00:15from 2023. Exports to the U.K. rose by 39%. That increase was fueled by a potential 50%
00:22tariff on American whiskey imports in 2025. And Discus President and CEO Chris Swanger
00:27said this year's outlook is far less clear, saying,
00:30Unfortunately, ongoing trade disputes unrelated to our sector have caused uncertainty, keeping
00:35many U.S. distillers on the sidelines and curtailing sales growth. Roughly 50% of all U.S. spirits
00:41were exported to the EU, with whiskey being the spirit purchased most by European importers.
00:46Tennessee and Kentucky, two states with huge bourbon productions, exported a combined $1.7
