00:00Don't let anyone see you in your weird little costume.
00:03Have you ever been in upstate New York and gotten killed by a shovel in the back of your head while you're having sex on film?
00:09Because that was one of my first things.
00:11Bucky's going to be in a shirt and tie.
00:13Yeah, right.
00:14Like, how could you, Wyatt?
00:15I know.
00:16Ladies and gentlemen, Thunderbolts.
00:17Listen, we've been waiting so long for something like this.
00:20And it's got so much heart.
00:22It's got so much, like, to it.
00:24And I'm not saying that you don't have those moments in here, David, but you are such a great comic relief as well.
00:32Is it nice being like that in a movie that has got quite deep moments?
00:37Yeah, I mean, you know, I also get to have this great stuff with Yelena that has a sort of richness to it.
00:43Let me jump in.
00:45The most incredible part of the movie is that the comic relief also has probably the moment that's going to make most people cry when Yelena and Red Guardian have their moment.
01:00And, like, to be able to do both of those things and commit to both of those things as exactly what they are and pull them off as David and Florence did, like, that is an extraordinary thing to be able to do as an actor.
01:14It's also an extraordinary thing to be able to do.
01:16But, like, that part of it just, I think, makes the movie for me.
01:20Yeah.
01:20But I do love him because his comedy comes from his psychosis, which is deeply, you know, he's definitely deranged in terms of his need for fame and his need for validation.
01:33And I think that's always funny when I meet people like that in life.
01:37And so to portray that is great.
01:39I mean, I love it when he was like, we work big for fame and fame and fortune.
01:44I was like, absolutely, that's what we all do at this time.
01:48Fortune buys you friends.
01:52Does David bring the same energy offset as well, the comedy?
01:55Or who is the one who's bringing the most laughs offset?
01:59Everybody did, but, yeah, David has, like, an optimistic way about him.
02:07Also cynical, but there's, like, cynical, there's, like, optimism within the cynicism.
02:12I feel like we've connected over that.
02:14It's a little boy cynicism.
02:16I agree.
02:17There's, like, an optimistic heart.
02:18Everybody has a different way.
02:20Everybody has a different way of bringing their joy and humor to the side.
02:24I think I could be guilty of getting along with probably everybody I've ever worked with.
02:28So, like, I like to see the best in people.
02:31That's not a bad thing.
02:32That's a great thing.
02:33But I think everybody brings their own special.
02:35We did have a really nice dynamic as we worked together.
02:37And, like, everybody fills their own role.
02:40I mean, you know, and everybody adds their own unique spin on things.
02:45There was something about all of us where we all are, I mean, we've been doing this for a while.
02:51We're not, like, you know, 22, and, you know, so there's a bit of a...
02:57By the way, we bring a lot of real, like, film games.
03:00Yeah, except for Lewis Pullman.
03:01He's a little optimistic.
03:03The rest of us are a little crustier and through the ringer, and so we have a grounded crankiness
03:11to all of us about being on a film show that's quite refreshing.
03:15I work on another television show that I do with a bunch of children.
03:20A bright, optimistic, blah, blah, nice to get with some crusty older people who are just kind of over it.
03:27Have you ever been in upstate New York and gotten killed by a shovel in the back of your head
03:31while you're having sex on film?
03:33Because that was one of my first things.
03:35Wow.
03:36Once you make it through that, then you can be a superhero.
03:40Ladies and gentlemen, you're wonderful.
03:41Let's go see if I'm a second.
03:43It's like an eye mask.
03:44Why a ruzzle?
03:45Once you've been dragged through that kind of mud, you're ready to put on a super suit.
03:51You earned your place.
03:51You earned your place.
03:52How did you know the interview was headed at this point, too?
03:55Sorry.
03:56I did not.
03:57I always love it when it goes off on a tangent.
04:00Thank you for bringing the realness.
04:02That's what we wanted.
04:04You two, though.
04:06Black Mirror Reunion.
04:07Yes.
04:08How nice was it?
04:09I mean, I'm assuming you maybe kept in touch with Null this time.
04:11Was it nice to be reunited?
04:12No, we didn't.
04:15Because that's real life.
04:17We don't talk.
04:18We filmed in London.
04:20We got on like a replay.
04:22We got on with that career in our lives.
04:23Amazing, super fun experience.
04:25And then be like, all right, well, let's see you again.
04:29And we did.
04:30And here we are.
04:32I know.
04:32It was.
04:33It was really fun.
04:34It was one of the great experiences I've had acting.
04:37Are you guys in the same episode?
04:38Same one together.
04:39Yeah.
04:40She tried to kill her.
04:41I tried to kill her.
04:43Why?
04:43We're like, we're close.
04:44You gotta watch it.
04:45Yeah, you gotta watch it.
04:46You gotta watch it.
04:47Blades us.
04:48We've seen the one with the pig.
04:50We've all seen the one with the pig.
04:52That was in season three.
04:53It was fun to be able to, again, I was like, oh my god, hands in it.
04:57Yes.
04:57It's gonna be awesome.
04:58I felt like I did get, I had rapport with people from before.
05:03I felt lucky to have this to, you know, you have a connection.
05:07It's not, it's the worst business to try and be real friends with people because you're
05:10all busy all the time.
05:12You're flying everywhere.
05:12In different countries.
05:13You know, when my agents called me and said like, you know, everyone leaves the actors in
05:17the Thunderbolts and when they said wire up, I was like, f**k, yay.
05:20It's just like this joy.
05:21It's like, yay.
05:22We had a great time.
05:23So this is gonna be the last time you guys see each other in a long time then after
05:27this, right?
05:28Definitely.
05:28Get on your planes and you'll go off in your own direction again.
05:32I don't know about that.
05:33There was something announced recently where we might be seeing each other again.
05:38How can I forget?
05:40How can I?
05:40I'm very excited for that.
05:42But you can't tell me anything, so there's no point asking.
05:44That's true.
05:44I am curious out of everyone on the cast, like, who is the Tom Holland of the press tour?
05:51Oh, the guy who reveals all the secrets?
05:52No one's really said anything.
05:56Yeah, I feel like I've buttoned it up.
05:58Like, years ago, I was guilty of that stuff, but I've gotten enough death threats.
06:03Executives at both Netflix and Marvel.
06:07I've learned to shut up.
06:09Yeah, have we had anybody say anything?
06:11I did say one thing once.
06:13We had that, like, interview line that we were doing a million years ago, and I was like,
06:17yeah, you know, when Bucky's a congressman, and I was like, f**k, I can't say that.
06:22It's, like, part of the story.
06:23Now everybody does.
06:24I guess that's not huge spoilers.
06:27No, it's like, Bucky's going to be in a shirt and tie.
06:30Yeah, right.
06:30Like, how could you, Ryan?
06:32I know, but that was the only time I ever, like, revealed anything.
06:36Well, if that's our worst, take that, Tom Holland.
06:39Yeah, that's fine.
06:41Yeah, you're fine.
06:42What did Tom Holland, what did he say?
06:43The big reveal, the big reveal, the Marvel spoiler reveal that I saw, that I do think
06:48as a blooper gaffe is pretty amazing, is Mark Ruffalo.
06:52Oh, my God.
06:52Don Tito going like, you know, in this one, everyone dies.
06:57Don Tito's crazy.
06:58He visibly, like, goes like, and then he goes, well, nice.
07:02I don't know how you guys are going to cope for doomsday.
07:07Like, I just, keeping that a secret, like, with the amount of people involved in that.
07:12I think I'm going to be too busy.
07:13I find it really easy to keep secrets.
07:14I'm actually, I find it really easy.
07:16I'm going to shoot it.
07:16Anyway.
07:18I said the other day, it's like, it's like, you're working, you get, like, your one square
07:22where you just have to, like, push in these rivets, and then you're asking, like, what's
07:26going on over there?
07:26Like, don't look over there.
07:27Yeah, that's true.
07:28It's funny, though, when you're filming, they give you, like, but if you're going between
07:31your trailer to set, they give you these cloaks to put over your suit, and I'm like, but
07:37if anyone's going to capture my face, surely we know I'm in it now.
07:40Like, it's like, whatever the suit is, it's going to be the suit.
07:42Like, there's a suit, like, there's a suit, like, there's a secrecy cloak.
07:46It's so embarrassing, because you're, like, walking from your trailer to set, and they
07:51give you, like, they're, like, to let anyone see you in your weird little costume, put on
07:56your bathrobe, your weird black bathrobe, and embarrassingly sheepishly
08:01walk to your trailer to eat your crappy salad before you come back.
08:06Yeah, it's not a romantic life, this movie's our life.
08:09No.
08:10You've not made it sound glamorous.
08:11No, it's not glamorous.
08:12No, whatever.
08:13Which is living up to Thunderbolts, you know.
08:14Exactly.
08:15That's exactly right.
08:16But they are so great, and this movie is so great, guys.
08:20I'm so excited for you.
08:22It's so good.
08:23Thank you for just bringing the fun, as well.
08:25Even this interview, like, it's so great.
08:27I love this.
08:28Thank you so much.
08:28So nice to see you.
08:29Nice to see you.
08:30Thank you, John.
08:30Bye.
08:31Bye.
