00:43The problem for him is if he does make a deal, he may think that he will look weak.
00:49And if he thinks he will look weak, he is probably worried that other Communist Party figures are going to challenge him.
00:56So I think that this trade friction in some sense supports his political position in the party.
01:03And to him, that I think is really, really important.
01:06So I don't think that we can assume that China is going to do the economically rational thing.
01:11Because if it were going to do the economically rational thing, I think that we would have seen some movement well before now.
