00:00:00All right, all right, all right. How's everyone doing? Hope you're all doing well. I am playing some NFL Head Coach 09. So yeah, a thousand points left. I don't think I have enough to actually, uh...
00:00:30Gain any, so let's check out the special skills. Shoot. Just continue.
00:00:46All right, let's start in the preseason, actually. The default roster.
00:01:00So this is basically similar to Madden. It's made by EA. It's made by EA Sports specifically.
00:01:10Uh, so instead of, you know, in Madden you can control the players and the play calling, but here you just don't call the players.
00:01:19So it's basically franchise mode in Madden without the ability to control players. So yeah.
00:01:29Okay, so sorry for showing the offensive team names and logos. Uh...
00:01:47Okay, free agent bidding. Now that we know how to do that...
00:01:57Cut any... Oh, okay. I guess we don't need to...
00:02:01Oh, it's the glossary that I was looking at. So let's just go ahead and sim to the regular season.
00:02:13No... No wonder why I couldn't actually, uh...
00:02:17Make any decisions. I was just looking at the glossary.
00:02:23Get some drinks for me. I got some...
00:02:29Purified water with me.
00:02:40Got some...
00:02:41Mixed berry, uh, flavored water from Kroger, actually.
00:02:46As well.
00:02:47Really, I had Coach of the Norling Saints, by the way.
00:02:54And, uh, some mixed...
00:02:56Oh, it's actually great flavored, uh...
00:03:01Power 8-0.
00:03:04So yeah.
00:03:05So yeah.
00:03:15Yeah.
00:03:23Yeah.
00:03:27Yeah.
00:03:28Yeah.
00:03:45So...
00:03:50I don't know what to talk about.
00:03:54It's Friday, uh...
00:03:56April 25th, 2025.
00:04:07Now this game takes place in 2008.
00:04:10Which I believe was either the season of or the season before New Orleans won the Super Bowl.
00:04:22It was around the time the Saints won the Super Bowl, around this season.
00:04:26So like sometime between 2008 and 2010 is when New Orleans won.
00:04:30I can't remember which year.
00:04:34Because I think at the end of the 2010 season, uh...
00:04:39New England, uh, lost to the New York Giants.
00:04:442009 may have been the Super Bowl that, uh...
00:04:492009 season may have been Indianapolis versus the New Orleans.
00:04:54I remember that Super Bowl.
00:04:55The Super Bowl.
00:05:04Excuse me for yawning.
00:05:05Sorry about that.
00:05:09So yeah.
00:05:10I always get the seasons confused.
00:05:11Like, you know, 2008...
00:05:13I think it was the year Pittsburgh beat Arizona.
00:05:16Well, 2008...
00:05:18At the end of the 2008 season was the year Pittsburgh beat Arizona in the Super Bowl.
00:05:222009, I think.
00:05:23The 2009 NFL season.
00:05:26But I know that when I say 2009, the Super Bowl usually happens in early February of next year.
00:05:32So like, the 2009 NFL season, the Super Bowl took place in February 2010.
00:05:37So...
00:05:39Not actually, uh...
00:05:41You know what I mean.
00:05:42So...
00:05:43This may have been the season that, uh, Kurt Warner led the Arizona Cardinals to their only Super Bowl appearance.
00:05:55I may make a couple of trades and make some roster changes before we play our first game.
00:06:16So I'm taking off my sock here.
00:06:18Let's trade away.
00:06:19Don't need three quarterbacks.
00:06:20So we can trade Tyler Palco.
00:06:21Let's trade away.
00:06:22Let's trade away.
00:06:23Don't need three quarterbacks.
00:06:24So we can trade Tyler Palco.
00:06:27Let's trade away, don't need three quarterbacks, so we can trade Tyler Palco.
00:06:53I was going to actually make some roster changes, let's sign Kenan McArdle.
00:07:20Anyone else I want to sign?
00:07:35Let's cut, actually, Tyler Palco.
00:07:42Let's cut, actually, Tyler Palco.
00:07:49And Devery Henderson we can cut, as well.
00:08:04Let's see, career stats for Robert Meacham.
00:08:24He must be a rookie.
00:08:26No, no, we're actually going to release him.
00:08:29I thought he was a rookie, but...
00:08:31Let's actually release Kenan McArdle.
00:08:39I know we just signed him, but, you know, I don't want...
00:08:43I want to have people who have, like, caught at least one pass as a receiver every year, so...
00:08:51Not including the rookies, you know, because they obviously are playing their first season, so one, two, three, four...
00:09:05So he's a rookie, so we're not going to...
00:09:13I don't really need three tight ends.
00:09:19Let's see, oh, he went to Yale, that's cool.
00:09:35I will be making some roster changes, though.
00:09:42So I do know I need to sign another quarterback.
00:09:47Drew Brees gets injured, you know.
00:09:55That's it.
00:09:57Drew Brees, the former Heisman winning tro...
00:10:01Running back from...
00:10:03Wide receiver from...
00:10:05Why did I say wide receiver?
00:10:06Former Heisman winning trophy...
00:10:09Former Heisman trophy winner running back from...
00:10:21USC, so...
00:10:25T.C. Ostrander's a rookie.
00:10:30We'll sign him.
00:10:32We'll sign him.
00:10:53We'll sign Adrian Arrington.
00:10:55We'll sign Adrian Arrington.
00:11:02And Mike Peterson out of Northwest Missouri State.
00:11:14The schedule...
00:11:15Sorry for showing any offensive team names and...
00:11:18Logos, by the way.
00:11:21Now we can simulate to our next game.
00:11:30Now we can simulate to our next game.
00:11:34third year of Надо struggling.
00:11:35No, no, no, no.
00:11:50How do we actually...
00:11:51Play?
00:11:53How do we work in the Uh...
00:11:55Okay.
00:12:25What's next?
00:12:42Because I want to play a game though.
00:12:50Here we go.
00:13:03Let's play this game.
00:13:07Week one is about to kick off.
00:13:14The Buccaneers show says this is a division game we're going to kick off though.
00:13:41No no no shit shit shit.
00:13:54Can't call a timeout.
00:13:58That was the wrong play.
00:14:01That's my fault.
00:14:04That is definitely my fault.
00:14:07So.
00:14:08I'm a big idiot for that.
00:14:11So let's do biformation.
00:14:12Let's do a dime.
00:14:14And then cover three.
00:14:17Oh shoot.
00:14:22I didn't mean to choose the onside kick.
00:14:25That was just a dumb decision.
00:14:32Ready call.
00:14:34Let's do a dime.
00:14:36How about free safety blitz.
00:14:49How about linebackers shift left.
00:15:02No I do not want a timeout.
00:15:12Let's just stick with the ass coach actually.
00:15:15So.
00:15:16Two man under.
00:15:31So that's good.
00:15:32That's good.
00:15:34Three yard pick up.
00:15:35It could have been worse though.
00:16:01So for those of you that watch the NFL.
00:16:02Who do you think will win the Super Bowl this coming season.
00:16:06Now the draft.
00:16:08Round one of the drafts started yesterday.
00:16:11Cam Ward went number one overall.
00:16:14Out of the University of Miami to the Tennessee Titans.
00:16:22And.
00:16:23I know Travis Hunter went number two overall to Jacksonville.
00:16:29He's a two way player.
00:16:32Should be interesting if you'll play both sides of the ball in the NFL.
00:16:36Unfortunately that was a catch.
00:16:42No it's.
00:16:43Well.
00:16:44Oh yeah.
00:16:45It was ruled a catch actually.
00:16:46So I saw incompletion to Joe Galloway.
00:16:48So.
00:16:49Through Sam Blitz.
00:16:51So.
00:16:52Uh.
00:16:53Should be interesting to see how the rest of the draft pans out.
00:16:57Cause I know Shadrish Sanders was not drafting number one overall.
00:17:00Was not drafting number one.
00:17:01He wasn't even drafting the first round surprisingly.
00:17:03Cause I know many experts had him go to the.
00:17:08I saw the Steelers.
00:17:10I saw the Saints.
00:17:13Um.
00:17:14Uh.
00:17:15And the Browns actually.
00:17:16Uh.
00:17:17Did I see the Browns?
00:17:18I know for sure some people.
00:17:19So.
00:17:20Uh.
00:17:21Uh.
00:17:22Uh.
00:17:23I definitely know the Steelers and the.
00:17:24Uh.
00:17:25Saints were expected to.
00:17:26Uh.
00:17:27Uh.
00:17:28Uh.
00:17:29I definitely know the Steelers and the.
00:17:31Uh.
00:17:32Saints were expected to.
00:17:33Draft him.
00:17:34Cause I saw some people.
00:17:35Uh.
00:17:36I know it changes over time.
00:17:37But.
00:17:38You know.
00:17:39It should be interesting to see.
00:17:40If he goes today in the second or third round.
00:17:42Uh.
00:17:43Uh.
00:17:44Draft him.
00:17:45Cause I saw some people.
00:17:46Uh.
00:17:47I know it changes over time.
00:17:48But.
00:17:49You know.
00:17:50It should be interesting to see.
00:17:51If he goes today in the second or third round.
00:17:52The sack essentially.
00:17:56To defensive end contain.
00:17:57It's gonna be a kick.
00:17:58But.
00:17:59You know.
00:18:00Don't really.
00:18:01Want to take the risk.
00:18:02Play Cole.
00:18:03Why did I choose onside or kick recover?
00:18:04Go out of bounds.
00:18:05Let it go out of bounds.
00:18:06Let it go out of bounds.
00:18:07Okay.
00:18:08Good.
00:18:09Single back.
00:18:10And then.
00:18:11Three Jets got double.
00:18:12And.
00:18:13I don't really.
00:18:14Want to take the risk.
00:18:15Play Cole.
00:18:16Why did I choose onside or kick recover?
00:18:19Go out of bounds.
00:18:20Let it go out of bounds.
00:18:21Okay.
00:18:22Good.
00:18:23So.
00:18:24Single back.
00:18:25And then.
00:18:26Three Jets got double.
00:18:28And.
00:18:29I don't know.
00:18:30I don't know.
00:18:31I don't know.
00:18:32I don't know.
00:18:33I don't know.
00:18:34I don't know.
00:18:35I don't know.
00:18:36I don't know.
00:18:37That's a scat double.
00:18:45I know.
00:18:46We can't control the quarterbacks.
00:18:47So.
00:18:48Or any of the players actually.
00:18:50It's the only.
00:18:53Downside.
00:18:54Let's do single back again.
00:18:56And let's do.
00:18:59Play action.
00:19:00Thirty eight.
00:19:01Stretch.
00:19:02X.
00:19:03Z.
00:19:04Whatever it's called.
00:19:06I'm a Saints fan, but if I were to see an NFL game again, and I want to go see the Saints
00:19:19play in New Orleans, I would, you know, I've been to AT&T Stadium to see the Cowboys play,
00:19:34and I've been to NRG Stadium to see the Texans play, so it is second and four to gun formation
00:19:46and 82 Hank Z option, so.
00:19:51It would be nice to see my favorite team play in their whole stadium, in a home stadium.
00:20:0622 Hank Z option.
00:20:21All right, there we go.
00:20:28233 Bob, that's a run play.
00:20:40Packled for a loss, unfortunately, so.
00:20:4738 stretch, so we're going to run the other way, actually.
00:20:56Just under five minutes left in the quarter.
00:21:01A little good original block by number 12.
00:21:08Can I call the play now?
00:21:18Let's keep him out.
00:21:20So, play, call.
00:21:22And Hank Z option.
00:21:29Right now, uh, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach has the advantage, but we're playing
00:21:37better overall.
00:21:42Go 32 base, and let's run it.
00:21:54Reggie pushes in.
00:21:59Unfortunately, we got an injury.
00:22:03Left guard, Jamar Nesbitt, unfortunately, is going to be out.
00:22:08Go line, and 11 dive.
00:22:18No, I don't want to flip the play.
00:22:23I do not want to flip the play.
00:22:26There we go.
00:22:33Kearney got a touchdown for us.
00:22:46We're going to go special teams.
00:22:49It's, uh, field goal kick.
00:23:06Now we can have Deuce McAllister come back in.
00:23:09Kick off rights.
00:23:10This time, I finally didn't choose anything related to an on-side kick.
00:23:15Thankfully.
00:23:18The first kickoff came back to bite us in the butt.
00:23:21Because we gave up three points.
00:23:23But that was my fault, because I chose the wrong play.
00:23:30Clipping...
00:23:31Jeff Garcia?
00:23:32Why do they have their quarterback on, uh...
00:23:39Kick off.
00:23:40That makes no sense.
00:23:43Still a man...
00:23:44Let's do a zone blitz, actually.
00:23:46And let's do a gaps fire.
00:23:51Gonna have...
00:23:52Some of my water now.
00:23:57There we go.
00:23:58We got a zone blitz under the way.
00:24:00Huh.
00:24:11Holding.
00:24:12You decline.
00:24:13Gonna decline, because yes, they have fewer... fewer yards to... get, but they also have fewer downs to... get as well.
00:24:17Maybe we should have accepted the penalty, so...
00:24:18Uh...
00:24:19I trusted my defense, so...
00:24:20I trusted my defense, so...
00:24:22Let's do a man zone, so...
00:24:23Let's do a man zone, and let's do...
00:24:24Double tight end bracket.
00:24:25Double tight end bracket.
00:24:26Double tight end bracket.
00:24:27Let's do a man zone, and let's do...
00:24:29Double tight end bracket.
00:24:30Let's have the defensive line shift right.
00:24:33Let's do a man zone, and let's do...
00:24:35Double tight end bracket.
00:24:37Let's have the defensive line shift right.
00:24:38Maybe we should have accepted the penalty, so...
00:24:39Maybe we should have accepted the penalty, so...
00:24:43I trusted my defense, so...
00:24:44Let's do... a man zone, and let's do...
00:24:51Double tight end bracket.
00:24:54Let's... have the defensive line shift right.
00:25:00Oh, he...
00:25:04juked him...
00:25:08But Scott Fujita, thankfully, was able to tackle him.
00:25:11Fujita, thankfully, was able to tackle him for a loss. Good job, Scott.
00:25:18It was Jonathan Villama, actually.
00:25:22Either way, both men did well on that play, so...
00:25:31I'm not gonna complain.
00:25:32Eh. No. In hindsight, it wasn't smart to decline the penalty, but I trust my defense in getting the job done.
00:25:45It's 3rd and 19. They're getting the job done now, actually.
00:25:48Why would he have a negative 2? I complimented him.
00:26:05Two men zone, two men under, so...
00:26:07I thought it was a compliment.
00:26:11But, you know...
00:26:18End of the first quarter, actually.
00:26:29It's 2 Storm Middle.
00:26:3615 minute quarters. I don't know why I thought it was less than that, but...
00:26:40Yes!
00:26:424th down.
00:26:44That's good. That is very good, actually.
00:26:48So, teams punt returns safe zone, in case they want to fake it.
00:26:59That was a possibility. I know...
00:27:05In the college football games, on 4th and 2, I usually go for it, so...
00:27:09It's a good punt by Josh Bidwell.
00:27:22Play cold. Let's do a standard pass, and a 72 scram option.
00:27:28I think...
00:27:29Of the four major sports leagues, the NHL, NBA, MLB, and...
00:27:42NHL, NFL, MLB, and NBA, I don't have a favorite NBA team.
00:27:51Just... I used to, actually. It used to be, like, the Magic.
00:27:55But, I know two people that got signed to the NBA.
00:28:00Uh, one is playing in Israel, right now.
00:28:03One... The other is playing in Greece, actually.
00:28:05I'm... Like, I went to class with both of them. I had a...
00:28:10Was in middle... Well, I had a class with one, but I also had a, uh...
00:28:16In middle school... I was in middle... In middle school, the other player was a...
00:28:21Year ahead of me, but I didn't meet him, and talk to him, and...
00:28:24Everyone's in a while, so...
00:28:27I no longer have an NBA team, because the teams that are supporting the NBA...
00:28:31Will vary, usually, if they get signed to the...
00:28:35NBA, like, uh...
00:28:37The one in Israel played is in Dusty Hannes. He played...
00:28:41Four games for the, uh...
00:28:44Four or eight games...
00:28:47Uh...
00:28:48Uh...
00:28:51Over two years for, uh...
00:28:54Hold on.
00:28:56Social teams were gonna punt, actually.
00:28:59He played, like, four or eight games over the course of two seasons for the Memphis Grizzlies.
00:29:05And, you know, he spent time in the G League, and, you know, in...
00:29:10Uh...
00:29:12Australia, and, uh...
00:29:14Greece, as well.
00:29:15And...
00:29:17Now he is in...
00:29:18Israel...
00:29:20Playing, so...
00:29:22And Ray John Tucker, I believe, played for...
00:29:24I know for a fact he played for the 76ers.
00:29:26I wanna say he played for the Bucks, Jazz, and Nuggets.
00:29:29I'm not entirely sure...
00:29:31About the Jazz and Nuggets.
00:29:32But I know he played...
00:29:34For the Bucks and 76ers.
00:29:37And he was a part of the, uh...
00:29:39He was a part of the, uh...
00:29:42He was a part of the Lakers...
00:29:45Or, not the Lakers.
00:29:46He was a part of the Clippers and Cavaliers roster at one point.
00:29:49But he was released...
00:29:51Or traded before the season began.
00:29:53When he was...
00:29:54He was a part of those teams during the offseason, so...
00:29:57So, the teams, I was like...
00:30:00Whenever they play...
00:30:01If they play in the NBA again, hopefully they will.
00:30:04And I'm rooting for them.
00:30:06If they do...
00:30:07I will support, you know...
00:30:09Whatever team they're playing...
00:30:11For.
00:30:12So, that's why I don't have a favorite NBA team.
00:30:14The NFL is the Saints.
00:30:16And the NHL is the Seattle Kraken.
00:30:19They're an expansion team.
00:30:21I wanted to root for an expansion team.
00:30:24And, you know, the only two expansion teams that came into existence...
00:30:27Technically three...
00:30:29Would be the Vegas Golden Knights, the Seattle Kraken.
00:30:32So, I didn't like the Vegas Golden Knights color scheme or...
00:30:36You know, why they chose their team name.
00:30:39But, you know, so I decided not for them.
00:30:42And then, the Seattle Kraken, I liked their name and team colors.
00:30:45And then...
00:30:46The Utah Hockey Club, which essentially...
00:30:49The NFL is treating like it's a new expansion team.
00:30:52Even though all of the assets came from the Arizona Coyotes.
00:31:02I do admit, I like the Utah Hockey Club's colors.
00:31:03Their jersey colors as well, so...
00:31:05And in Major League Baseball, I like the...
00:31:08Los Angeles Angels.
00:31:09I do admit, I like the Utah Hockey Club's colors.
00:31:10Their jersey colors as well, so...
00:31:11And in Major League Baseball, I like the...
00:31:12Los Angeles Angels.
00:31:13I like the Utah Hockey Club's colors.
00:31:14Their jersey colors as well, so...
00:31:15And in Major League Baseball, I like the...
00:31:19Major League Baseball, I like the...
00:31:21Uh...
00:31:22Los Angeles Angels.
00:31:26I did know, uh...
00:31:30One other person that was, like, signed to the, uh...
00:31:35I think he was signed to an NFL team in the offseason, but he was, like...
00:31:54Like, he played offensive guard.
00:31:56Met one other person.
00:31:57Like, he was a year or two ahead of me in that same school with the NFL player I went to in middle school.
00:32:04And then, uh...
00:32:07I know someone that was a part of the New England Patriots, uh...
00:32:13Training camp squad.
00:32:15Uh, who...
00:32:18Well, I know the brother...
00:32:20Not the brother, I know the sister, sorry.
00:32:23The person I know is the...
00:32:25Oh, is the brother of the...
00:32:26Of, uh...
00:32:27Person that was in my class.
00:32:29I know his sister, so...
00:32:31Who was in my year, so...
00:32:33She was in my year, he was, like, a year or two younger.
00:32:43So he was, like, uh, on the...
00:32:45He was, like, a wide receiver at Auburn, and he...
00:32:48Uh...
00:32:50Uh...
00:32:51Was, like, briefly on the New England Patriots roster, so...
00:32:55Like, a week in August of, like, 2020, so...
00:32:59I don't think...
00:33:00Unfortunately, he wasn't...
00:33:01You know, he...
00:33:03Didn't make the team.
00:33:05Uh...
00:33:06I'm...
00:33:07Uh...
00:33:08Like, neither of the two people in the NFL, uh...
00:33:12Are...
00:33:13Play...
00:33:14Are active, uh...
00:33:15Football players now, so...
00:33:18I think the other guy that was two years ahead of me was, like, uh...
00:33:22the now-defunct Alliance of American Football for the Birmingham Iron, actually.
00:33:32So, I have a younger sibling that went to school, you know, after I left that school.
00:33:42I transferred somewhere else, but he, but my younger sister knows an NFL player, Hunter Henry.
00:33:52I believe he was with the New England Patriots. He was with the Chargers now.
00:33:57So, my younger sibling knows him. Fortunately for us, Tampa scored.
00:34:13I just realized I'm doing the same formation, which means
00:34:16that, unfortunately, we are, they already would predict what plays we were going to call next
00:34:26and take advantage of that.
00:34:27I didn't know any professional baseball players that like in person. I didn't meet any.
00:34:36I met someone who played for double-a baseball, but that was briefly.
00:34:40But I don't think he made it to the major leagues.
00:34:42A left 320 scramble.
00:34:54And I met Joe Johnson, a former NBA player.
00:34:58I met Joe Johnson, a former NBA player.
00:35:08Excuse me, let's do single back and, uh,
00:35:17beautiful bob.
00:35:28Oh, fumbled it. Unfortunately, it's a fumble and, uh,
00:35:42Can we call a play, please?
00:35:43I want to call a play before the two-minute warning.
00:35:58There we go. We at least managed to pick up some yards there. Unfortunately for us,
00:36:03it was not enough to actually gain the first down.
00:36:12Why would I choose to go on? We're going to put, we're going to have to punch it.
00:36:15Fair catch.
00:36:29Do dime, and let's do all-out blitz.
00:36:39See, I'm not playing that well in this game.
00:36:50So we're so much easier to call plays when you're actually controlling the players.
00:36:54There we go.
00:37:06Double slot.
00:37:07So yeah, for those of you that watch, uh, football or any sports,
00:37:12do you know any prof- have you met any professional athletes?
00:37:15And do you, like, go to school with any before?
00:37:19Even out-looking professionals, so.
00:37:25Right, right off the back, if there's, there's someone else in that, you know,
00:37:30someone else, they could, they could have caught the pass off of the deflection,
00:37:33if there's a play behind them.
00:37:48I'm trying to block it.
00:38:01Didn't meet someone, actually I was drafted, I'm not sure, in the NFL.
00:38:06I'm not sure if we played though.
00:38:07I think I did.
00:38:09No?
00:38:10At least I was in the school I went to, and, uh, university I was on campus,
00:38:21and, you know, someone that worked there I think was drafted.
00:38:25I'm not sure, I don't remember if I met him.
00:38:26I did meet another NFL player though, Reggie Swinton.
00:38:31He was, he worked at my high school, so.
00:38:40I'm not sure, Reggie Swinton.
00:38:42Hurry up, and then gun formation, 82 Hank's the option.
00:38:51May call the timeout soon.
00:38:59Oh, looks like they already did, so.
00:39:01No, no, no.
00:39:02If the clock is still running after this play, I'll call the timeout.
00:39:11It's not, so.
00:39:16That's good.
00:39:16If we kick a field goal, it'll be a 65 yard, which would be in.
00:39:29I guess now, if it takes place in the 2025 season, it wouldn't be an NFL record.
00:39:35I think the NFL record is 66 yards.
00:39:38Either 66 or 64.
00:39:39The time this game released through, uh, the record is, I think, 63.
00:39:55I know Justin Tucker has the, uh, NFL record for, uh, longest made field goal.
00:40:16Oops.
00:40:19In NFL history.
00:40:20Unfortunately, we were picked off there.
00:40:32And he is, oh, I should have ran the ball, actually.
00:40:35I just realized there's second in the inches.
00:40:39Shit.
00:40:42Rondae Barber was actually the one that made the interception.
00:40:45That was a good play by Barber.
00:40:46It's unfortunate that we turned it over.
00:41:11So, it's a 10-point game now.
00:41:13So, if we hadn't been intercepted, I should have ran the ball there, actually.
00:41:16I wasn't paying attention to the, uh, uh, you know, what down it was or what.
00:41:24You know, how many inches we had left.
00:41:27How many yards we had left to the first down, so.
00:41:33That's my fault on that.
00:41:35I was focused more on the clock and clock management than I was.
00:41:43I'm going to hail Mary for this play.
00:42:04I'm going to use our timeout, so, uh, that way if we can get in the unlikely event, you know.
00:42:15I'm going to use our timeout.
00:42:26Hail Mary succeeds.
00:42:27It'll be a th- s- s- three-point game.
00:42:30I know he said seven, but.
00:42:34Ah, shoot.
00:42:35Yeah, that's my fault for actually, uh, not paying attention.
00:42:48Remember that Super Bowl, the Saints, when the Saints played the Colts?
00:43:03The Saints opened the second half by a risky and bold decision by, uh, starting an onside kick.
00:43:14And they actually succeeded because no one was expecting them to.
00:43:20So, do that, so.
00:43:25So, 94-type zone.
00:43:32Ah, good job, Deuce.
00:43:45Deuce McAllister.
00:43:46That's a pretty cool name, actually.
00:43:48That's a cool name.
00:43:57I know I'm laughing, but I think it's very cool that he's.
00:44:01I'm sure Deuce is a nickname, but it's still cool.
00:44:04It's still pretty cool.
00:44:20Sorry for yawning so much.
00:44:21I don't know why I'm yawning.
00:44:22I'm not, well, I wasn't sleeping until I started yawning, but.
00:44:26You yawn because I think your brain lacks oxygen or something like that.
00:44:31I feel like I could yawn again, actually.
00:44:37But I also know that seeing other people yawn makes me want to yawn as well.
00:44:4322 scram H-drivers to play with no run.
00:44:4623 scram H-drivers to play with no pace.
00:44:51Imagine that, you know, probably of all the, uh, plays to run, of all the positions, you know,
00:45:04for defense, the easiest to memorize plays would be probably any of the, uh,Probably the defensive
00:45:15attack because most of the time you're just going to try and hit the quarterback.
00:45:20Maybe, depending on, you know, the coach, you know, it may be the defensive end if you're
00:45:25going to cover a certain area or if you're going to be like a spy, if the defensive attack
00:45:30is going to be a spy, so.
00:45:36But, you know, okay, so let's go for a field goal.
00:45:40It's going to be a 60-yard field goal, but I think we can make it.
00:45:45Nope.
00:45:52Oh, was it blocked?
00:46:02No.
00:46:10Yeah, I know the toughest would be, like, the safeties in cornerbacks because you, like,
00:46:14have to know if you're going to play zone or if you're going to play man defense, and
00:46:21if you're playing man, who are you going to cover, you know.
00:46:25linebacker, actually, may be the toughest because you could be playing zone, you know, the cornerbacks
00:46:39and the safeties don't, they blitz, but they don't blitz as much as, you know, the linebackers,
00:46:46I think.
00:46:46But, you know, I'd imagine the linebackers, you have to know if you're going to play, if
00:46:51you're going to blitz or if you're going to play zone or if you're going to, however,
00:46:57like the, if you're going to play man or zone or what.
00:47:04And I know, because rarely, you're going to, rarely do the ends play, the defensive ends
00:47:12or the, uh, especially even rarer to do the defensive tackles, actually.
00:47:20I'd imagine, uh, do they actually play zone or man defense.
00:47:29So.
00:47:37Now, on offense, I'd imagine the easiest to actually do is, uh.
00:47:43The easiest would be the linemen, just because you're, uh, you know, unless you're like a
00:47:58guard that's pulling, you know, the easiest is just to know if it's a pat, on a pass or
00:48:04run, just to know how to block, because, you know, on pass plays, you have to block your
00:48:08opponent, but you can't push them past the line of scrimmage.
00:48:13Whereas, run plays, you can push them, you could, in theory, push them from your own
00:48:20one yard line to the, uh, other, from all the way down the, through, all the, at least
00:48:27you from wherever you are, down the field or on a run play.
00:48:30In theory, of course, and practicality is, I'm sure it's much harder, so.
00:48:38So.
00:48:43Imagine, actually, center would be quite hard, just because, you know, you have to snap the
00:48:53ball and then block.
00:48:56So, I talked about this in a previous video.
00:48:58I don't remember which one, but.
00:48:59I, uh, I played two seasons of American football, uh, I played, well, my senior, not my senior,
00:49:09but in high school, in ninth grade, I was part of the varsity in junior varsity, and then
00:49:13I played in seventh grade as well.
00:49:14So, anyway, in high school, I tried, uh, one practice to play center, and I struggled at
00:49:26that.
00:49:28So, I'd imagine, you know, the guards and the tackles for the offensive line would be easy,
00:49:33but center would be quite difficult.
00:49:35So, I know what was for me, so.
00:49:38So, I'd imagine in terms of memorizing plays, the quarterback would, uh, well, I'd imagine
00:50:01in terms of memorizing plays, the centers wouldn't really need to know, you know, that much,
00:50:12because they really have to snap the ball and block.
00:50:17But in practice, actually playing the position, I can see how the center and long snapper would
00:50:23be a tough position to play.
00:50:31So, quarterback, you just need to know if you're going to, if it's a play, if it's a
00:50:42run play, and if it's, you know, if it's a run play, who are you going to give it off
00:50:48to, and, you know, if it's a pass play, you know, you just need to know where your receivers
00:50:54are going to be, so.
00:50:56It's pretty tough.
00:50:57Any of the receivers?
00:51:01Yeah, for your receivers, I guess, you know, blocking, you know, run plays, you just block,
00:51:17but, you know, the route, you know, and how to easily beat the, uh, the route you're supposed
00:51:26to run can be easy to memorize, but in practice, actually, I'd imagine it'd be much more difficult.
00:51:31You know, when I think about it, you know, memorizing plays and actually making those plays work
00:51:49are not the same thing, and there, there is, you know, you can, you can memorize the entire
00:51:57playbook, but it is actually making and performing those plays, you know, would be, I could imagine
00:52:04would be difficult compared to memorizing.
00:52:08You know, if you're like a wide receiver and you're supposed to run a core route, what happens
00:52:13if you're tightly defended, you know, and your, you, you, your offensive line basically is
00:52:20blocking very well for your quarterback, do you still, maybe someone that played wide
00:52:25receiver can actually answer this for me, but, you know, do you still run your routes, and
00:52:32what happens if you run a core route, you know, and you reach, I guess, reach the end
00:52:38of it, and you're still tightly, uh, however, do you just go back again and run the same
00:52:44route, or do you just run a, you know, and try to get, or do you just do something else
00:52:50and try to get open, because, you know, I've never played wide receiver, so I wouldn't know.
00:52:56When I played, I played, uh, when I played football, I played one game as, one play as,
00:53:03definitely one play, but at least a couple plays as kickoff returner, where I was a blocker
00:53:09on kickoff returner, not a kickoff returner, but blocker, and then I played usually as left
00:53:16tackle, and a defensive tackle as well, when I played American football, so.
00:53:26All I did was, you know, you know, at least in the playbook, they didn't really design
00:53:33any, uh, you know, there weren't any place where I have to be, like, the spy, where I just,
00:53:51you know, stand back and, you know, stand back and, uh, watch the quarterback's eyes, or, you
00:54:07know, I would have to cover anyone on defense by playing the offense, despite being the defense
00:54:12attack, I would always try and, you know, uh, try and staff the quarterback, or at least
00:54:19try and tackle the, uh, ball carrier in the backfield, whoever had the ball carrier, so.
00:54:26Remember one game, you know, I attended a small school, uh, so, in, like, seventh grade,
00:54:33they played, they scheduled a game against, I think, a bunch of fifth graders, you know,
00:54:37it was, like, eighth, seventh, eighth graders, and then I think one year they played, like,
00:54:41a bunch of fifth and sixth graders, and then I think some seventh graders, so, anyway, I
00:54:47was, like, the biggest person on my team, you know, when I was on the ninth grade football
00:54:52team, actually, I don't want to say eighth grade, but it was ninth, so.
00:54:54Anyway, they, I, you know, the, it was, like, for my, it was, like, on my team, it was, like,
00:55:04sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth graders, that's how small it was, the school was, and,
00:55:09you know, they had, I think, fifth and sixth graders against the school we were playing,
00:55:15and, so, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth, I think we're right, so, anyway, the, a lot
00:55:27of the kids, you know, weren't as big as I was, so, I was, like, the biggest kid on my
00:55:31team, so, I was a very fat kid as a teenager, but, you know, what, I have to laugh, you know,
00:55:38I hate it at the time, but I was playing defensive tackle, and in that game, I actually, uh,
00:55:46hold on, I actually, well, three, there were, the coach of the other team had three offensive
00:55:58linemen block me, and I hated it at the time, because all of my other teammates, essentially,
00:56:05that were blitzing, that were, like, the linebackers, or defensive ends, were getting
00:56:09sacks, and I was there, I had three kids on me, trying to, just blocking me from doing
00:56:17anything, but in hindsight, you know, it's a compliment, because now that I think about
00:56:24it, you know, it means that the coach thought I was probably, you know, very, either very good
00:56:34and my position, or I was the biggest kid, and, you know, I would unfold, you know, whether
00:56:40it be by accident or on purpose, you know, just hurt the ball carrier, not that I would
00:56:45intentionally, so, you know, hurt anyone in American football, but, you know, he probably
00:56:53thought that, you know, they need the quarterback, they have a small team, so let's, let's get
00:57:01the, let's get three, let's get 60% of our offensive line on this one big, big kid, so he won't,
00:57:09you know, hurt our backfield, so, so he won't wreak havoc, so, that, you know, not the aspect
00:57:25of, you know, hurting someone is a compliment, but, you know, the, we're going to lose this
00:57:31game, I'm not doing very well, but, you know, the aspect that they needed three people to
00:57:37essentially stop me was a compliment, so, yeah, that was a compliment, but, you know,
00:57:47of course, in games like American football, you know, the object is not, is to, on defense
00:57:54is to at least stop the ball carrier from getting to the end zone by tackling him, not to injure
00:58:03anyone, you don't want to injure anyone in American football, and I never intentionally
00:58:08tried to injure anyone in American football, so.
00:58:17there we go, cold, and then 33 bob,
00:58:43I remember in middle school, I played, uh, basketball, I was always like a center or power
00:59:01forward, I wasn't very good in middle school, I was too shy and timid, um, I was essentially
00:59:09tall for my age, but, you know, I guess, now I'm average height, but, around average height,
00:59:22maybe, if not like an inch or two below, I'm like 5'9", 5'10", I'm not sure if that's like
00:59:27average height in the U.S., but, in middle school, compared to a lot of the other kids I was tall,
00:59:33so I was always like a center or power forward, but, now that I look back, I kinda wish I did
00:59:54play sports more, not American football though, I'm glad I didn't play it for more than two seasons,
01:00:06because, you know, the amount of brain damage you can get is not good, that's not something, you know,
01:00:17if I have children, that's not a sport I'd want them to play, I wouldn't want them to play like rugby,
01:00:21or Australian rules football, or American football, or, if they were to do something like wrestling,
01:00:34I wouldn't like them to do that, just because, you know, the amount of brain damage, if it's something,
01:00:41I think a combat sport, it'd be like, uh, something where they could learn to defend themselves,
01:00:47but only use that in a way, in an event that they have to defend themselves, you know, not like the
01:00:54competitive, like the box, like, I wouldn't like them to be a professional boxer or anything like
01:00:59that, or mixed martial artists, or anything like that, just because of the amount of brain damage you
01:01:03can get. I can see how people would like it, but, you know, at the same time, you know, I can see how
01:01:21people would be fans of the sport, and, you know, would pick up the sport, but, you know,
01:01:27there we go, we got a touchdown, I, you know, it's not something I would advocate a lot of people
01:01:41to actually do, you know, it's a, for a, living, you know, if you're going to do anything like that,
01:01:52you know, it should be, like, for, uh, self-defense or something like that, never like to,
01:02:07I don't know, it's just like, essentially, you're just giving yourself and the opponent brain damage,
01:02:13why take the risk, you know, just
01:02:20ah, shoot, we weren't successful on that
01:02:43like soccer, you can get brain damage in, but that's only, like, if you head the ball a lot,
01:02:49so, not that I'd recommend doing that, but, yeah, we have to get a stop here, so we need,
01:03:03uh, we need to blitz
01:03:13nickel, and, uh, lamb lurk
01:03:42yeah, like, you know, baseball and basketball, concussions aren't common
01:03:52I mean, it's still possible, you know, to get a concussion in those sports, but, you know,
01:04:01and soccer, but, you know, it's not, like, every game you have someone getting a concussion or anything
01:04:08like that, like, it's not as common as it is in football
01:04:13yeah,
01:04:34by football, I mean, American football
01:04:38not, like, what the rest of the world, like, most of the world calls football, but
01:04:43well, because I know there's association football, then, you know, rugby's full name is, like, rugby football
01:04:52rugby union football, rugby league football, you know, you have Australian rules football, you have American football
01:04:58football, you have arena football, that's kind of similar to American football, and then, you have Canadian football as well
01:05:07you
01:05:28I mean, it's like, it's like indoor football and American football is kind of like a equivalent to, like, futsal and, uh, soccer, you know, futsal is basically played indoors and, uh, on a smaller field
01:05:45compared to soccer, similar to indoor soccer
01:05:48but, you know, it's like, indoor football is basically on a smaller field
01:05:56American football on a smaller field, and, you know, because, like, um, American football
01:06:01it's more common to see, like, uh, roofed stadiums in
01:06:05American football at the professional level, but you can play it outside
01:06:10the difference between, like, Canadian football and, uh, American football is American football
01:06:18you have one more down to work with to get 10 yards
01:06:24and you have one fewer player on the field
01:06:28than, uh, Canadian football
01:06:32but also, the
01:06:36Canadian football feels, like, 5 or 10 yards, uh
01:06:40bigger
01:06:43so
01:06:55it's, like, 10 yards bigger
01:07:01so
01:07:05it's, like, 10 yards bigger
01:07:09so
01:07:11it's third down
01:07:17we essentially can't go for a field goal because if we go for a field goal
01:07:24it'll still be a two possession game, so that just makes no sense, so we have to go for it
01:07:29on fourth down
01:07:34oh, and he dropped it
01:07:44oh, and he dropped it
01:07:46oh, and he dropped it
01:07:47oh, and he dropped it
01:07:52oh, and good, uh, passing defense, so
01:07:54Tampa Bay, so
01:07:56oh, and he dropped it
01:08:00there we go
01:08:07there we go
01:08:07there we go
01:08:11there we go
01:08:25I do actually have to go for the onside kick regardless of whether I make it
01:08:42so if we score here it'll be six points, so
01:08:44that'll reduce the lead to six
01:08:46I do not need to go for two
01:08:53because I
01:08:56just need two touchdowns and one extra point
01:08:59to actually, uh
01:09:03need two touchdowns and one extra point, uh, to actually
01:09:13take the lead
01:09:14take the lead
01:09:16so essentially what I'll do is, uh, I'll have to go for a field goal
01:09:22not a field goal, I have to go for the onside kick
01:09:26so
01:09:31I mean, the management may not like it, but I said, uh, if I give the ball to Tampa Bay they
01:09:39can just run out the clock, there's no
01:09:45guarantee that they'll
01:09:48well, they got it, so, you know
01:09:54if they make a field, if we can actually stop them and make a field goal
01:09:58if they make a field goal, then we actually do have to go for two
01:10:03so
01:10:09this will be my only game on the stream, by the way
01:10:14so
01:10:24essentially, uh, if we get the ball back enough enough time, we have to score touchdown
01:10:29to win
01:10:47let's do a defensive end contain
01:10:51if they score touchdown, it'll be an 11 point game, if they score an extra point, it'll be back to 12
01:10:55which will basically negate my, uh
01:11:13touchdown
01:11:17and essentially there won't be enough time for me to actually, uh,
01:11:22getting two touchdowns back, so
01:11:25not gonna call a timeout because the two minute warning is coming up
01:11:34but we have to stop them here
01:11:37whenever they call a play
01:11:51call a timeout
01:12:08just call a timeout
01:12:09call a timeout
01:12:17if they make it, it'll be
01:12:33they're gonna make it, so
01:12:35it's gonna be an eight point game, so maybe I should've went for the two point conversion
01:12:39I didn't
01:12:39I, you know, I thought
01:12:42I thought we were actually going to, uh
01:12:46well, it's a good inning call a timeout, so I thought we were gonna actually successfully get the, uh
01:12:56the onside kicks, I didn't think that far ahead, so
01:12:59it has to be passing plays
01:13:17it has to be passing plays
01:13:39it essentially makes no sense going for the extra point because, you know, if we go for the extra point we'll have to go for the onside kick
01:13:45you know, and there's no guarantee, we haven't received an onside kick so far
01:13:53so
01:14:00I know I called a running play, I don't want to call a timeout just yet
01:14:04now I will actually, I have to use my last timeout, unfortunately, as a tackle for a loss
01:14:22on that play
01:14:34uh, he looked inbounds to me
01:14:46we have to go for it regardless, because three points
01:14:49you know
01:14:50to go for an onside kick
01:14:52which is
01:14:52uh
01:14:54risky
01:15:04Make it or break it, you know.
01:15:27Oh, no.
01:15:29He got his hand up. That was a good defensive play, but that was just bad for us, so...
01:15:38Shit.
01:15:40That looked like he was gonna... I thought he was gonna be complete had he made the pass, so...
01:15:47Essentially, they'll just need to call maybe two more kneeling plays, and then they'll win the game, so...
01:15:55It's frustrating.
01:15:59This is a game.
01:16:01I'm gonna do this at the time, so...
01:16:03C'mon, I'm gonna go play and play play.
01:16:05I'm gonna try it again.
01:16:07I know I'll play play.
01:16:11This is my favorite one.
01:16:13This is my favorite one.
01:16:15This is my favorite one.
01:16:17I just need to be out there...
01:16:20This is my favorite one.
01:16:23I just need to be out there.
01:16:25Oh, well, we tried our best, so we have no time out, so we can't really do anything.
01:16:40Oh, well, no perfect season for us, but we can actually still go 15-1 next year, this year I should say.
01:17:07Now hop off.
