00:00My son has been to China and I was always rather jealous of him.
00:05The tea is great. I love the tea. It's very refreshing.
00:30It's just over a number of years now. We've had a friendship agreement in place with the Huangshan region.
00:54So it's been my absolute pleasure to welcome the delegates here today so that we can also show them our beautiful destination.
01:03And I think the friendship is working so well because we've got so many things that resonate.
01:10The Peak District National Park has beautiful landscapes, beautiful outdoors.
01:18We're a destination for people to come walking and cycling and get close to nature.
01:24And my experience of Huangshan was very similar to that.
01:28You know, the yellow mountain area was breathtakingly beautiful.
01:34But there's also that cultural relationship as well. I was lucky enough to visit the Hui Opera in Huangshan.
01:44And so we'd love to do more around the theatre.
01:49Well, it's fantastic that we in Derbyshire and the Peak District have teamed up with you from Hangshan.
01:58And we've all had some delicious tea that on a hot afternoon that we've had outside in the Derbyshire countryside has been really, really refreshing.
02:07In this busy world that we live in, you need some rest and relaxation. You certainly need some of that tea as well.
02:14I think the tea certainly in Buxton and certainly here at the Crescent is a fantastic bridge because you have the most fantastic tea.
02:33We have the most fantastic water. So it is a match made in a tea cup for a British phrase.
02:40So I think there are very, there are lots of different things that can culturally bridge, but we have a mutual love for tea.
02:48And I think the opportunity to embrace that and enhance that and find the small things in life that we can all engage and enjoy together goes a lot further than any politics or anything else that may come in.
03:03So I think sitting down for a cup of tea socially in a beautiful environment, in a beautiful place like the Crescent can only do great things for us all.
