पहलगाम में 22 अप्रैल 2025 को हुए आतंकवादी हमले के बाद जम्मू कश्मीर विधानसभा का विशेष सत्र बुलाया गया है। सत्र की शुरुआत आतंकी हमले में जान गंवाने वालों को श्रद्धांजलि देने के साथ हुई। उप मुख्यमंत्री सुरेन्द्र कुमार ने सदन में प्रस्ताव पेश करते हुए कहा, "यह सदन 22 अप्रैल 2025 को पहलगाम में निर्दोष नागरिकों पर किए गए बर्बर और अमानवीय हमले पर गहरा सदमा और पीड़ा व्यक्त करता है।" उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे आतंकी कृत्य कश्मीरियत, संवैधानिक मूल्यों और एकता, शांति व सद्भाव की भावना पर सीधा हमला हैं। सदन ने पीड़ितों और उनके परिवारों के प्रति संवेदना व्यक्त की और शहीद सैफ अब्दुल हुसैन शाह के सर्वोच्च बलिदान को सलाम किया
