00:00Hi, my question is about the economy and with crashing in the economy and the value of the dollar, and now people say, oh, it's Bitcoin, this is kind of a move, and Trump and his family are making buildings up here, and I don't see any oversight of committees on that, or any regulation, so I'm a little concerned about that.
00:30Yes, for sure, and I have a vote that's called the chaos and reversals and everything else that Doge should actually stand for. Donald only gives excuses.
00:42I like that.
00:47Hi, my name is Kira Zinsney, I live here in Nevada, and every day I receive tons of requests for money from potential candidates who are going to be running in 2026.
00:59But they won't take office until 2027.
01:03And my fear is that it'll be too late to undo a lot of what's going on.
01:09We know our courts are out there pushing back, and I can tell by what you said that Congress is doing whatever is within their power to do.
01:21But how can we stop Donald Trump from taking over some of the responsibilities that are those of the Senate or the House?
01:31I mean, he just assumes that he can do it because he's the president.
01:36And my second point is, what else can we do?
01:40I mean, I attend rallies, I'm here today, I make phone calls, I don't know what else to do, but I know many of us out there are very frustrated, and we just want to help.
01:54So you're like so many people that I represent in the 6th Congressional District.
02:01And I want to say that I tell people we need to litigate, legislate, educate, advocate, and communicate.
02:13And I will tell you, look, here's, I don't, I don't lie to people.
02:19The fact of the matter is, we don't have the votes in the House and Senate.
02:24And to win, you've got to get the votes.
02:25But it only takes four, we took only three, now it's four, because we've had two deaths, unfortunately, on the Democratic side.
02:34It only takes four votes.
02:36So we've got to get four Republicans to vote with us.
02:40Now, let's talk about tariffs for a minute.
02:43Now, the way, look, tariffs are a tool in the toolbox.
02:48And I don't think they're inappropriate when you're competing with China, where the Communist government is subsidizing the manufacturing of the product, not paying wages, manipulating their currency, and trying to destroy our industry.
03:03But the way that the president is doing it has created total chaos, as you've talked about.
03:09The stock market is upside down.
03:13People don't know what's going to happen to the cost.
03:16They're not buying.
03:17It's like this caused chaos in every way possible.
03:21And businesses are a ping-pong ball caught in the whole middle, and they're afraid to even, we are losing freedom of speech for businesses to say anything, because they're worried about political retribution, targets being put on their backs.
03:38So the Senate has already passed a bill on Canadian, specifically Canadian tariffs.
03:47We have several bills which we will vote on when we return.
03:53One is a bill introduced by Don Bacon, a Republican, a Republican from Nebraska, that there are many of us looking at supporting.
04:03And then Meeks, who's the chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, has another bill that has, it's a, but it would take, Donald Trump is using, in his executive orders, declaring an emergency.
04:19And in declaring the emergency, he is, economic emergency, taking the power away from the Congress.
04:26We are going to take that emergency authority away from him and put it back in the Congress or in the law.
04:35And I think we're seeing more and more of that.
04:41I know that my two weeks at home have been intense.
04:46I know how people, and like I'm on, I'm where most of the people in my district are, but people are worried and it's been intense.
04:53If anybody cares about what the people in their district think, if they're accessible in any way, shape, or form, they're listening to what people are saying.
05:02There is nobody that's not going to go back to Washington and understand people don't like what they're seeing in the direction the country is going in right now.
05:11That matters.
05:12And any of you have friends in other, you know where I am, but in other districts, talk to them to make sure their electeds know how they feel.
