00:00Croatian Prime Minister Andrzej Plenković is concerned about instability in Bosnia-Herzegovina,
00:07but believes it is time to push for EU membership.
00:10In an exclusive interview to Euronews, he also said that enlargement should be a priority for the European Union.
00:17We as Croatia would very much like to see that Bosnia-Herzegovina is our immediate neighbour,
00:23a country where Croats are a constituent and people with equal rights with Bosniaks and Serbs.
00:29The Serbs should move towards the dynamics that other countries of the region have and we want to help them.
00:36But Plenković remains concerned about regional instability as secession threats grow in Republika Srpska.
00:42Leader Milorad Dodic escaped a detention attempt by Bosnian authorities.
00:47So we would very much like that Bosnia-Herzegovina shifts from potential instability and these tendencies of secession
00:54when it comes to Republika Srpska to a more harmonious and functional situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina
01:01where the EU path and reforms which are beneficial to citizens both in economic and social terms are implemented.
01:09The Croatian Prime Minister also believes that continuing to leave the Balkan countries waiting
01:14may further intensify the pressure from outside influences.
01:19The more slower the process is, the more influence of other global actors in the region we have,
01:26whether it's Russia, whether it's China, whether it's some other countries,
01:30and therefore we are advocating a structured and dynamic process.
01:34Plenković would like to have the issue of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Western Balkans debated at the June European Council.
