00:00The International Court of Justice has begun a week of hearings into Israel's obligation

00:06to facilitate humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians in the occupied territories.

00:12They come in response to a UN resolution from the General Assembly last year,

00:17asking the court to weigh in after Israel blocked UNRWA from operating on its territory.

00:23The Palestinian ambassador to the Netherlands told the court that Israel is killing and

00:27displacing civilians and targeting aid workers in Gaza.

00:31Israel denies this and did not attend the hearing.

00:34It is another attempt to politicize and abuse the legal process in order to persecute Israel.

00:44The goal is to deprive Israel of its most basic right to defend itself.
