Natasha Asghar talks about the education debate in the Senedd
Transcript
00:00Hi everyone, my name is Natasha Ashgar. I'm the Conservative Regional Member for South East Wales
00:12and also the Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Education in the Welsh Parliament. Now it's
00:16certainly been a very very busy recess and I'm really glad that I feel like I'm back to school
00:20in the Welsh Parliament because this week has been a very very busy week and we'll continue to do so
00:24because I'm going to be bringing forward an education debate here where we're going to be
00:28talking about discipline in schools. Over recess and even prior to that I was meeting with a variety
00:33of different head teachers across the board from Monmouth to Caldecott School and literally up and
00:37down South East Wales and the relationship between them and also Paris clearly has disintegrated
00:43particularly since Covid. I've been talking to students as well about what they feel are some of
00:47the important aspects of having discipline and stricter discipline within their schools as well
00:51as issues such as mobile phones and much more. So all of these topics will indeed be discussed in
00:55our debate so make sure you stay tuned for that and below you can see the column that I have indeed
00:59written for the Chronicle. If you wish to get in touch with me for absolutely anything, it could be
01:04related to health, education, transport or whatever, please don't hesitate to reach out. My email address
01:09is natasha.ashgar at centres.wales
