00:00...the way, and all of a sudden, from outside their window, they hear the sound of a trumpet.
00:11Da-da-da-da-da-da!
00:12They thought, did you hear that? What was that?
00:15They opened the window, and sure enough, it was a messenger, someone with a message to tell the community.
00:22And the three Hebrews knew exactly what this announcement would be.
00:28You know why? Because they were waiting for it. They knew what was coming, and now was the time.
00:34The announcement was made, everyone who can hear my voice must gather together in the Valley of Dura.
00:44This afternoon, at 3 o'clock sharp, you must be there, and do not miss this.
00:53And so, the three brothers, wait, were they three brothers, Neto?
00:57No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. They were friends. Friends.
00:59They were good friends, really close friends. Close enough to be like brothers.
01:04And so they said, alright, we were waiting for this day. We knew it was coming. We're ready for it.
01:11And later, they all gathered, all made their way to the valley of Dura.
01:16They were not alone.
01:18They were together with governors and treasurers and officers and satraps.
01:24And they were all heading to this valley.
01:27And when they got there, they could not believe their eyes
01:31because right in the center of the valley was this gigantic, huge, enormous...
01:41Neto, what are you doing?
01:42What is it?
01:43I can't see it.
01:44Oh, a huge statue.
01:46It's pretend, Neto.
01:47It's not really here.
01:49We're pretending.
01:50Guys, do you see it, guys?
01:51Do you see it?
01:52Can you see it?
01:54Your imagination, guys.
01:56You've got to imagine this.
01:57Imagine this.
01:58Yeah, imagine this.
02:00How big was it?
02:01How big was it?
02:01Imagine, imagine, imagine, imagine a huge image.
02:06The Bible says it was 90 feet high.
02:10Oh, man.
02:10Can you believe that, Neto?
02:11It's a big statue.
02:12How tall are you?
02:14I'm like 6 feet nothing.
02:16Yeah.
02:176 feet nothing.
02:18Yeah.
02:19So that's about 12, 13 netos on top of each other all the way up.
02:24Oh, man, poor guy in the bottom.
02:27Whoa, that's huge, 90 feet.
02:29And this image was not made of plastic.
02:33It was not even made of chocolate.
02:37Oh, wow.
02:39And they made this announcement.
02:41Harold came up.
02:42He said, listen up, everybody.
02:45This is the command.
02:46You will hear all sounds of instruments.
02:49And we hear the sounds.
02:51At the sound of the instruments, you have one choice.
02:55And that one choice is you will bow down, you will fall down, and you will worship the image.
03:03Can you believe that?
03:06Sad guys, Nishek, and Abednego, they were prepared for this.
03:10They had already made up their mind.
03:12And so they stood with everyone else.
03:15All the people were standing together.
03:17And all of a sudden, the music began to play.
03:24That's weak, Neto.
03:25That's weak.
03:26You can do a little bit better than that, Neto.
03:31Better, better, better.
03:33Maybe he needs some help.
03:34Maybe you guys can help him.
03:36At the count of three, let's make all sorts of noise of instruments.
03:40Are you ready?
03:41One, two, three, go.
03:46Yeah, that's more like it.
03:49And when they heard those noise, all these people, like hundreds, no, thousands of them,
03:55they fell down.
03:57And they bowed down in front of this image.
04:00Except for one, two, three men.
04:06You know who they were?
04:07Who were they?
04:09Shadrach, Nishek, and Abednego.
04:12Wow.
04:12They stood tall, Neto.
04:14What a courage.
04:15They stood tall.
04:16They stood tall.
04:18And the king couldn't believe it.
04:21Because the king had commended that all should bow down.
04:25And he said, who are those three?
04:26Bring them to me.
04:27And they brought them to him.
04:30And he said, did we not tell you that the punishment for disobeying my word is to be thrown into a fiery furnace?
04:38And the three Hebrews said, we do know that.
04:42And that's okay.
04:44That's okay.
04:45Our God can save us.
04:46But even if he doesn't save us, we're not going to bow down to this idol.
04:51Because we worship the one true God.
04:53They were loyal, boys and girls.
04:55They were what, everyone?
04:57Loyal.
04:58That's right.
04:59They were loyal.
05:00That means that nothing, nothing will distract them.
05:03They were loyal to their God.
05:05Committed to him.
05:06This made the king angry.
05:08He said, enough is enough.
05:10Put them in the fiery furnace.
05:12So they grabbed them.
05:14Tied their feet up.
05:15Tied their hands up.
05:16Now they were bound.
05:17And they carried them to the fiery furnace.
05:20Neto, can you imagine how hot that fiery furnace must have been?
05:23The Bible says it was seven times hotter than normal.
05:29Seven times hotter.
05:30Can you imagine?
05:31Yes.
05:31It was white fire.
05:33Wow.
05:33That's the hottest kind, isn't it?
05:35Yeah.
05:35That's right.
05:36That's right.
05:36We have another comment here, another question.
05:39Behind you.
05:39Please, Abby.
05:40What do you think?
05:41The Bible also says that the men who were closest to it, they fell down dead because it was so hot.
05:49Unbelievable.
05:50The fire was so intense that even the guards, she's right.
05:54Throwing them away.
05:55Even the guards.
05:57Can you reimagine?
05:59It was that hot.
06:00And they fell down as dead men.
06:02And Shadrach, Nisha, and Abednego, they were tossed into this fiery furnace.
06:07And the king probably sat back and said, I bet that taught them a lesson.
06:12And all of a sudden, he looks and he can't believe his eyes.
06:17They're gone, right?
06:19They're gone.
06:20They're burned up.
06:21That, though, there was not just three.
06:24There were now four.
06:26And Nebuchadnezzar looked and said, but wait, wait a minute.
06:29Wait a minute.
06:30I thought there were just three.
06:32But I see four walking in the midst of the furnace.
06:36And he said, come out, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
06:41Come out.
06:43And guess what happened?
06:45He just walked out.
06:46Just like this.
06:47Just like this.
06:49This came out.
06:50And guess what?
06:51Something did burn.
06:53Oh, yeah.
06:53Something did burn.
06:54What do you think burned?
06:56That's right.
06:58The ropes.
06:58They could walk.
07:00And their hands were up in the air, praising God.
07:02Yes, we have a comment there.
07:04Grandma Tina or one of our reps can give them a mic.
07:07Yes, Jasmine.
07:09What's also amazing is that even their clothes didn't smell like smoke.
07:12Isn't that awesome?
07:15Even their clothes.
07:17Man, God is so good.
07:18God is so good.
07:20Because when we are loyal to God, believe me, he protects us.
07:24He is such a great God, isn't he?
07:26That's a really great story.
07:27When they came out of the furnace, the king said, indeed, your God is the true God.
07:33Wow, what an amazing story.
07:35Kids, don't go away.
07:36Because when we come back, we're going to take a quiz to see just how much we remember.
07:43Did you know that research says that fathers who read to their children have a greater impact
07:49in helping their child develop language and literacy?
07:52Yes, mothers are important, but it is the father's interaction that helps children the most.
07:57So kids, grab a book and try getting your daddy to read to you.
08:01If you don't have a daddy, like I didn't, that's okay.
08:03Get your mommy or grandparent or someone else to read with you.
08:07You will be glad you did.
08:08Welcome back, boys and girls, to Bible Buzz.
08:13We just took a look at the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, how they did not bow down to that idol.
08:19So now, let the Rick B. quiz, and tell us how we're going to do this.
08:23That's really easy.
08:24You guys know how to play, right?
08:26That's just how to play.
08:27It's pretty easy.
08:29There will be one question on the screen, two answers.
08:32One is right, the other one is wrong.
08:34One is yellow, the other one is blue.
08:36Okay?
08:37And to vote, we're going to use either the blue or the yellow ball, okay?
08:42Are you guys ready?
08:44Are you guys ready?

08:49And we hope you're ready as well, those viewing from home.

09:18Answer it in three, two, one.
09:21Blue, B is the right.
09:23Answer, 90 feet.
09:24Good job, everyone.
09:25You're paying attention.
09:27Let's go on to the next question.
09:28Where, oh, this is going to be tricky.
09:32Where was the statue located?
09:35Was it A, in the Valley of Dura?
09:38Or B, Mount Sinai?
09:40Oh, where have we heard that before?
09:43Oh, both are in the Bible, but only one is the right answer.
09:46Three, two, one.
09:49Answer, please.
09:50You are right.

09:55Boys and girls, here it is.
09:58Where was the signal to, what, rather, was the signal to bow down to the image?
10:04Was it the sound of instruments?

10:11Five, four, three, two, one.
10:15Answer, A, yellow ball.
10:18Sound of instruments.
10:20Good job.

10:34Or was it B, four men?

10:39Think about it carefully.
10:41Think of all who was there in five, four, three, two, one.
10:46Answer, please.
10:48B, blue.
10:49That is correct.
10:50Four men.
10:52Excellent job, everyone.
10:54Wow.
10:54Today we heard about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and how they were loyal.
11:00They were what, everyone?
11:01Loyal.
11:02And today I wonder how many boys and girls want to make a decision to be loyal to Jesus no matter what happens.
11:10If that is your choice today, I invite you to stand with me.
11:14Would you stand?
11:14Amen.
11:16Amen.
11:17If you're watching from home, the invitation is for you, too.
11:20Would you stand for Jesus?
11:22Amen.
11:23We're standing for Jesus.
11:24And are you going to compromise?
11:26Yes or no?
11:28No.
11:29Are you going to be faithful to Jesus?
11:31Yes.
11:32And if you are told to sit down, are you going to stand up for Jesus?
11:37Yes.
11:37All right, everyone.
11:39God bless you.
