00:02Psoriasis is the chronic inflammatory skin disease that can occur in all age groups.
00:10It is characterized by the appearance of silvery scales and red patches on the skin leading to itching and patient discomfort.
00:24The current therapeutic management of psoriasis is only symptomatic and associated with adverse
00:34effects.
00:35Therefore, there is an unmeant medical need for efficacious, safer and cost-effective
00:45therapies.
00:46Soragrid and divatel are novel Ayurvedic prescription medicines indicated for the treatment of psoriasis.
00:57Soragrid contains extracts of some Ayurvedic hubs like Nima, Gilwaya, Amaltha, Sirsa, Moringa,
01:08Nagarmotha, Karanja, Indrajo, Dharu Haldi and a classical Ayurvedic formulation, Rasam
01:16Manikya.
01:17Divatel contains oils obtained from the seeds of Ashwagandha, Sibakthorn, Daru Haldi, Haldi,
01:29Nima and Teel.
01:31These components have been used for skin disorders since ancient times.
01:37Therefore, the current study investigated the antipsoriatic activity of these two novel
01:46formulations.
01:47Initially, we tested the chemical composition of soragrid using UHVLC, a fatty acid profile
01:58of divatel was performed by GC-MS-MS.
02:05Analysis revealed the presence of several skin barrier promoting compounds and anti-inflammatory
02:13and antioxidant phytochemicals.
02:16The anti-inflammatory activity of sorosis was evaluated in vitro after that early
02:27administrated soragrid and topically applied divatel were assisted for there in vivo
02:37conditions.
02:38Evaluation of soragrid in TNF, alpha-induced skin cells revealed modulation of gene and protein
02:51expression of inflammatory markers in the dose-dependent manner.
02:56soragrid in combination with divatel demonstrated formological effects into murine models of psoriasis
03:09like skin diseases induced by imikki mode and TPA respectively.
03:17In the imikki mode model, soragrid and divatel were able to reduce ear punch weight, spleen weight,
03:27and histopathological changes in both ear and back skin.
03:33Additionally, combined administration of soragrid and divatel reduced the expression of
03:43of KRT-17 gene which is responsible for the abnormal growth of skin cells.
03:53In the TPA-induced ear edema model, soragrid and divatel also reduced the increase in ear
04:02thickness, ear punch weight, and histopathological changes.
04:08changes taken together, the combined use of soragrid and divatel has potential to treat clinical
04:18and pathological aspects of psoriasis.
