00:00A couple of reasons for that.
00:04One is because the LNP holds it on a 3.4% margin,
00:08so not a huge margin.
00:10But secondly, because the current sitting member,
00:12LNP member Warren Ench, is retiring this election.
00:16Now, he's been in this job for the better part of 30 years.
00:20Last time he actually retired, back in 2007,
00:23the seat flipped to Labor.
00:25Then he came back the following term and successfully recontested.
00:29So this will be another question about whether people are voting for him
00:33and his personality or the LNP party.
00:36Now, we know this has been a key target for Labor.
00:39We've already seen Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visit the seat
00:42and promote his candidate, former basketballer Matt Smith,
00:46and announce some money to try and boost school tourism
00:49to the Great Barrier Reef,
00:50which, of course, lies just off the coast here in Cairns.
00:54But Peter Dutton will shortly be arriving at this supporters' breakfast.
00:57There's lots of hash browns and whatnot going around.
01:00I think he actually already has just arrived shortly in the background there.
01:04And he, of course, is here to promote his candidate,
01:07LNP candidate, Jeremy Neal.
01:09Now, throughout the campaign so far,
01:11he has had to apologise, or he has apologised,
01:14for a series of deleted tweets.
01:17But, look, this will be the focus here today.
01:19Not sure if any announcements potentially coming,
01:22but certainly a reasonable group of supporters here
01:26to back him in for this breakfast.
