00:00Cubs have been kicking the Dodgers ass this year despite when they played in the Far East they
00:07beat them whatever four straight times uh Crow Armstrong going off Cubs playing the Phillies
00:13today the Cubs have had all these wild games at Wrigley Field that they've won uh they've been
00:20very impressive to me are you shocked to see the way they pushed around the Dodgers I was
00:25yeah yeah yeah no doubt about it I mean you know the Cubs watching those that series this week
00:31especially that first game against the Dodgers where the Cubs are down by three runs going into
00:38the ninth and they hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth and then a solo homer to tie it they
00:44win it in extra innings and then the next day they win seven to six and you're right Pete Crow Armstrong
00:50is you know he's living up to what people thought he was going to be right now um again now the next
00:57trick will be can he continue to do it all season more than just for a week or two at a stretch but
01:02you know Pete Crow Armstrong PCA has been has been awesome this week I've I loved from the start the
01:09Kyle Tucker acquisition from Houston uh that kid he he can play I do think that was an upgrade over
01:17Cody Bellinger um you know Tucker hit the big home run in the first game against the Dodgers and
01:22ninth inning two-run shot um uh Tucker PCA um you know guys like Ian Happ and Nico Horner are coming
01:31into their own and they're from what it looks like right now there's something special going on
01:37with the Cubs I mean they're winning uh the way they're winning uh Wrigley Field is exploding I mean
01:44the post game following those Dodger wins this week Wrigley Field was loud dare I say it almost
01:51back to 2016 uh type proportions so uh yeah Cubs might be the best they're certainly the hottest
01:58team in baseball right now they may be uh one of the three or four best if not the best as we speak
02:04right now so the Padres have a series with the Rays at Petco this weekend they were on the road
02:11they're back home Michael who would be king is pitching I think he's looked fantastic for them
02:16and as far as I'm concerned uh they're the most impressive team so far for me the way they've gone
02:22out and it was better earlier but the road trip kind of uh punched them in the face but they're 17
02:27and 8 I think or something like that along those lines and they're back home again and I think they
02:33can take advantage of this Rays team yeah they can they've been playing really well at home I mean
02:39their home record's like 12 and 1 or something like that in Central Park um but the other thing
02:45you're right they lost they went 2 and 4 on the road trip to Houston and Detroit but they're
02:52maintaining right now and that's a big thing for the Padres because you know they lost Jackson Merrill
02:59to a hamstring injury a couple weeks ago um they lost Luis Arise early in the road trip to concussion
03:07protocol um they lost Jake Cronenworth a couple weeks ago to a fractured rib he took a shot in
03:15the ribs a pitch in the ribs against the Cubs two road trips ago um so I mean they're without three
03:21or four important pieces of their starting lineup so other guys have been stepping up guys like like
03:29sheets you know from Gavin Sheets who they they signed over the winner for the free agent for the
03:34Chicago White Sox they've got some role players like him Jose Iglesias who uh most recently last
03:40year we saw with the Mets right got role player oh Jason Hayward's out as well he pulled a hammy so
03:46they've got a number of guys on the injured list right now so you kind of look at the Padres at the
03:52moment you grade them on the curve a little bit and say with all those guys out they the record they
03:58have and the way they've been going is still pretty good and and when they get everybody back
04:03you know they're going to be in good position of you to take off again
04:07you
