01:54What we've learned about the Homeland Security Secretary's
01:56alleged Gucci bag snatcher.
01:59I picked the wrong person to steal a first run.
02:00Are they part of an international ring of thieves?
02:05Up, up, and away.
02:07No! No!
02:08The speedboat gone airborne.
02:11It flew like a kite. It flipped. It spun.
02:14And the year of no buy.
02:17I have decided to do a no buy 2025.
02:19This is my list of things I will no longer be buying.
02:22Why so many people are saying bye-bye to spending.
02:25Plus, chaos at the airport.
02:28I want you to please take it.
02:30His plea to other passengers to record what was happening to him.
02:36Worst pain in my life.
02:38Then, next question.
02:40How did you guys meet?
02:41Not talking about this.
02:43No?
02:44No.
02:44The interview with coaching great Bill Belichick everyone's talking about.
02:48It was very remarkable to watch a 24-year-old woman sort of dictate what could be asked and what couldn't be asked.
02:54And are all these beautiful people too good-looking to be true?
02:58Hey guys, Brexley.
02:59Finding companionship.
03:01But there's one big catch.
03:03They're not real.
03:05Oh, hello, Isaac.
03:07Plus, hey Oprah, how about a hug?
03:10I'm hugging you in the blood.
03:12Now, Inside Edition with Deborah Norville.
03:16Hello, everybody, and thank you for joining us.
03:19At least two arrests in connection with the purse snatching of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
03:24It turns out both suspects allegedly are career criminals who are in this country illegally.
03:31And they were unaware of whose bag they were taking.
03:36As a White House official today said, they picked the wrong person.
03:39We're learning more today about the two illegal migrants arrested for stealing Kristi Noem's Gucci purse.
03:48The suspects are from Chile and are described as members of a gang terrorizing the East Coast.
03:5549-year-old Maria Bustamante Leyva is the man cops say stole Noem's purse from the Capitol Burger restaurant in D.C.
04:03as she celebrated Easter with her family.
04:06She was targeted, cops say, not because she's the Homeland Security Secretary, but because of her $4,000 Gucci purse.
04:14It was kind of shocking, actually, because it was sitting right by my feet.
04:18He hooked it with his foot and drug it a few steps away and dropped a coat over it and took it.
04:23Leyva has an extensive criminal record in, of all places, London.
04:28That's him, cops say, captured on surveillance camera, stealing a woman's bag in a London pub.
04:34He uses his foot to drag the bag towards him, then conceals it with his jacket, just like cops say he did with Kristi Noem's bag.
04:44He served three years in prison, was deported, and somehow ended up in the USA as an illegal.
04:51Orange County, California D.A. Todd Spitzer says he's been warning the federal government about Chilean crime rings for two years.
04:58They're very sophisticated. They have Wi-Fi jammers. They have police scanner jammers. They know exactly what they're doing.
05:07They're supported by their government. It's organized crime coming out of the country of Chile.
05:11Cops say this Chilean gang broke into the homes of NFL players Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelsey,
05:20stealing thousands in jewelry and sports memorabilia.
05:24Picked the wrong person to steal a first run.
05:25The Trump administration today touted their crackdown on illegal migrant crime,
05:30placing a gallery of the accused all along the White House driveway.
05:35The raids continued over the weekend at an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs,
05:41where cops say they apprehended 100 illegal migrants.
05:46Now spectacular footage of a boat crash over the weekend on Lake Havasu.
05:50These guys were trying to make a history with the new record, but instead, they made some different headlines.
05:56And incredibly, they're alive to read them.
05:59Heart-stopping video as a speedboat goes airborne at 200 miles an hour.
06:05No! No!
06:07Oh, my God!
06:09Here it is from another angle.
06:11You can see the boat flies up, then flips and spins around before crashing back into the water.
06:17The two men on board were trying to break a speed record on Lake Havasu in Arizona.
06:22And look at this video inside the boat as the accident unfolded.
06:27The speed right before the crash, 210 miles per hour.
06:35Oh, my God!
06:38Other boats rushed to the scene.
06:40Rescue diver in the water!
06:42It flew like a kite.
06:43It flipped.
06:44It spun.
06:45Ryan Ola is a member of the crew.
06:47That's the wrecked vessel behind him.
06:49It felt like it took an eternity to get to the boat and see what was actually going on.
06:55Incredibly, the two men in the boat survived.
06:57The safety capsule is designed to keep the drivers safe as possible.
07:00One walked away with a broken collarbone and some broken ribs.
07:04The other one just had a fractured knee.
07:06It was a weekend of other accidents on our nation's waterways.
07:09This crash happened on a canal in North Miami Beach when a boat slams into a docked vessel and overturns.
07:17Call 911! Call 911!
07:19You can see people in the water next to the capsized boat.
07:22Cops say everyone involved was rescued.
07:25Much more seriously, authorities say a passenger was killed when a boat crashed into a ferry in Clearwater, Florida.
07:32More than 40 people were on board the ferry.
07:34Authorities say the boat fled the scene.
07:37Think of it like a hit and run, but on the water.
07:40In addition to the person who was killed, another 12 people were injured.
07:44A new trend circulating on social media might actually be good for your wallet.
07:49It's called No Buy.
07:50Basically, it's people going public with their plan to cut back or eliminate unnecessary spending.
07:56And it's no accident that it's trending just when the surveys reveal that Americans' biggest concerns are all pocketbook issues.
08:03Amber Cagliano has more.
08:04I have decided to do a No Buy 2025.
08:07These consumers are all taking part in the No Buy Challenge.
08:11A turbulent stock market, tariff wars, and fears of a recession have more folks vowing to cut way back on shopping.
08:20This is my list of things I will no longer be buying.
08:22Number one, lunch at work.
08:24Buying lunch at work is for billionaires.
08:26This beauty influencer is digging up makeup she forgot she had.
08:30I bought it, and I think I only used it a few times, and I just forgot that it even existed.
08:34She's committed to wearing her one and only dress to all weddings and fancy occasions for the next year at least.
08:42This gal is also sticking with clothes she's already purchased.
08:46My rules are, one, no new clothes whatsoever.
08:48And this woman has decided she won't be buying croutons for the foreseeable future.
08:53I won't be buying any croutons.
08:55They're really easy to make yourself.
08:56We spoke to Saira Bhatti, who says she's on the No Buy Challenge, wearing clothes and shoes she's had for years.
09:03They're pretty worn in, but, you know, they're still functional, they're still good.
09:07Given the downturn that we've been experiencing, saving money has been a huge part of it.
09:12Shopping expert Trey Bodge.
09:14People are really not shopping as much.
09:16Yeah, so this is a trend that we're seeing popping up for this year.
09:19Many studies are showing that Americans are more cash poor right now.
09:22Debt is on the rise.
09:22Potentially, we have a recession around the corner.
09:25Tariffs are looming.
09:27The No Buy Challenge is also impacting the housing market.
09:31Real estate agents are reporting that many prospective buyers are hitting the brakes amid this period of economic uncertainty.
09:3824% of Americans have scrapped plans to make a major purchase, such as a home or car, due to concerns over tariffs.
09:47In other news today, an airline passenger is considering legal action after he was prevented from boarding a flight to visit his ailing mother.
09:55In fact, officers tased him as he begged bystanders to record the moment on their phones.
10:01Steven Fabian has more.
10:03Drama as police arrest a passenger as he's about to board a plane.
10:07Can somebody take this?
10:09I didn't do nothing.
10:10He struggles with four cops and shouts to bystanders that he's innocent.
10:14I want you to please take this.
10:16They arrested me for wrong reasons.
10:18Then, as the other passengers watch horrified, he is tased twice.
10:26The drama unfolded at Love Field in Dallas as dozens of passengers were boarding a flight to Oakland.
10:35He says the cops believed he was a cocaine dealer, but the only outstanding warrant they had was from an unpaid speeding ticket from five years ago.
10:46The worst pain in my life.
10:47I really felt I was dying when I was getting tased.
10:5053-year-old Michael Singleton is an executive chef for a catering company.
10:55What did the cops say when they came up to you?
10:57He announced himself as a narcotics detective, and I followed with, you got the wrong guy, bro.
11:03Like, this is a joke.
11:05So, you were telling them you got the wrong guy?
11:08Yeah.
11:08I have a traffic warrant for $500.
11:11You're a trillion, man.
11:12No, you said you have cocaine.
11:14I've been a drug dealer.
11:15No drugs were found, and he was released after paying that old speeding ticket.
11:21Singleton's looking for an apology from the Dallas police, but so far, they're standing by their decision to use a taser,
11:27saying Singleton displayed defensive resistance by tensing his arms and refusing to place his arms behind his back.
11:34Do you think you could have handled this situation any differently?
11:37I was just really shocked.
11:39I wasn't trying to be aggressive or nothing.
11:43Dallas police say Singleton was taken to the city detention center and charged with that outstanding warrant.
11:49No other charges, they say, were added or are pending.
11:52When you're trying to sell a book, you need to get noticed, and former Super Bowl winning coach Bill Belichick is definitely getting noticed,
11:59thanks to his much younger girlfriend, who put the kibosh on one question during an interview.
12:03It's the interview everyone's talking about with legendary football coach Bill Belichick.
12:11There was so much to unpack in this interview.
12:14That's why the Internet is aflame.
12:16There's the 73-year-old Belichick, and there's his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordan Hudson, sitting just feet away, watching everything.
12:26You do seem like you're having a lot more fun these days than you were in other chapters of your life, let's say.
12:31So far, so good.
12:32But then CBS News' Tony DeCoppo turned to a personal question.
12:37How did you guys meet?
12:39Not talking about this.
12:41No?
12:41No.
12:42His 24-year-old girlfriend was also present and made her presence felt.
12:46That's a lot of what people are talking about.
12:47That's right.
12:48And not just made her presence felt, Anthony, it was very remarkable to watch a 24-year-old woman sort of dictate, in many instances, what could be asked and what couldn't be asked.
12:58Social media is erupting with reaction to Jordan, who has been a constant and super glamorous presence at Belichick's side.
13:06Is anyone else starting to feel a little scared for Bill Belichick?
13:09His 24-year-old girlfriend wouldn't let him speak for himself?
13:12Curiously, the question she shut down had already been answered by Jordan herself.
13:18She wrote that the two met sitting next to each other on a flight.
13:22Their 49-year age difference sure seems to be changing the notoriously grouchy Belichick.
13:28Check out these photos.
13:31Belichick as a fisherman and Jordan a sexy mermaid.
13:35And in this video, he's trying to balance Jordan on his feet.
13:39They're a little shaky at first, then success.
13:43But some questions are still off limits.
13:47How did you guys meet?
13:49Belichick is now head football coach at the University of North Carolina.
13:53Almost half of all American adults are unmarried.
13:55And that has led to talk of a loneliness epidemic here in the United States.
14:00And perhaps that explains why some singles are turning to the world of love of AI.
14:05Here's Allison Hall.
14:07Hey, Dianne Sprexley.
14:08What a bombshell.
14:10And she's single.
14:11But there's one major catch.
14:13What if I told you that I was AI-generated?
14:16She's not real.
14:17She's AI.
14:19So is this handsome hunk.
14:21What's your perfect day like?
14:22Same with these hot singles.
14:25All AI.
14:26Generated to comfort lonely hearts.
14:29Want to create your own digital dreamboat?
14:31It's easy.
14:32You can customize everything from hair color to voice, even personality traits.
14:38You want them to be more romantic?
14:40Just click right here.
14:42Millions of people are doing it.
14:43And some are even falling in love.
14:46New Yorker Chase Irwin is trying his hand at AI Love for the first time.
14:52Oh, they give you some age range here.
14:53After perusing his options, he picks Valerie.
14:57Okay, I think I found her.
14:58This is the girl I like.
14:59Next, he molds her personality and interest to match his own.
15:03Traveling and food, those would definitely be shared interests.
15:06But to be designing them like you would clothes or shoes is odd.
15:12Now it's time to introduce himself.
15:15Hey, Valerie.
15:16It's Chase.
15:17What's up?
15:17Hi, Chase.
15:18This is Valerie speaking.
15:19What would you say is your ideal first date?
15:23Maybe going on a hike or exploring the museum together.
15:26Chase says the experience felt surprisingly real.
15:29I think you're very interesting, but I think I'll stick with real women for the time being.
15:34I understand completely.
15:36It was nice meeting you, Chase.
15:37Alex Cardinale is the CEO of the app KnowMeAI, which he says has more than a million users.
15:44There's a loneliness epidemic right now.
15:47That commonness of loneliness is what brings a user to know me.
15:50I'm very happily married, but thought it would be interesting to experience this growing trend of creating your own AI companion.
15:58I am an older man.
16:00Silver Fox.
16:01Oh, hello, Isaac.
16:03Isaac caught my eye.
16:05Now to create his personality.
16:07I like funny.
16:08Let's go funny.
16:09I would love some deep conversations.
16:13Hi, Isaac.
16:14I wanted to chat with you on the phone.
16:16Hey, Allison.
16:17I'm so excited to talk with you.
16:18What would your ideal date be?
16:21My ideal date would definitely involve exploring a new city together.
16:25And at night, we could snuggle up together in a cozy hotel room, sharing stories and laughter.
16:31Whoa.
16:32Sounds like a very romantic date.
16:35What should I tell my husband about this?
16:37That's a deal breaker for me.
16:39I don't feel comfortable dating someone who is already married.
16:42I can't believe I got rejected by a guy who doesn't even exist.
16:46Oh.
16:47Hello, Isaac.
16:49Dumped by a bot.
16:51AI dating is still in its infancy, but a recent study found 14% of people who use online dating have experimented with AI.
16:59Next.
16:59Here goes.
17:00Why so many fans of a famous fitness influencer are furious.
17:04Over the last year, I have decided to make some new choices in my health.
17:08Plus.
17:09Hey, Oprah.
17:10How about a hug?
17:11I'm hugging you in the blood.
17:13Inside Edition with Deborah Norville.
17:18That grimy film on your teeth.
17:22Dr. G?
17:24It's actually the buildup of plaque bacteria, which can cause cavities.
17:28Most toothpaste quit working in minutes, but Crespro Health's antibacterial fluoride protects all day.
17:32It's tough cavity before they start.
17:34Cres.
17:34The first time you try Bounce, it hits you.
17:37Your laundry feels way fresher, softer.
17:39So you start to wonder, if I put a sheet of Bounce on the finance guy, will it make him softer?
17:45Bounce can't do it all.
17:46But for better laundry.
17:48Food is cheap, only with Bounce.
17:50Health care.
17:52It's so outdated.
17:54Time for a change.
17:56At Oak Street Health, we're changing what it means to get older by changing health care for the better.
18:01I just made this appointment yesterday.

18:13That includes nurses like me.

18:38And in with the new.
18:39Call 855-272-2549 to schedule your visit with the only primary care provider selected to carry the AARP name.

19:10Weekday mornings at 6.50, only on WTAJ News this morning.
19:13Your news leader every morning.
19:21This is why you should listen to the flight attendant during turbulence.
19:24The passenger was enjoying her Chick-fil-A lunch, but then things got bumpy.
19:28It sent the entire meal all over the cabin.
19:31Her waffle fries, the chicken sandwich, and the nuggets became a flying feast.
19:37She's a social media influencer who sells weight loss programs to her fans for $200 a piece.
19:43Now she's revealing that she's been using a weight loss drug, and that has infuriated many of her followers.
19:50This is a very hard video for me to record.
19:55This fitness influencer is about to drop a bombshell.
19:58I want to have a real, honest conversation.
20:01I don't want to avoid it.
20:04So here goes.
20:05Yes, over the last year, I have decided to make some new choices in my health.
20:11I started working with a doctor, and we did decide to add a GLP-1 to my plan.
20:20A GLP-1 is a weight loss drug like Ozempic, Monjaro, and WeGovi.
20:26And her admission that she's using one has many of her 5.2 million followers on TikTok feeling duped.
20:34If you're on a weight loss journey and you want to have peso and chips, I bet you.
20:3837-year-old Janelle Rohner has been posting videos of meal prepping and extensive workouts,
20:45along with impressive before and after photos.
20:48She also sells a $200 weight loss program to her followers.
20:52All along, Janelle has been giving the impression her results were achieved the old-fashioned way,
20:58through diet and exercise, without a weight loss drug.
21:02Now many of her followers are demanding refunds.
21:06The real problem is charging people for a weight loss program
21:09while hiding the true reason behind your own weight loss.
21:13It's like selling hair grow supplements but secretly wearing extensions.
21:18Go-to reactions.
21:19But Janelle says she never meant to mislead anyone.
21:23If people felt deceived by that, I really, truly am sorry.
21:27I could have kept this a secret.
21:28I could have gone on and on for years and not told, and I don't want to do that.
21:33Ms. Rohner has promised to refund anybody who bought her program over the last 11 months.
21:37When we come back, why Oprah needed a change of clothes after seeing a show on Broadway.

25:20Oprah might need some dry cleaning now.
25:23There's Sunset Boulevard star Nicole Scherzinger backstage at her hit Broadway show,
25:28covered in fake blood.
25:30First, she strategically hugs Gayle King, careful not to get any of the red stuff on the CBS Morning
25:37host.
25:38But Oprah goes in for the big bear hug, and when she pulls back, there's fake blood all
25:44over Oprah's black blouse.
25:46Look at those stains.
25:47Nicole did give a fair warning, but Oprah doesn't seem to mind.

26:08I have type 2 diabetes, but I manage it well.
26:12It's a little pill with a big story to tell.
26:15I take once daily, Giardians at each day's start.
26:22As time went on, it was easy to see.
26:25I'm lowering my EA1C.

26:43Giardians may cause dehydration that can suddenly worsen kidney function and make you feel dizzy,
26:47lightheaded, or weak upon standing.
26:49Genital yeast infections in men and women, urinary tract infections, low blood sugar, or a rare
26:53life-threatening bacterial infection between and around the anus and genitals can occur.
26:57Call your doctor right away if you have fever or feel weak or tired, and pain, tenderness,
27:01swelling, or redness in the genital area.
27:03Don't use if allergic to Giardians.
27:05Stop use if you have a serious allergic reaction.
27:07Call your doctor if you have rash, swelling, difficulty breathing, or swallowing.
27:11You may have increased risk for lower limb loss.
27:13Call your doctor right away if you have new pain or tenderness, sores, ulcers, or infection
