. I don't think about it too much.
02:46Sometimes when I write a song, it just, it pops up, it pops on my mind in English and then I have to translate it in Arabic.
02:52But it feels, if it feels better in English, I keep it in English and vice versa.
02:56This year I'm planning to experience and experiment actually, planning to experiment with different languages,
03:02different accents and different dialects in Arabic language, which is also really challenging.
03:08But I'm up for it and I think it's a great way to communicate with other people from different cultures.
03:13It does, it does get a bit complicated sometimes.
03:18I always try to manage because this is, this is what keeps me on my feet.
03:22This is what really gets me going, you know, gets me excited and looking forward to the next challenge.
03:28Having so much fun with my friends, going out, seeing my family, my nephews.
03:33I don't think I can go two weeks without doing that, to be honest.
03:37It's, it's part of my, it's ritual for me really.
03:40It's, it's part of my, I mean, it's, it's, it's really what keeps someone sane.
03:44I mean, I don't know how you can go all the way without connecting with people that you love.
03:48There's a lot of artistic, there's a lot of influences really.
03:52I, there's like a list, ongoing list.
03:55There's a, there's legendary Arab musicians and singers.
04:00Fayrouz, Um Kulthoum, there's so many.
04:03There's Adele, I look up to Adele so much.
04:06It's crazy because it's, it's all about ballads and this, you know, captivating sense of, I don't know,
04:13it's sense of belonging.
04:14You just feel like everybody resonates with the same song.
04:17There's Taylor Swift.
04:18There's so many, really.
04:19There's so many composers, you know, classical old composers like Bach, Jakovsky.
04:25It's, it's a bunch of, it's a bunch of things really.
04:28As cliche as it sounds, honestly, keep going and just strive for greatness
04:34because if you settle for whatever comes your way, you're probably never gonna hit the jackpot.
04:40Yeah.
04:41Yeah.
04:42This is the first song I dropped.
04:44It's called Why.
04:45Oh, I'm about to lose my mind over you, baby.
04:52Oh, I'm about to lose my mind over you, baby.
04:58And this one's in Arabic.
04:59There's two songs there's seven songs there.
05:04We will be right on one level ready to go.
05:05We will be right there.
05:06What would you like?
05:07There's a melody.
05:08While you're dressed up, you leave me,
05:09In the middle, you have to lose your way.
05:10Where?
05:12Every decía Asia, someone who's你的 mind over you,
05:15или who's your heart over you,
05:16Cause you're not going to lose your mind over you?
05:18But if you're not supposed to be my mind over you,
05:20It's the continuable too.
05:21It's up to lose my mind.
