Exclusive Olive Neo colour, historically inspired decorative graphics and legendary Pasha pattern in the interior: Porsche presents the 911 Spirit 70 at the Shanghai Auto Show, a convertible limited to 1,500 units that embodies the essence of the 1970s and early 1980s.

Created as part of the Heritage Design strategy, this collector's item is the third 911 model in which Porsche has revived an era with the help of iconographic design elements from earlier vehicles. The technical basis for the 911 Spirit 70 is the current 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet with efficient performance hybrid. In combination with the high-voltage system, the eTurbo and the electric motor in the new PDK, the newly developed 3.6-litre boxer engine achieves a system output of 398 kW (541 hp) and 610 Nm. The 911 Spirit 70 can be ordered immediately. It is expected to arrive at European dealerships from April 2025, with other markets to follow.

The Heritage Design models emphasise the ‘lifestyle’ dimension, which stands for particularly emotional concepts within the Porsche product strategy. The first model in the series was the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition presented in 2020 in the style of the 1950s and early 1960s. With the 911 Sport Classic, Porsche presented the second collector's item from the Heritage Design strategy in 2022. This small series, limited to 1,250 units, revived the style of the 1960s and early 1970s.

00:00Welcome to the atmosphere of 1970s, welcome to the emotion, welcome to Porsche and welcome to the presentation of the 911 Spirit 70.
00:30Let's have a look at the real car and all the details.
00:38The heritage design strategy was made to bring back the rich history of Porsche.
01:01The most emotional cars come from the racetrack, but we wanted to set a new perspective on Porsche.
01:07We have the design-oriented cars that were made in our design studio in Weissach called the Heritage Design Models.
01:14And it's all about emotion, colors, materials, but also celebrating the eras that they stand for.
01:21The music, the movies, the artists, everything that creates goosebumps for our Porsche customers, but also fans and enthusiasts.
01:30And you're all familiar that this is not the first car.
01:33This is actually the third heritage design model out of a row of four.
01:37All cars with an even number, as you see here, the 70 are the limited series cars.
01:43But we also had the uneven numbers on the doors that were the packages.
01:47We had 48 already, 63 and 74.
01:50And this is now the fact that this is made of a collector story.
01:55As I said, it is all about emotion, but also about the technical details.
02:01We always combine the most modern drivetrain with some flavor of the past.
02:06So the 911 Spirit 70 is based on the GTS, the latest T-Hybrid technology.
02:13And that is purely driving pleasure while having the spirit of the 70s.
02:19As I said, we wanted to talk about design.
02:22And there is no better colleague than Thorsten Klein to welcome him here to support me with explaining all the details about the car.
02:35To start with, this car never wanted to be shy or decent.
02:39So we created two new colors.
02:41One is the olive neo, a new interpretation of the olive green from the 70s.
02:45And we have a new accent color, which is the bronzite that you can find on the Fuchs rims and on the front accents and back accents of the car.
02:53But the 70s were very vibrant and loud.
02:56We really wanted to do something with strong graphics.
02:59And so I identified the safety graphics of the 70s as an iconic theme that I really wanted to do in reinterpretation.
03:07So the 911 logo that continues in stripes and we actually even have them on the roof of this convertible top.
03:15And the most contrast, I have to say, that we were able to bring back is the interior.
03:21So we brought Pasha back.
03:23Pasha is a reinterpretation of a start and finish line flag.
03:28It's a theme for motorsport.
03:30So it shows a lot of motion and emotion.
03:32But the old version of Pasha for me was always something that's very cozy and comforting.
03:38So you feel very well sitting in this car.
03:41And the new interpretation that we did for the 992 is as good as it gets.
03:46This heritage interior is accompanied by the heritage Porsche crests.
03:50We have the gold plated limitation badge.
03:53And on top of that, we have a lot of additional leather options.
03:56We have contrast stitching with the basalt black club leather interior.
04:01Everything else is toned down.
04:03So Pasha is the superstar.
04:05Coming from its beautiful Pasha interior, we have the safety stripes returning on the cabriolet top.
04:13We have the newest version of the heritage grill badge in the 70s colors.
04:18We have the beautiful gold plated logos and emblems.
04:23And here where the music is, we not only have the titanium exhaust tips, but more of the bronze-eyed contrast colors.
04:29As we do not only think in the dimension of the car and its appearance, but about the perfect fit into the lifestyle of our customers.
04:40We have the matching child seats.
04:42We have other accessories like the Porsche design timepieces and the great lifestyle collection as well.
04:47This is it for now. I hope you enjoyed it.
04:55For more information, you can always check the Porsche newsroom on all facts and figures about the car.
05:01And stay tuned for the 80s.
05:17.
