Anthony Edwards says he is relishing tackling LeBron James and Luka Doncic in the NBA playoffs
Transcript
00:00Coach, the temptation for Ant in this spot to go for it when Luke is going for it and LeBron is going for it.
00:07It didn't seem like he forced his game until really the fourth quarter.
00:11Yeah, I think he's grown leaps and bounds in that way, for sure.
00:14He's always ready for the moment.
00:17He was outstanding, is down the stretch, and he knows he needs his teammates.
00:22And I actually thought that there were times where we could have found each other a little bit better,
00:27but he had it going, and you could see in his eyes that he was going to make the play.
00:33He was going to bring us home.
00:35But early on, Julius was really good, and Ant was happy to play off of that.
00:42Ant, you look across the way, and it's the Lakers.
00:45LeBron's having a game.
00:46Luka's having a game.
00:47How are you able to sort of recognize the moment and not shrink from it?
00:52Because a lot of people get in these spots, stars or not,
00:54and are not able to meet those guys where they're performing at.
00:58Where do you sit on that?
01:00I don't even really look at it like a moment.
01:03I just try to take advantage of every opportunity.
01:05I mean, because, you know, I've been dreaming of this all my life,
01:10whether it was football or basketball.
01:11So just being in these situations, and now it's going against Brun and Luka.
01:17And Luka's probably the best player in the game, young player in the game,
01:19and Brun is the best player leaving the game.
01:22So just trying to, you know, prove I belong to all my haters
01:27and people who criticize me that I'm better than they think.
