00:00Thank you, thank you to each and every one of you because it's just been overwhelming.
00:05The people that have came and spoke to me, people that I don't even know that said they voted for me.
00:10It just means the world to me, absolutely means the world to me.
00:13Oh, like, words can't describe how, like, just, yeah, amazing, cloud nine.
00:19Like, we're just honoured to even be here tonight.
00:21I was so speechless to be nominated for a start because doing this is just to help others, as I say,
00:28doing the same support network as I do.
00:31But to be recognised for it is something special.
00:34It's an achievement, and there's so many amazing people in there tonight.
00:37Just to share the stage with them is absolutely phenomenal.
00:40Yeah, it's quite moving, really, because, like, a lot of my work, you know, you just sort of plod away,
00:46and I've always sort of done it, so you sort of don't realise that people know that you're doing it.
00:50You just think my inner circle know I do it, but you think no one else is paying attention.
00:54And, you know, when it comes to green and environmental issues, you always sort of feel like it,
00:59it's like people are like, I sort of get it, but seeing that people actually, you know, voted for it is, yeah, it's quite amazing.
01:05Very overwhelmed, emotional.
01:08I've come from a small village, and I'm a sharder, and they're all going, oh, you've got it, you've got it,
01:13but there's a lot of people out here that have done a lot of care.
01:16I had two uncles at Ladies Bridge, and they were disabled,
01:22and I wanted to know what they did on their daily lives.
01:26I didn't want them just sitting in a chair watching TV.
01:29So, of course, it led me to a job with Community Integrated Care, and I've been there for 23 years.
01:36Just, just humbled to be actually part of the awards, but to win it is just,
01:41puts the end to my 40-year career, because I've just recently retired.
