00:10Yay!
00:13Yay!
00:17Here we are, Elmo. Up you go.
00:19Oh, no, no, no, Maria.
00:21Elmo would like Maria to sit first.
00:23Oh, well, thank you.
00:25Elmo will clean it out first.
00:27There you are.
00:28That's very polite of you.
00:30Thank you, Maria.
00:31Oh, hey, guys. I didn't hear you come in.
00:34Hi, Alan.
00:35What can I get you?
00:36Elmo and Maria would like to see a menu, please.
00:40A menu, huh?
00:42This is a very special occasion. Elmo is taking me to lunch.
00:47No kidding.
00:48Oh, yeah, Alan. Elmo's mommy and daddy goes out to lunch sometimes,
00:52and Elmo wanted to go out to have lunch with his special friend, Maria.
00:56Oh, very good.
00:58All right, well, here's your menu, Elmo.
01:00Oh, okay.
01:01Okay, and what will you have, Maria?
01:03Is that fried chicken I smell?
01:05It's today's special.
01:06I'm frying some up in the kitchen as we speak.
01:08Well, then that's for me.
01:09Okay.
01:10Sounds good.
01:11Elmo?
01:12Huh?
01:13Elmo would have his usual, Alan.
01:15A super scrumptious grilled cheese sandwich,
01:17a super scrumptious pickle,
01:19and a super scrumptious glass of milk, please.
01:22You got it.
01:25What's that?
01:26It's a smoke alarm.
01:27Alan, look!
01:29Smoke!
01:30Something's on fire in the kitchen.
01:31I'll get the fire extinguisher.
01:34I'll call the fire department.
01:36Come on, Elmo.
01:37Stay low and go.
01:45Maria?
01:46Just a second, Elmo.
01:48Yes.
01:49I'd like to report a fire.
01:51My name is Maria Rodriguez.
01:52I'm calling from Sesame Street,
01:54and there's a fire in Hooper's store.
01:56Oh, somebody called it in already?
01:59I hear the sirens.
02:03Come on, Elmo.
02:08Elmo?
02:09Is anybody else inside?
02:24No, no.
02:25It was just me and my two friends.
02:26They're the ones that called you.
02:28Here they are.
02:30Are you folks okay?
02:32Yes, we're fine.
02:34All right.
02:35All right.
02:36Please stand back, everybody.
02:37Alan, what happened?
02:38It was the grease in the fryer.
02:40It caught fire.
02:41I think I put it out with the fire extinguisher,
02:44but I'm not sure.
02:45Fire in Hooper's store?
02:48Wow.
02:50Scary.
03:03You were lucky.
03:04Nothing caught fire except the grease.
03:06Great.
03:07Oh, great.
03:08That's a relief.
03:09Yeah.
03:10Hey, and listen.
03:11I'm sorry.
03:12It looks like we bothered you for nothing.
03:14Huh.
03:15You didn't bother us at all.
03:16This is our job.
03:17And you did the right thing.
03:18Anytime you think there's a fire, don't wait.
03:20Call the fire department right away.
03:22We'll do that.
03:23Thanks.
03:26And anytime you think there's a fire or smoke,
03:29you tell a grown-up, okay?
03:32Okay.
03:33Is it safe to go back in?
03:36Just as soon as we get our equipment cleared.
03:38All right.
03:39Thank you so much.
03:40Appreciate it.
03:41Well, Elmo, I guess our special lunch turned out to be more special than we thought.
03:45I think all three of us could use a special lunch.
03:48How about it?
03:49Sounds good to me.
03:50Come on, Elmo.
03:51One super scrumptious grilled cheese sandwich coming up.
03:55Uh-huh.
04:00Elmo?
04:02Are you all right?
04:05Elmo doesn't want to go back into Hooper's store.
04:08Oh, hey, hey, hey, hey.
04:09It's okay.
04:10It's okay.
04:11There's nothing to be afraid of.
04:13The chief said that the fire's out.
04:15Elmo doesn't care, Alan.
04:16Elmo, Elmo doesn't want to go back into Hooper's store ever again.
04:23Elmo.
04:26A fire can be a pretty scary thing.
04:30I guess a firefighter could be a pretty scary thing, too.
04:33Hi, my name's Bill.
04:34Hey, I'm Alan.
04:35Hi, Alan.
04:36Hi, I'm Maria.
04:37And who's this little guy?
04:38This is Elmo.
04:40Hello, Elmo.
04:43Hello.
04:44I'm sorry I scared you with all this stuff I'm wearing.
04:46Yeah, it's quite an outfit.
04:48And I need every piece of it when I'm fighting a fire.
04:51Would you like to know what each piece does?
04:54Okay.
04:55Right.
04:56Well, we use a lot of water when we're fighting a fire.
04:58So I wear this coat and these pants to keep me dry
05:02and to keep my body from getting burned.
05:04These boots do the same thing for my feet.
05:07This helmet protects my head in case something heavy falls on it.
05:11And this mask?
05:13Well, sometimes in a fire there's lots of smoke.
05:17There was a lot of smoke at Hooper's store, remember?
05:20Yeah.
05:21And if I breathe in too much smoke, it can make me sick.
05:24So I carry my own air in this tank.
05:27And if I need it, I breathe it in through this mask.
05:31How do I look?
05:33Okay.
05:34So here's something I want you to remember, Elmo.
05:37If you're ever in a fire, go to the firefighters.
05:40They may look a little scary, but they're there to help you and take care of you, okay?
05:45Okay.
05:47Feeling better?
05:49Elmo's okay.
05:51Hey, you know, I just had a great idea.
05:53How would you like to come to the firehouse for a visit
05:57and see what a real firehouse looks like?
05:59Wow!
06:00Oh, that would be terrific, wouldn't it, Elmo?
06:03Well, what's a firehouse?
06:05Is it a house that's on fire?
06:07No, it's a place where firefighters like me wait until it's time to go put out a fire.
06:12What do you say?
06:13Well, could Maria come too?
06:16Absolutely.
06:18Um...
06:19Okay, Mr. Bill.
06:20That's great.
06:21Okay, that's terrific.
06:22We'll just go a little later, right?
06:24Uh-huh.
06:25Okay.
06:26I'm gonna clean up.
06:27Uh-huh.
06:28Uh-huh.
06:29Uh-huh.
06:30Uh-huh.
06:31Uh-huh.
06:32Uh-huh.
06:33Uh-huh.
06:34Uh-huh.
06:35Uh-huh.
06:36Uh-huh.
06:37Uh-huh.
06:38Uh-huh.
06:39Well, here we are, Elmo, at the firehouse.
06:42Are you ready for your special visit?
06:44Will Maria stay with Elmo the whole time Elmo's here?
06:48Absolutely.
06:49Uh-huh.
06:50Okay.
06:51And Elmo's ready.
06:54Hi.
06:55Can I help you?
06:56Yes, my name's Maria and this is Elmo.
06:58Oh, you're Bill's friend.
06:59Uh-huh.
07:00She's expecting you.
07:01Hey, Bill!
07:03Hi, guys.
07:04Thanks, Chef.
07:05Hi, Bill.
07:06Hi, Maria.
07:07Hi, Elmo.
07:08Hey, Mr. Bill.
07:09I'm really glad you decided to come and visit.
07:11Oh, Elmo's glad too, he thinks.
07:13You ready to take a look around?
07:14Sure.
07:15Okay, I'll show you the different parts of the firehouse.
07:17We'll start with the places where we wait.
07:19Wait for what, Mr. Bill?
07:20Wait for a fire, remember?
07:22That's our job, Elmo, to help people like you when you need to have a fire put out.
07:26Oh.
07:27Okay, come on.
07:28Let's go.
07:29Oh, okay.
07:30See?
07:31We have a place where we exercise.
07:33Oh.
07:34Elmo exercises.
07:35See Elmo's muscle?
07:36Oh, yeah.
07:37Good job.
07:38Look over here.
07:39Look, Elmo.
07:40In here, we have a place where we eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
07:41Oh.
07:42Elmo helps set the table sometimes at his house.
07:43That's good.
07:44And in there, we have a place where we cook.
07:45Oh.
07:46Something smells good.
07:47Yeah.
07:48It looks a little bit like Elmo's kitchen, Maria.
07:49Oh.
07:50Gee.
07:51Some of the places in Mr. Bill's firehouse are not like the places in Elmo's house.
07:53Oh.
07:54Oh.
07:55Oh.
07:56Oh.
07:57Oh.
07:58Oh.
07:59Oh.
08:00Oh.
08:01Oh.
08:02Oh.
08:03Oh.
08:04Oh.
08:05Oh.
08:06Oh.
08:07Oh.
08:08Oh.
08:09Oh.
08:10Oh.
08:11Look, Maria.
08:12There's a pole in Mr. Bill's firehouse.
08:13Yeah.
08:14Sort of like the pole you slide down at the playground, Elmo.
08:15No.
08:16Yep.
08:17And when the bell rings and we have to go put out a fire, this is the fastest way to get
08:34downstairs.
08:35Oh.
08:36You want to try it?
08:37Maria has to come too.
08:38Sure.
08:39Let's go.
08:40Oh.
08:41Okay.
08:42Here goes.
08:43That's cool, Mr. Bill.
08:44Okay, Elmo.
08:45Ready when you are.
08:46Whee!
08:47Oh.
08:48Now it's your turn, Maria.
08:49Uh, if you don't mind, I think I'll take the stairs.
08:50Okay.
08:51Um, what does Elmo get to do next, Mr. Bill?
08:52Come on, Elmo.
08:53I'll show you.
08:54Oh, good.
08:55Oh, good.
08:56Look familiar, Elmo?
08:57Oh, Elmo remembers that track where Mr. Bill came to Sesame Street.
09:00It's called a pumper, Elmo.
09:01Would you like to sit in it?
09:02Well, sit in a fire truck like a fire fighter?
09:03Sure, come on.
09:04Yeah.
09:05Oh, good.
09:11Look familiar, Elmo?
09:12Oh.
09:13Elmo remembers that truck when Mr. Bill came to Sesame Street.
09:17It's called a pumper, Elmo.
09:19Would you like to sit in it?
09:21Sit in a fire truck like a firefighter?
09:24Sure.
09:25Come on.
09:26Yeah.
09:27That's great, Elmo.
09:31We have lots of different kinds of trucks, Elmo.
09:34We use this pumper to pump water at a fire.
09:37Then we squirt the water at the fire with this hose.
09:41Oh.
09:42Well, Elmo was playing with his friend Teddy in a waiting pool once,
09:45and Teddy squirted Elmo with a garden hose.
09:48Same idea.
09:49More water, bigger hoses.
09:51Well, Elmo squirted Teddy back.
09:53Yeah.
09:54Oh, you know what, Mr. Bill?
09:56What?
09:57Elmo thinks it would be great to be a firefighter.
10:00Well, then try this on.
10:04Oh.
10:06Wow, Elmo.
10:07Yeah.
10:08Pretty cool, huh?
10:09Yeah.
10:10Ooh.
10:11Would Mr. Bill like to know a secret?
10:14What?
10:15Well, Elmo was scared before, but Elmo isn't scared anymore.
10:20You were in a fire before, Elmo.
10:22That's a scary thing.
10:23It is, Mr. Bill.
10:24But as long as you know what to do, to call a grown-up if you see smoke or fire,
10:29to get out of a building where there is a fire, and stay out until a grown-up tells you to go back in.
10:34Yeah.
10:35Well, then there's a lot less to be scared of, okay?
10:38Okay.
10:39Ciao time!
10:40Come on, let's eat.
10:41Okay.
10:42Whoa!
10:43Whoa!
10:44Do you need a little help with that helmet, Elmo?
10:49Elmo thinks Mr. Bill's helmet might be a little heavy.
10:54Do you want me to take it off?
10:55No, no.
10:56No, it's okay.
10:57It's okay.
10:58It's really nice of you to do this.
11:00No, it's our pleasure.
11:02Thanks, Mookie.
11:04There you go, Elmo.
11:05A grilled cheese sandwich, a pickle, and a glass of milk.
11:10Oh, look, Maria.
11:12It's the super scrumptious lunch that Elmo didn't get to have at Hooper's store.
11:17Oh, you're so lucky.
11:18Yeah.
11:19Oh, thank you, Mr. Bill.
11:20You're welcome, Elmo.
11:21Thank you, firefighters.
11:23Yeah.
11:24Yay for the firefighters.
11:26Come on, everyone.
11:27Let's eat.
11:28I want to try some of that.
11:34Well, it sounds like the trip to the firehouse was a big success.
11:37Oh, the firefighters were really great.
11:39They could tell that Elmo was still really upset about the fire,
11:42and they knew exactly what to do to make them feel better.
11:45To make them feel a whole lot better, I'd say.
11:48Ring up the perfect firefighters.
11:51Ha, ha, ha, ha.
11:52We need to squirt, grow water on the fire.
11:54Vroom, vroom.
11:55Vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom.
11:56Squirt, squirt, squirt, squirt, squirt, squirt, squirt, squirt.
11:59Ha, ha, ha.
12:00Hooray for the firefighters.
12:02Yay!
12:03Ha, ha, ha.
12:04Vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom.
12:09I think to become a firefighter, you have to be brave, be pure hearted, and care about
12:20other people.
12:21When I grow up, I want to be a girl firefighter.
12:25Ah, ding, ding, ding.
12:28Fire dogs are really excellent, and they're so great because they are so excellent.
12:35I like firefighters because they save people.
12:43Thank you, firefighters.
12:44Thank you, firefighters.
12:45Thank you, firefighters.
12:47Thank you, firefighters.
12:49I love you.
12:50Hi.
12:51This is Elmo's friend Susan, and guess what?
12:55She's a firefighter.
12:56Hi.
12:57Oh, Susan is going to show us what to do if there's a fire.
13:01Elmo was just in the Uber store when there was a fire.
13:04Yes, you were, Elmo.
13:05And what did you do?
13:06Oh, well, Elmo had to get low and go like this.
13:11Just like that.
13:13That's right, Elmo.
13:14That's what you do if there's a fire.
13:16You get low and go and stay outside until a firefighter tells you it's safe to go back
13:21inside.
13:22Yeah.
13:23Get low and go and get outside and stay outside, like this.
13:28Elmo?
13:29Is it safe to come back?
13:31It's safe.
13:32Oh, good.
13:33Thank you, Susan.
13:35You're welcome, Elmo.
13:42If there's a fire in your house or any place you've just been, get out, stay out, don't
13:47you go back in.
13:48Don't you go back in.
13:50If there's a fire anywhere, there's danger there.
13:53Get out, stay out, don't you go back in.
13:56Don't you go back in.
13:57And once you get outside, that is where you should stay.
14:00Till a grown up says that it's okay.
14:03It's okay.
14:04There's no two ways about it.
14:06So let me hear you shout it.
14:08Get out, stay out, don't you go back in.
14:11Get out, stay out, don't you go back in.
14:14If you left your teddy bear on your favorite chair, get out, stay out, don't you go back in.
14:19Don't you go back in.
14:21And if you lost one shoe or your toy kangaroo, get out, stay out, don't you go back in.
14:28Don't you go back in.
14:29And if you left your truck or your favorite doll or your rubber duck or your basketball.
14:34There's no two ways about it.
14:37So let me hear you shout it.
14:39Get out, stay out, don't you go back in.
14:42Get out, stay out, don't you go back in.
14:45Hey, I'm talking serious here now.
14:47Hi there everybody.
14:58Hey, I bet you're wondering, what is Ernie hiding behind his back?
15:03Well, I'll give you a clue.
15:05It's small and yellow.
15:08No, no, I said small and yellow.
15:12Nope, it's not a banana.
15:14Here's another clue.
15:16It's small and yellow and you squeeze it.
15:21Nope, it's not a lemon.
15:23But that's a good guess.
15:25It's small, it's cute, it's yellow, and it puts out fires.
15:30That's right folks, it's Fire Chief Rubber Ducky, the brave and daring firefighter.
15:35Oh, Fire Chief Rubber Ducky, you are a credit to your community.
15:40I guess you get your water from the tubby, huh?
15:46Let's draw a firefighter and I'll need your help.
15:55What does a firefighter wear?
15:57He wears a suit.
15:59No, not his work suit.
16:02He wears a fire suit.
16:05Yeah, that's it.
16:08They wear a uniform.
16:09To protect them from the heat.
16:11He wears a hat on his head too.
16:14Not a hat with feathers, not a pirate hat.
16:17That's silly.
16:18Yeah!
16:19What else does a firefighter need?
16:23Water!
16:24No!
16:25No!
16:26A hose!
16:27A hose!
16:28Water from a hose!
16:30And what does a firefighter fight?
16:33A dragon?
16:34No!
16:35Not a dragon.
16:36They fight fires.
16:38Fire!
16:39Like that?
16:48Yeah, like that!
16:51Thanks!
16:52For the drink.
16:53Oh, I'm just doing my job.
16:56Hooray!
16:57Hooray!
17:08My dad's a real firefighter.
17:12My dad's a super daddy.
17:14Now, what do you think of that?
17:16He plays with me and my brother.
17:18He gave me a fireman's hat.
17:20He gave me a little fire truck with ladders, lights and tires.
17:24Just like the one my daddy rides when he goes to put out fires.
17:28And someday I'd be glad.
17:30So very, very glad.
17:32If I could be a firefighter just like my super dad.
17:36His fire truck is shiny red.
17:38He wears his special boots.
17:40The fire fighters all get dressed in fire fighting suits.
17:44And when a fire bell goes off, let's go!
17:47They always shout.
17:48They jump onto the fire truck and put that fire out.
17:52And someday I'd be glad.
17:54So very, very glad.
17:56If I could be a fire fighter just like my super dad.
18:00He's cool!
18:02Ya know .
18:03It's here!
18:04It's right!
18:12It's this when I think I was so sweet.
18:15It sounds like he hasaren's hat.
18:16It's too fast.
18:20Sounds like fun.
18:22The kons of students are looking for SAND events...
18:26It looks good!
18:27They don't notice tomorrow.
18:28That looks good.
18:29You can also see me.
18:30That's Elmo's World!
18:37Oh, hi. Welcome to Elmo's World.
18:41Oh, Elmo's so happy to see you.
18:43Oh, and so is Dorothy.
18:45Say hello, Dorothy.
18:47Oh, guess what Elmo's thinking about today?
18:50Whoa.
18:55Okay, coming through. Let's go, Sally.
19:00Oh, let's go.
19:01Uh-huh.
19:02Deep back 200 feet.
19:04Woo-hoo! Yeah!
19:06Firefighters, you know. Firefighters!
19:10Yay!
19:12Yay!
19:14Yay!
19:25Wow, that's cold, Dorothy.
19:48Oh, oh, Dorothy's been thinking about firefighters,
19:52Dorothy? Dorothy's been thinking about firefighters, too. Look.
19:57Oh, yeah? Oh, okay, okay, okay.
20:00Dorothy says firefighters put out fires,
20:03but she wants to know what do firefighters wear
20:07to keep safe when they put out fires?
20:09Oh, that's a very good question, Dorothy.
20:12Oh, maybe we should ask Mr. Noodle.
20:14Mr. Noodle!
20:16Shea sounds just like a fire engine.
20:23Very good, Shea. Now go up, please.
20:26Thank you, Shea.
20:29Oh, look! It's Mr. Noodle's sister, Miss Noodle.
20:33Hi, Miss Noodle. Hi.
20:35Oh, Miss Noodle.
20:38Wow, Miss Noodle is really good at spinning.
20:41Boy, but she sure needs to work on stopping.
20:45Oh, Miss Noodle! Miss Noodle!
20:48Are you there?
20:49Oh!
20:50There you are! Hi, Miss Noodle.
20:53Boy, what do firefighters wear to keep safe
20:56when they put out fires?
20:58Oh, she knows.
21:00Oh, Miss Noodle!
21:02Oh, that's not right.
21:04Hey, that's a football uniform.
21:06That's for football, not for fighting fires.
21:09Yeah, that's what football players wear, Miss Noodle.
21:11You can't fight a fire in that.
21:13That's what football players wear to keep safe.
21:16And it really works.
21:19Try again, Miss Noodle!
21:22What do firefighters wear to keep safe?
21:25No!
21:26That's a suit of armor.
21:27You can't fight a fire in that.
21:28That's what knights wear to keep safe.
21:30What do firefighters wear?
21:32No, they don't wear armor.
21:33No!
21:34Try again, Miss Noodle!
21:35Try again, Miss Noodle!
21:36You can do it!
21:37Try again!
21:38Whoa!
21:39Careful, Miss Noodle!
21:40Yay!
21:41Yeah, that's right.
21:42That's a firefighter's uniform.
21:43Miss Noodle is pretending to put out a fire.
21:44What's wrong, Miss Noodle?
21:45But there's no water coming out.
21:46No water?
21:47No water?
21:48No water.
21:49Oh.
21:50Where's the water?
22:03Oh!
22:04Uh-oh.
22:05Where's the water?
22:07Uh-oh!
22:10Where's the water?
22:12Boy, those noodles are very good at getting wet.
22:17Yeah, Dorothy?
22:19Oh, okay, okay.
22:20Dorothy wants to ask someone else.
22:23What do firefighters wear to keep safe when they put out fires?
22:31Dorothy, see these gloves?
22:33Firefighters wear them so their hands don't get burnt.
22:38Hey, Dorothy, see this coat?
22:41This coat protects firefighters from getting wet or getting burnt.
22:44Yeah, it does feel kind of heavy.
22:46It's about five pounds.
22:48Hi, Dorothy.
22:50Firefighters wear these boots when they put out fires
22:53to keep their feet from getting wet or burnt.
23:00Thank you, everybody.
23:02Oh, and thanks, Dorothy.
23:04Now, Elmo will ask our baby.
23:07Oh, hello, baby.
23:10Baby, what do firefighters wear to keep safe when they put out fires?
23:18Oh, yeah!
23:19A helmet to keep their heads from getting hurt.
23:22Getting hurt.
23:23Oh, thank you, baby.
23:24Mwah!

24:42Elmo got e-mail from his friend, Oscar!
24:46Hey, Elmo!
24:48Since I don't help whenever I can,
24:50this e-mail is not about firefighters.
24:53It's about the toast I'm making.
24:59It's gonna be just the way I like it.

27:26Elmo's friend, Sabrina, knows the fire can burn you!
27:30Elmo's friend, Sabrina, knows that fire can burn you.
27:34That's why she practices what to do in case there's a fire in her house.
27:38And Sabrina told Elmo all about it.
27:41Oh, you want to watch too dry?
27:43Yeah. Okay.
27:44Go ahead, Sabrina.
27:47Lots of times my mom, dad, and I have a fire drill.
27:52That's when we practice getting out of our apartment.
27:57The way we would in a real fire.
28:03My mom makes sure I know where we can meet.
28:08First, I get low and go.
28:11You're supposed to do that.
28:13Because if there's a fire, there's smoke.
28:16And you have to get below the smoke.
28:20I meet my mom where we said we'd meet.
28:23I'm happy to see her.
28:26My mom touches the door to make sure it's not hot.
28:30And there is no fire outside the door.
28:33I know the safe ways out of my apartment.
28:38My dad is practicing using the fire escape.
28:44We know where to meet him outside.
28:48My mom and I go down the hallway and walk down the stairs.
28:54We still have to stay low.
28:58Then we go outside.
29:08When we get outside, we meet my dad at the corner.
29:13That's our safe place to meet.
29:16In a real fire, we would stay out.
29:20Until the firefighters tell us when to go back inside.
29:25But this isn't a real fire.
29:28So we can go back inside now.
29:31I'm glad we have fire drills.
29:36Now I know what to do in case of a real fire.
29:41And I feel a lot safer.
29:44Before that, we've very encountered builds of the fire.
29:53Let's get high health surgery at Santa Cruz.
29:57What to do?
29:59How do I have a low?
30:01I think Sabrina.
30:02That gives Elmo an idea.
30:04Elmo is going to practice how to get low and go.
30:08Okay, okay, that was great.
30:10But now, Elmo wants to learn more about firefighters.
30:13Don't you?
30:15How can we find out more?
30:17Oh, Jack, the TV is practicing how to get along.
30:21Oh, it does.
30:22Wait, wait, wait, come back, come back, TV.
30:25Elmo wants to see the Firefighter Channel.
30:29Good, now turn yourself on.
30:33The Firefighter's Channel.
30:34All firefighters, all the time.
30:37A channel that's really hot.
30:39Today, Mike, the Firefighting Dog.
30:43Roof!
30:44One day, Mike, the Firefighting Dog,
30:48was eating his dinner in his firehouse,
30:50when all of a sudden, the fire alarm sounded.
30:54Roof!
30:55That meant there was a fire to fight.
30:58Mike slid down the fire poles,
31:01and in a jiffy, put on his special firefighting clothes
31:04to protect him from the fire.
31:07And his helmet to keep his head from getting hurt.
31:11Roof!
31:13And then, he rushed to the fire.
31:21When he got to the fire,
31:22he heard barking coming from inside the house.
31:25Roof! Roof! Roof!
31:26So Mike put on his air tank and mask to keep from breathing and smoke,
31:31and went into the burning house.
31:37He pulled a young pup from the flames,
31:39and then put out the fire.
31:41The fire...
31:43Roof!
31:45Roof!
31:47It was all in a day's work for Mike,
31:49the Firefighting Dog.
31:51The End.
31:53Roof!
31:55Or is it?
31:58Look, Mikey's dreaming again.
32:00Dreaming about chasing cats, Mikey?
32:03Time to go fight a fire.
32:06Watch the fire house for us, Mikey.
32:08Watch the fire house for us, Mikey.
32:14Now it's the end.
32:16Coming up next on the Firefighter's Channel,
32:18The Flaming of the Shrew,
32:20starring Carol Burnett.
32:22Oh, thanks, T.V.
32:25But wait, wait, wait, T.V.
32:26Elmo wants to know more.
32:28Oh, no.
32:30T.V. is still practicing.
32:32Oh, but Elmo still wants to know more about Firefighters.
32:36How can we find out more?
32:38Who could that be?
32:41Come in.
32:42Want to talk to a Firefighter?
32:45Oh, boy!
32:46Elmo can talk to his friend, Firefighter Richard.
32:49Yay!
32:50Don't forget us!
32:52Oh, yeah!
32:53Elmo can talk to everybody.
32:56So what do you want to know, Elmo?
32:58Well, Elmo thinks fires are scary.
33:00They are scary.
33:01Oh, yeah, very scary.
33:04Well, is it scary being a Firefighter?
33:06Sure.
33:07Oh, yeah, sure, very scary.
33:10But I take care of myself, so it's okay.
33:12I wear these special clothes that help keep me safe.
33:15Oh, yeah, special clothes.
33:17Elmo knows all about the boots and the coat and the helmet.
33:21And I'm part of a team of Firefighters.
33:23We work together and help keep each other safe.
33:26Oh, a team.
33:27Oh, like a soccer team?
33:29Yeah, sort of.
33:30Oh, yeah, we're a team.
33:32We're buddies.
33:33Hi, buddy!
33:35Hi!
33:35Oh, no, look!
33:37Dorothy's imagining Elmo as a Firefighter.
33:39Oh, yeah, a Firefighter!
33:41Yeah!
33:42Elmo is ready to fight off fire.
33:45Firefighters don't only fight fires.
33:47Really?
33:48We also help animals.
33:50Meow.
33:51Oh, a kitty needs help.
33:54Firefighter Elmo is on the way.
33:56Meow.
34:02Hello, kitty.
34:03Meow.
34:04Here, kitty, kitty, kitty.
34:05Meow.
34:06You're safe now, kitty.
34:11Take a stand, Justin.
34:14Whee!
34:14Firefighters help people who get hurt, too.
34:16Firefighter Elmo, yeah?
34:18Much better.
34:20Thanks, Firefighter Elmo.
34:22Just doing Firefighter Elmo's job.
34:29Firefighter Richard must really like being a Firefighter.
34:32I wouldn't want to do anything else.
34:34Oh, yeah.
34:35Nothing else.
34:36Well, I better get going.
34:37It's time for me to go home and cook dinner for my kids.
34:40Firefighter Richard is a daddy, too?
34:43Wow.
34:44Firefighters are amazing.
34:46Oh, yeah.
34:47Amazing.
34:49I'll see you later.
34:50Bye-bye, buddy.
34:51Bye, Firefighter Richard.
34:53Thanks.
34:54Elmo really loves Firefighters.
34:56So does Dorothy.
34:58That's why Dorothy wants us to sing the Firefighter song.
35:02Yay!
35:03Yay!
35:04Yay!
35:06Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do

35:43Ba-ba-ba-ba.
35:46That's Elmo's World.
35:50Do-do-do-do-do-do.
35:53We love you, Firefighters.
36:06He's a hero, he's a guy.
36:19He's a hero, he's a guy.
36:23You know who he is.
36:25He's da-da-da-da.
36:27He's a hero, he's a guy.
36:31Oh, hello, dear.
36:34Hey, look what I drew.
36:36Yep, there he is, my great buddy, Hero Guy.
36:40And look, a wee little kitten up in a tree.
36:47Hey, Hero Guy, what's doing?
36:49What's doing?
36:51You drew a picture of a kitten up in a tree.
36:54Yeah, so?
36:56So, now it wants to come down from the tree and doesn't know how.
37:01Well, so help her down.
37:03But you drew it.
37:04You're the artist.
37:06But you're the superhero.
37:08Good point.
37:09So let me get back into the picture and solve this problem with the kitty.
37:15As well you should, Mr. Superhero Guy.
37:18Oh, the poor little kitty does want to come down.
37:29That's right.
37:30And I, Hero Guy, just thought of a super way to solve this problem.
37:36I will fly to the top of the tree and carry the kitty down myself.
37:41Watch.
37:45Come on, come on, kitty.
37:48Cute little kitty, kitty, kitty.
37:50Meow, meow, meow, meow.
37:52Hmm.
37:54She doesn't seem to want to go with me.
37:56What's the matter?
37:57I don't know.
37:58I guess she's not used to seeing people, you know, like, fly around tweez.
38:04I think flying around like that scares her.
38:07Oh.
38:08But, uh, but I'm a hero.
38:10I'm supposed to save her, not scare her.
38:13That's true.
38:14I will not give up.
38:16I will find a super way to get this kitty out of the tree right now.
38:22I know.
38:23I will turn myself into a trampoline.
38:28Watch this.
38:33Ta-da.
38:35Good work, Hero Guy.
38:38Okay, kitty.
38:39Okay, now come on.
38:40Come on, jump onto the trampoline.
38:43It's very bouncy.
38:44Yeah, and you'll be able to bounce on it, and then you'll come down.
38:50Meow.
38:56I, uh, I think she bounced a little too howd.
39:01Meow.
39:02Meow.
39:02Meow.
39:04As a hero guy, I have failed.
39:07Meow.
39:08I tried to get the kitty out of the tree, but I, I, I couldn't do it.
39:13No, no, no, no, come on, hero guy.
39:17I drew you, so I know you can do it.
39:20You know, you, you can't always solve a problem right away, you know?
39:24Sometimes it, sometimes it takes time, you know, to, to find the right, the right strategy, you know?
39:29The right steps, yeah, to, to solve the problem.
39:32Steps?
39:33Steps?
39:34That's it!
39:36He, he, he, he, he, he, he, he.
39:41Ta-da!
39:42Brilliant thinking, hero guy.
39:45I knew you could do it.
39:47Come on, little kitten.
39:48Come on, walk down those heroic steps.
39:52You did it!
40:00Give me paw!
40:03Oh, he, he, he, he, he.
40:06And so, ends another brave, yet true adventure with hero guy.
40:16What a hero, what a guy.
