Camelon. Lock 16 bridge, Lock Sixteen road is closed for eight weeks, from March 28 for Forth and Clyde Canal work on Lock 16 gates and canal structure. Work has started on the bridge, while drivers are still trying to cross the bridge despite the many road closures signs. The temporary traffic lights are to allow safe access to Portdownie only, with some drivers thinking it is a diversion to cross the canal. That is only possible by continuing down Glenfuir Road to cross the canal towards the Rosebank roundabout. The road closure is all part of the Scottish Canals' improvement to the locks between Portdownie and Rosebank.
