00:00But I would definitely say Wales has got, in my opinion, better beaches than England.
00:06I think we top it.
00:07Well, what a magnificent day here in the centre of Cardiff.
00:10Of course, when the sun comes up, the people come out,
00:13and you can see behind me that people are taking in every single minute of sunshine that we've got.
00:17When we've got this beautiful weather, it's hard not to think about the summer ahead of us
00:21and things that we're going to do when July and August come along.
00:24So I'm heading to the centre of town to ask people for their recommendations
00:27of places to visit and holiday all across Wales.
00:31We've got some of the best beaches anywhere in the UK,
00:34some of the best mountain-walking hotspots, attractions,
00:37and even our cities are an amazing place to come and see, especially in the sun.
00:40So where do people in Cardiff recommend for a perfect Welsh holiday?
00:44Well, I'm from Pembrokeshire, so I would obviously rate Pembrokeshire 10 out of 10.
00:48Recommend to anyone.
00:50Lovely beaches.
00:52I don't know Wales that well.
00:54I'm from near Birmingham way.
00:55But, yeah, I've been to Pembrokeshire and that was really nice.
00:58Yeah, we've got some nice places to go down there.
01:00It's busy in the city.
01:01Yeah, Bowery's lovely.
01:03Where else?
01:04We've been to Cardiff Bay a lot.
01:06Yeah, the bay's lovely.
01:08Yeah, I know a few people from Tembe who quite enjoy it there.
01:11So, yeah, I like to go and visit them one day.
01:14Tembe's quite nice.
01:15I like Tembe.
01:16The beach is really nice and colourful.
01:19Yeah, Tembe is pretty lovely, to be fair.
01:22I actually recommend Bowery Island.
01:25It's a good place.
01:26You can go to the beach, have fun with your friends.
01:28And there's gaming places you could play and you could have fun with them.
01:32Yeah.
01:33Yeah, I mean, like, when people think of Wales, it's either the beaches or the castles.
01:38It's more than just beaches.
01:39We've got incredible mountains and countryside all across Wales, which people say is one of
01:44the biggest draws for people visiting our beautiful country.
01:46Outside of beaches, yeah, castles, a lot of the mountain areas are nice.
01:51If you do like hiking, climbing, there's a lot of nice places to go.
01:55I can't get any off the top of my head.
01:57But I know there's a lot of nice places to go.
01:59So, I would definitely recommend, if you like to go for hiking stuff, Pembrokeshire, I think
02:06that is definitely a really nice place to go for hiking.
02:08I did that once with my family.
02:09And it's just something to go out and, I guess, if you like the nature, then I would
02:13definitely say maybe more towards the north.
02:16I feel like it's not explored enough in Wales, especially.
02:18Everyone likes the south.
02:19Have this, yeah.
02:20Actually, you could go to Swansea.
02:22There's one of the best beaches.
02:24You could go and have fun there, swim, play, you could like meet people, have fun with
02:31them.
02:32Everybody here is actually friendly.
02:34So, that's a good point for them.
02:36Yeah, no, absolutely.
02:37I think there is, well, a lot of my like flatmates and coursemates are from different places in
02:41Wales and it's all quite different, different scenes and stuff, which is quite nice.
02:47Yeah.
02:48They want actually to come back here because like it's a good place and we could have fun here.
02:52Yeah, everybody is friendly and I like quiet and the person is leaner.
02:56That's a good point for them.
02:58Yeah.
