00:01Coral is one of the most incredible creatures on this planet.
00:05It's a rock, it's a plant, it's an animal, it's everything.
00:09There's little pops and little snaps and it's shrimp and it's fish eating
00:15and I didn't realize that there was music underwater.
00:19It's so beautifully alive.
00:23There's been other ecosystems that have been really threatened
00:27but I don't think there is a system which is quite so close to the edge.
00:35We see mass destruction, we see the reef dying,
00:39the reef makes me sorry.
00:41It makes me want to cry.
00:44If the reef is gone, we're gone too.
00:47If it collapses, we're in deep, deep, deep trouble.
00:50You know, humanity is in trouble.
00:52Ocean health, weather patterns, climate, food productivity,
00:56global economics.
00:57It's a ridiculous experiment to rule the dice and see what happens.
01:01It's madness.
01:02That's a madness.
01:04Now I notice how everything is changing
01:06and I think that we just really want to protect it.
01:09We're willing to do just about anything.
01:14All of a sudden, there seems to be a solution on the table.
01:17You want to build this like army of reef builders.
01:20We have people here from the Maldives, from Australia, from here in Indonesia, from Kenya.
01:38And when everybody works together, you know, many hands make light work.
01:44In my head, it's like a ticking clock, like a doomsday clock if you like.
01:49It is probably a couple of minutes to midnight, but we are not losing our reefs.
01:54Not on our watch.
