00:00The Hare and the Crocodile's Ride
00:06Long ago, when animals still held councils and rivers whispered secrets, there lived a hare named Agbako.
00:15He was small but sharp, so clever that he could talk his way out of a lion's jaw and into a king's feast.
00:24On the other side of the wide, roaring river lived the juiciest yams in the land.
00:31But to get there, one had to cross crocodile-infested waters.
00:37Agbako had no canoe, no wings, and certainly no permission.
00:43Yet he had something better, a plan.
00:47One morning, he approached the river bank and called out,
00:52Brother Crocodile, come quickly, I bring urgent news.
00:58A massive crocodile surfaced.
01:01What news could a hare possibly bring me?
01:04There's going to be a great naming ceremony for the king of crocodiles.
01:10The forest animals must attend.
01:13I'm here to count how many crocodiles will make the journey.
01:18Flattered and intrigued, the crocodile nodded.
01:22Let me call my brothers.
01:25Soon, the river was lined with crocodiles, head to tail.
01:30Agbako hopped across their backs, counting loudly.
01:35One, two, three.
01:38When he reached the last crocodile, on the other side of the river,
01:43he leaped onto dry land and shouted,
01:46Twenty-eight.
01:48And not one drop of water on my fur.
01:51The crocodiles growled in fury.
01:54You tricked us.
01:56But Agbako just laughed.
01:59Wit always swims faster than teeth.
02:02The next week, he tried the same trick again.
02:06But the crocodiles were ready.
02:09As he reached the middle of the river, the last crocodile dove, causing a ripple.
02:16Agbako lost his balance and tumbled into the water.
02:21He barely escaped with his ears.
02:24Soaked and shivering, he limped home.
02:28That day, the clever hare learned that while wit can win you freedom,
02:33repeating your tricks can win you trouble.
02:37Moral lesson, intelligence can save you once.
02:41But pride and overconfidence will lead to your downfall.
02:46Even the clever must stay humble.
02:49What is it?
02:50Work to the left?
