01:56Ito, bilang isang spoken word artist, paano mo ginagamit yung sining ng salita upang mag-inspire at magbigay ng mga empowerment sa iba?
02:07Actually, ito.
02:09Naniniwala kasi, I don't know if you guys are familiar with Margaret Atwood, pero she's one of my favorite authors and poet.
02:16Ano siya, sabi niya kasi, a word after a word is power.
02:20So, dun palang naniniwala ako talaga na every word you say, ano siya, importante talaga siya kasi it gives life.
02:29Parang yung paniniwala po sa Bible na, di ba sabi, when God said, light, light came to be.
02:39So, parang this pretty much a similar concept to like when you're writing poetry, yun naman yung ano ko.
02:45Parang, my goal is to be able to somehow inspire, di ba, bring light and life to everyone who's listening, who's experiencing poetry.
02:56Pakilala mo muna yung ating mga asamang yan.
02:58Ayun, gusto ko magpasalamat pala kay, ano, si Marty Tenko, siya yung percussionist.
03:04And then si Liquid Ginger, Richard Tuazon, he's a sculptor, visual artist, and sound artist.

03:14And syempre, sa karanasan nyo naman po bilang radio host, paano nyo naman po na isasama yung spoken word poetry para mas makilala sa mainstream media?
03:23Ah, ayun.
03:25Interestingly, naisip ko kasi na mas makakatulong kung yun nga, like sa mainstream media, mas ipopromote natin yung literatura.
03:33Kasi minsan, di ba, sa classrooms, kids have a tendency to feel bored, lalo na pag ang pinag-uusapan na subject ay,
03:41ay, yan, parang, ay, pagtutulag, ano, minsan inaantok na yung mga kabataan pag ganun yung topic.
03:47So, ngayon yung naisip namin na, it's like putting a spin to it sa literature na nilagay namin sa mainstream media.
03:56Ayun nga, sa radyo, tapos sa, ano, sa podcast, and then our performances also, actually, surprisingly, maraming mga bata yung tumatangkilik talaga ng spoken word sa ngayon.
04:07Tapos, ayun, there is also performance poetry na performative naman yung ano ng poetry.
04:13Well, yung iba kong napapakinggan, Tagalog naman sya, no?
04:17So, minsan kasi kailangan talagang correct yung grammar mo dito, mapa-Tagalog, saka English, no?
04:22Yung kabataan yun, medyo pinaghalo na yung lingwahe ng Pilipino, saka ng English, no?
04:29Pero paano nyo po ini-engage yung mga kabataan sa panitikan, lalo na sa spoken word poetry?
04:35Ah, ano eh, I guess, lahat naman tayo nasa sa atin yun.
04:39Kasi pag may storya ka, meron kang pwedeng sabihin, meron kang pwedeng i-share.
04:45Lalo na sa mga kabataan.
04:46Siguro, ako, I remember a time, hindi naman sobrang katagalan yun,
04:50but I remember a time na marami rin ako masyadong feels.
04:55So, marami akong ikinaka-emote.
04:58So, ayun, dinaan ko sa writing.
05:00Kasi yun talaga yung motivation ko pag nagsusulat ako.
05:03Yung wala akong best friend eh, talaga, kasi I'm an introvert.
05:06So, mas pen and paper.
05:09So, dun ko in-express yung sarili ko through writing.
