00:00I'm in the Hartlepool home of first-time author Anthony Stamp. Your first books out.
00:06What's it called and what's it about? Yeah, it's called Stay Away and it's about a very reluctant
00:13little werewolf. She was bitten quite young. She doesn't like what she is. She's a bit
00:19frightened of if she hurts somebody or anything like that. So she's moved away,
00:25away from her family and friends and gone on a bit of a hunt to look for a
00:29place to live and a friend, basically. Without telling us too much detail about it,
00:34you see a werewolf who's a wee bit cautious. How does that work? Well, it's quite strange
00:41really because she has a struggle between a human side and a wolf side. She sees herself
00:49as a bit of a monster. She doesn't want to be a werewolf. She never asked to be bitten.
00:54And it's really caused a lot of trouble in her life. It's caused a lot of heartache.
00:58She's lost her family, lost her friends. So she just doesn't like what she is.
01:02And she just wants to wants to go away somewhere where she can be in a place where no one knows
01:09what she is. No one's going to hunt her down. And then she can find a friend.
01:14One last question. Yeah. Without slowing too much. Good ending?
01:19It's a good ending. It's a happy ending. Although it does have some emotion in it.
01:24And it sort of sets up a second book as well. So I'm looking forward to writing that.
