00:00You've been getting the first goal of the team haven't you and everyone says that's such a good platform to win and it's difficult to do, how frustrating to not be getting them wins that that deserves.
00:08Bury, I think probably the last four or five games we've got to the Leeds and you think that you're going to go and take the points, that was Cardiff last minute, Stoke penalty which wasn't a penalty the other day, 1-0 up, they get a penalty which is not a penalty.
00:27So yeah, it's frustrating, I suppose that when you go 1-0 up you think you're going to kick on and go again and that is the plan, that's definitely not what we intend to do is to score and then suddenly try to hold on to something, it's not the intent, so yeah, it's frustrating and it's something that we have to put right.
00:49How did you find dropping out against QPR, I think it would have surprised a lot of people, does it just sort of respect it, head down and get back in as good as you can?
00:55Yeah, difficult, I suppose you respect the manager's decision, whatever he says goes I suppose, but yeah, your plan is normal, you work hard and you're ready for when your opportunity comes.
01:09Have you found working with him because everybody that sits there says how good he is and really enjoy working with him and this results back up with bad results really, it's a funny dynamic.
01:17Yeah, like I said, I've enjoyed the last four months, the last month's been difficult result-wise, but like I said we should be way ahead where we should be as a team, but yeah, I've enjoyed it, but to enjoy it even more the wins have to come and the results have to come, so I said that's the end.
01:36How have you found going from the middle of the back three to the left centre-back?
01:39Yeah, it's a bit different isn't it, you have different roles, different responsibilities, but yeah, like I said before, every game I play I try and do everything that I can in my control, so yeah, when I go out there I try and give 100% whether I'm in the middle centre or wherever I put.
01:57What sort of feel of Preston as a club have you got, have you got a mix of passion and a bit of anger as well, does that come into your kind of world, don't I want to try and block it out?
02:05To be fair, I try, when I leave the club I try and put it outside, I think I try not to look too much onto my post, I can say on match days and probably go back to the Burnley game, we're talking about Full House on Saturday, the Burnley game, you really felt that passion and drive for everyone who was there, it was an amazing day and like I said, for me I'm delighted that the ticket prices had gone down, the attendance had gone up because I think as players you loved that, you loved them games and especially last game of the season.
02:35You can't wait to go and play and put it on a performance.
02:39It was a £5 club player in the game and he saved him scoring the goals, come on in the game.
02:43Peter, Peter and Craig, yeah, it's something that's been discussed a lot of times and I think it's a time, it's perfect.
02:51Like I say, I feel for, I'm with the players so I see the players affected when something out of their control means that their efforts are not rewarded and then questioned.
03:03Does that make, and I'm not going to go here, do you understand what I'm saying?
03:07It's tough, I've been in a dressing room, I know what that means, you know, what I've done, I've been in a defender of the ball and just given a penalty game for someone who died, but the narrative changes.
03:16Yeah, of course, if you don't seem to stand, like I said, it's not given, the game would have played out perfectly.
03:24I know what decisions are, we're talking about different things again here now.
03:28So I can't have, I can protect the players a little bit and say that, but the fans suffer from this, the fans suffer from this, the fans suffer from this, the fans suffer from this, the fans suffer from this, the fans suffer from this.
03:35It's obviously been done a few times, been sorting a house and it's been good, but like you said, what makes it a bit better is when you're in the game, that's my focus.
03:49And if you get the job done on Saturday, do you think next season can be a really positive one for the club and the manager's going to do a lot of changing, I think, by what you've said to us?
03:56Yeah, absolutely. I've said this probably the last time I spoke is that you get in this season, you need to make sure that this season you finish strongly and then you focus on next year.
04:09So that's kind of a bit of a distant outlook for the moment, but I'm sure once it's done, we'll sit down and I'm sure there'll be a refresh and it'll be exciting.
