00:00What's going on ladies and gentlemen, this is the K2R2 or the K2 Retro Second, and I never
00:05want to hear the words The Homebrew Channel ever again.
00:08No, I'm serious.
00:10I never, ever want to hear the words The Homebrew Channel ever again.
00:17I don't want to talk about it.
00:19I do not want to hear about it.
00:21I do not want to speak about it, and I do not even want to acknowledge it after this
00:27video.
00:27And you all are about to find out and see exactly why.
00:33You all are about to find out exactly why today.
00:37So, how did this all start?
00:40Well, you're all going to find out how this all started.
00:44You're all going to find out how this all started.
00:47And after this video, I don't even want to talk about it or hear about it ever again.
00:54Because this is completely disgusting, illegal, and straight up plagiarism after what I have
01:04heard today.
01:05So, how did this all start, you may ask?
01:08Well, you're about to find out right here, right now.
01:11So, a user by the name of Oatmeal Dome took to Twitter this morning and wrote,
01:18The Homebrew Channel has ceased development.
01:21A developer alleges that key figures in the Wii Homebrew community stole code from Nintendo
01:26and other projects.
01:28The Wii Homebrew community was all built on top of a pile of lies and copyright infringement.
01:35Yeah, let's look at that again.
01:38Let's look at that again.
01:39Copyright infringement and a pile of lies.
01:43Wow.
01:45Wow.
01:45Just unbelievable.
01:49Just freaking unbelievable.
01:51And the second part of this tweet also says,
01:53LibOc is the core of all Homebrew apps.
01:56It provides all the code necessary to interact with the GameCube and Wii hardware.
02:01It is alleged that LibOc contains copied code from the official Nintendo SDK.
02:08And the open source project RTEMS.
02:11What?
02:13Excuse me?
02:14So, all this time, it was taken from stolen code?
02:20So, they literally stole the code, copied it, and put it into their software.
02:27Wow.
02:28That is straight up illegal.
02:31That is straight up freaking illegal.
02:34And it's obvious that the Nintendo fans are defending it.
02:40They're actually defending this.
02:42Like, you're going to see them go on social media and say,
02:46Oh, rest in peace, the Homebrew channel.
02:48You are awesome, this and that.
02:50Well, guess what?
02:51This video is my funeral for the Homebrew channel.
02:55And this is exactly what the Homebrew channel will forever be remembered for now that I've heard this.
03:01So, the Homebrew channel gets no rest in peace and gets no respect from me after what happened today.
03:10After what I officially heard.
03:13And after looking into this situation, it is completely obvious that the obvious allegations are probably true.
03:20Like, no shot of a doubt right there.
03:25No shot of a doubt right there.
03:27And it's obvious, again, the Nintendo community is going to defend this.
03:31They're going to defend these actions like they always do.
03:35Because they did this with Slippy.
03:38They did this with Dolphin Steam.
03:40And now they're doing this with the freaking Homebrew channel.
03:43It's very obvious that these Nintendo fans defend illegal actions.
03:51They even defended the Switch 2 leaking.
03:55They even defended reporting the Switch 2 leaking.
03:59And they even enabled it.
04:01So, what does that tell you about the Nintendo community?
04:05They claim that they are against illegal acts.
04:08That's what they claim.
04:10They claim they are against piracy.
04:12They claim they are against illegal acts.
04:16But they do it.
04:18Which shows how much of a bunch of hypocritical people they really are.
04:23And it shows.
04:24It really, really shows.
04:27Really disgusting.
04:29That is extremely disgusting.
04:32Just wow.
04:34It just really makes you think, doesn't it?
04:36It really does.
04:38I am overall angry and disgusted.
04:40And I think you all should be too.
04:43The fact that this pops up.
04:48Right?
04:50And you have the Nintendo fans going on their little social medias.
04:54Going on their discords.
04:56Going on their Twitters.
04:57And going on all these other websites.
04:59Saying, oh, rest in peace Homebrew channel.
05:02You are awesome.
05:03Man, you developers were so awesome.
05:05Oh, really?
05:08Oh, really?
05:09Not after what I heard.
05:11Not after what I heard today.
05:14And I'm surprised not many people are making a video on this.
05:18Which they should.
05:19And I anticipate people making a video about this.
05:23I really hope people start making a video about this.
05:26Because this is completely insane.
05:29That you have Nintendo fans literally defending this.
05:32Honestly, these Nintendo community people have no discipline whatsoever.
05:39It really shows.
05:41So, after this tweet.
05:44Right?
05:44The tweet also includes a screenshot.
05:47That literally states the entire situation.
05:51And spoiler alert.
05:52No one did anything about the problem.
05:56That's right.
05:58No one did anything about the problem.
06:01Of the code being copied and stolen.
06:04No one did nothing about it.
06:07And you're about to see it right here in this screenshot.
06:12This archived post right here.
06:14And I'm going to read this entire thing.
06:16It says here.
06:17This repository is archived and will not accept any future contributions.
06:21Oh, I wonder why.
06:24Says here.
06:25Like most Wii homebrew software.
06:28This software depends on LibOp.
06:30After development of the homebrew channel has already started.
06:34We discovered that large portions of this were stolen directly.
06:38Stolen directly from the Nintendo SDK or games using it.
06:44Decompiled and cleaned up.
06:46We thought that at least significant parts of LibOp.
06:49Such as its threading implementation.
06:51Were original.
06:53And reluctantly continued to use the project.
06:55While distancing ourselves from it.
06:57Well, you didn't do a good job, did you?
06:59None of y'all did a really good job at that one, did you?
07:04And here's what is highlighted in blue right here.
07:07It has recently been revealed.
07:09That the threading OS implementation in LibOp.
07:13Is in fact stolen from our temps.
07:16The authors of LibOp didn't just steal proprietary Nintendo code, but also saw it fit to steal an open source RTOS and remove all attribution and copyright information.
07:30This goes far beyond ignorance about the copyright implications of reverse engineering Nintendo binaries and goes straight into outright deliberate malicious code theft and copyright infringement.
07:43And then here comes the part right here.
07:47Here comes the third paragraph.
07:50Says here, the current developers of LibOp are not interested in tracking this issue.
07:56Finding a solution nor informing the community of the problematic copyright status of the project.
08:02When we filed an issue about it, they immediately closed it, replied with verbal abuse, and then completely deleted it from public view.
08:13So, they knew about this, but didn't tell anybody.
08:18They knew about this, but they didn't track the issue.
08:21They knew about this, but they did not find a solution.
08:26Wow.
08:26So, you people knew about this, but you literally did nothing about it.
08:34You just proceeded on.
08:37You just proceeded and continue on with your illegal act.
08:42Un-frickin'-believable.
08:44And this is something that these Nintendo fans always do every single frickin' time when you call them out on what they do.
08:52They get all hissy and defensive, and they do absolutely nothing about the situation.
09:00And then they defend it.
09:02Then they want to go around defending this like nothing happened, and move on their merry way.
09:08Right?
09:09Right.
09:09That's what they do.
09:11And they've been doing this for years.
09:14Keep in mind, they've been doing this for years.
09:16And it also says here,
09:20For this reason, we consider it impossible to legally and legitimately compile this software at this point
09:27and cannot encourage any further development.
09:30Facts times three.
09:33That is facts right there.
09:35And if any of you got a problem with the facts and the truth,
09:39then, well, you have a problem yourself and need to seek help.
09:44Honestly.
09:46It says also here,
09:48The Wee Homebrew community was all built on top of a pile of lies and copyright infringement.
09:53And it's all thanks to Shakur, who did the stealing.
09:58That's right.
09:59There's your target of the day, everybody.
10:01It's, drumroll please,
10:05Shakur.
10:07You did it.
10:09You and the rest of your posse,
10:12who enabled it and did nothing when it was discovered,
10:15you did it.
10:17You deceived everyone.
10:20You deceived everyone.
10:22You stole the code.
10:24You stole and copied the code.
10:28And I am surprised Nintendo never took you to court.
10:32I'm surprised.
10:33I am very surprised.
10:35And I bet everybody who is watching this video right now are probably just as surprised as I am.
10:41Unbelievable.
10:43That is very unbelievable.
10:44Just, wow.
10:48I can't believe this.
10:50I really can't believe this.
10:51And this is the same thing that happened with the Dolphin Steam situation.
10:56This is the same thing that happened to the whole Dolphin on Steam thing.
11:03Where literally, Dolphin used Wii Common Keys.
11:08Which, guess what everyone?
11:10Those Wii Common Keys are copyrighted by Nintendo.
11:14Alright?
11:14But they didn't care because they used it anyway.
11:20It just shows how little the Nintendo community even cares about the frickin' law.
11:27It really shows.
11:29Just, wow.
11:31Unbelievable.
11:32That is sick and twisted.
11:34And I frickin' do not like it.
11:37Honestly, I think the Nintendo community's attitude sucks.
11:41And I despise it.
11:42Your attitude sucks.
11:44And you need to get some help and change your attitude.
11:48Because this is unacceptable.
11:51This is unacceptable and unjustifiable.
11:54I will never justify and reward this behavior.
11:59I'm gonna call this out and judge this for what this is.
12:03This is frickin' illegal and none of you should be doing it.
12:07But that's not good enough, right?
12:08Because apparently you Nintendo fans don't want to listen and you just want to keep it going anyway.
12:13You just want to keep doing this stuff anyway.
12:15Thinking it's all fun and games for you.
12:19So when Nintendo takes you guys to court, don't complain.
12:23Don't complain when they take you to court for it.
12:26But yet, these are the same people that say, oh, boycott Nintendo all because they're taking down stuff that they're doing.
12:34Just so hypocritical with these guys.
12:39They're very hypocritical and toxic.
12:41It's not even funny.
12:42It really is not.
12:43So, it says here, please demand that the leaders and major contributors to console and other proprietary device SDKs and toolkits that you use and work with do things legally and do not tolerate this kind of behavior.
13:01Well, how can you do it legally?
13:04How can you do it legally?
13:07Tell me exactly how you can do this legally.
13:09I want to know.
13:11You have five seconds.
13:13Really?
13:14Nothing?
13:15Okay.
13:15All right.
13:16Again, they're just going to find excuses.
13:20That's all these Nintendo fans are going to do.
13:22They're just going to find excuses to literally defend this behavior and they're going to find excuses to do it anyway.
13:30Because that's all they're good at doing, apparently.
13:32It's sad.
13:34It's freaking sad.
13:36It's a really sad society we live in.
13:39It really is.
13:40It's a horrible society we live in.
13:41So, it says here, if you wish to check for yourself, for example, you can compare this function in LibOck to this function in a really old version of RTEMS.
13:52While this code has been simplified and many identifiers renamed, it is clear that the LibOck version is a direct descendant of the RTEMS version.
14:01It is not possible for two code implementations to end up this similar purely by chance.
14:08This is really mind-blown to you guys, huh?
14:14This is really a mind-blown right there in a very negative way.
14:20Just, wow.
14:21This is really sad.
14:23This is a really horrible society we live in where people want to justify and they want to pay respects to this behavior.
14:32Just, wow.
14:34This is just unacceptable.
14:36This is very demonic.
14:37This is unacceptable.
14:39This is disgusting.
14:41And I don't like it.
14:42I don't like it.
14:43I think the Nintendo community's attitude really sucks.
14:47And they need to seek help.
14:49Like, now.
14:51Now's the time.
14:53Seek help, please.
14:54Seek a therapist.
14:56Like, come on.
14:58Life is too short for this stuff.
15:00Do you guys really want to end up in prison or in jail for this?
15:05That's what I thought.
15:06Seek help.
15:07But unfortunately, it seems like you guys are not going to do that.
15:12And you just want to put yourselves in such a stagnant environment like that and do all these illegal things.
15:18It's just not right.
15:20It's just not right.
15:21That's not right.
15:23It really is not.
15:27Like, I can't believe that I'm literally hearing this now.
15:32You know, I used to do homebrew myself.
15:35You know, I used to have a lot of fun with homebrew apps or whatever.
15:38But after hearing this, I now look at the Wii homebrew scene a lot differently now after hearing this.
15:47So, yeah, unfortunately for you and the entire Wii homebrew scene, you people in that scene right now, I look at you a lot differently now.
15:59It's just really upsetting.
16:05It really is very upsetting to hear this.
16:07It's very distressing too.
16:09This is exactly why I never, ever want to hear the words Wii homebrew scene ever again.
16:18I never want to hear the words the homebrew channel ever again either.
16:22And I'm going to stick by that and I'm going to stand by it.
16:27And if you people in the Nintendo community don't like it, too bad for you.
16:33I really encourage all of you to please, to please come to Christ.
16:39Like, I'm begging you guys, just come to Christ.
16:43Because Jesus, he is the way, he is the truth, he is the life.
16:48And I think you all need to repent to Jesus for the illegal acts that you have done, which is a sin, by the way.
16:58Those illegal acts you as a community did are a sin and you need to repent to Christ.
17:06Come and repent to Christ, please.
17:11Please, let's start repenting of our sins.
17:14Let's start coming to Christ.
17:16Let's start trusting him and believing him.
17:21The homebrew channel is not the way, the truth, and the life.
17:24Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
17:27Not your homebrew scene.
17:30Not your homebrew channel apps.
17:32None of that.
17:34Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
17:39And I wholeheartedly believe that Jesus died on the cross for all of my sins and your sins.
17:49Jesus died for sinners like me and you.
17:55Jesus died for all of us.
17:57And we all need to come to Christ.
18:02I really pray you guys do that.
18:05Stop with this disgusting behavior and come to Christ, please.
18:10I really hope you do.
18:11Anyway, before I go, I have today's Bible verse for you guys right here.
18:17I'm also going to put it in the description.
18:19And this is from Revelation 3.5.
18:21It says here,
18:22He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments.
18:25And I will not erase his name from the book of life.
18:27And I will confess his name before my father and his angels.
18:32Amen to that Bible verse right there.
18:34Amen to that.
18:35Amen.
18:36Amen.
18:37So, that is it for my video.
18:40That's all I have to say.
18:42Honestly, I have no respect for the Homebrew channel.
18:47I really have no respect for it after this.
18:50That's all I can say.
18:53So, really hope you guys come to Christ.
18:56I really hope that Shakur and all these people involved in this illegal act,
19:01I really hope that they come to Christ
19:04and change their ways
19:07and repent of their sins.
19:11Because
19:11what I've heard today
19:13was
19:14nasty,
19:17vile,
19:17and disgusting.
19:19And I'm never
19:20going to look at the Homebrew channel the same way
19:23ever again.
19:25And I don't think any of you should.
19:28This is the K2R2 or the K2 Retro Second
19:31signing out.
19:32May God bless all of you guys today.
19:35Come to Christ.
19:36Repent to Christ.
19:37Trust Christ.
19:37Follow Christ.
19:39And
19:40that's it.
19:42You know?
19:43Because Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
19:44So,
19:45I'll see you guys next time.
19:47And may God bless you all.
19:50So, chill guys.
19:51And
19:51peace out.
19:53Peace out.
19:53Peace out.
19:54Peace out.
19:55Peace out.
19:56Peace out.
19:57Peace out.
19:58Peace out.
19:59Peace out.
20:00Peace out.
20:01Peace out.
20:02Peace out.
