00:08:11something being hit to the right side into the outfield is that the base runner at second has a very good read
00:08:18and can determine whether or not he can score on that base hit
00:08:22comes up empty on the swing going to now surely trying to stay in on the hands not let him get
00:08:28extended because that's where the potential for damage exists
00:08:32oh and two now got him and there's one down
00:08:42well big power guy right there and generating so much bat speed it's hard to bring that to a halt
00:08:50once you committed a try to check the swing just couldn't do it

00:13:37understand the familiarity and relationship players and coaches have with umpires i mean
00:13:41you see these guys a lot yeah boog these guys are all out there trying to do their best
00:13:46and perform at a high level so when you respect that i think over time you can develop a relationship
00:13:53with some of these guys that one ripped that's back

00:14:26a breaking ball on the inside part of the play requires a hitter to stay really square with his
00:14:31mechanics if you fly open with the front shoulder there's no way you keep that ball fair an outstanding

00:14:43another solid power season the first base in there first strike one but you just got to delete it

00:29:52you want to do is serve up a pitch that a guy hits over the fence and it's a multi-run

00:41:03well there's a reason why he's at the bottom of the order struggling as of late but
00:41:07a knock here would be a huge lift for him and for his team

00:51:54how difficult is that to do

00:52:01they have the ability to look out there
00:52:03but also to be able to turn on the inside pitch
00:52:06those that can really sharpen things on the outer half
00:52:09those are the ones that become elite
