00:00More audio tapes involving Shannon Sharp and his ex-girlfriend, and I think the issue right now is they are both kind of putting out in public, is this sexual assault or role-playing?
00:14She says, obviously, that it is sexual assault. That's what she is suing him for, along with $50 million. And he says, everything you are hearing, all the interactions between myself and this woman were role-playing. We had rough sex. We talked often about them.
00:35And he has released more text messages, which we'll get to in a moment. But here is the audio that her attorney, Tony Busby, released. And it is another phone conversation between Shannon and the girlfriend.
00:49This one, we don't know exactly when it is. It's interesting. Tony Busby is releasing these things, but he's not yet letting us know what the context of the conversation is or when it was recorded.
01:01I think what you just said, the first part of what you said to me is the most interesting. Why is he releasing this?
01:07Right. And also, why was she recording it at the time? But here is the conversation.
01:13You're going to see some white flashes. We have not removed any content. The full phone call is about a minute and a half, but most of it is silence. We've pulled up the silences.
01:24You're coming to L.A. tomorrow?
01:26Yes.
01:28Well, I don't know why you want to go out.
01:31Don't worry about it, Gary.
01:33Well, I'm not really interested in getting choked, so I guess we're going.
01:45Yeah. I might choke you in public. Big black guy, choked small white woman.
01:51It's not a good look, Shannon.
01:55Not a good look that you do what you did to me.
01:57So, we don't know what he's referring to there. If he's referring to something that actually happened, or is this all part of role-playing?
02:06Can I tell you something? When you listen to it, at the beginning, it really does sound like role-playing. It's like, if you choke me, it's like, why is that coming up?
02:16But that last thing he says feels like there was something.
02:20Right. That it was something acrimonious, an argument or something.
02:23Right.
02:25It's confusing.
02:26It's very confusing.
02:27And Shannon, his site, has not yet addressed these audio recordings.
02:32They've made a reference to a video that they say they expect to come out, a sex tape that he says is going to make it look like they're playing into stereotypes and that perhaps it will look like a sexual assault.
02:46He says it is not that this was a 10-minute interlude where we were role-playing.
02:52As for the text messages, this one that he released late yesterday is very interesting because it is a text from the woman, the accuser, to Shannon.
03:06And it was around January 2nd, I believe it was.
03:08So she says, I cried when you left because I begged you to put a condom on and not put it blank.
03:15And you didn't listen.
03:17I don't care what our history is.
03:19No means no, Shannon.
03:21Now, she is referring there to an October incident, an alleged incident, which she is calling the first time that he raped her.
03:32And that's what she's referring to there.
03:33The second alleged rape happened four days after that text that we just read.
03:40So it's hard to make heads or tails of this.
03:44Shannon is insisting everything that happened between them was consensual.
03:48What is so interesting about this is that both sides are coming out.
03:56Revealing all sorts of things.
03:57Revealing all this evidence.
03:58And, you know, Charlemagne, I think, today even told, you know, on the breakfast.
04:03He said that Shannon's getting bad counsel.
04:05And he's getting bad counsel and he shouldn't start revealing all this stuff now.
04:09And he said, remember, Shannon came on and said, I'm going, told his fans, I'm going to share everything with you guys because I have nothing to hide.
04:17And it seems like he is.
04:19We've seen other people take that tactic.
04:22Justin Baldoni put out all of those messages.
04:25Absolutely true.
04:25So will it work?
04:27I don't know.
04:28Shannon's attorneys, and I guess Shannon himself, is adamant.
04:32And among these text messages, you can kind of read what they're saying, that this woman essentially asked to be choked repeatedly.
04:39They point toward one text in particular.
04:42It was sent way back in 2023 where she told him she wanted him to put a dog collar on her and choke her while they were engaging in sex.
04:52And they pointed toward that text and say, look, this is the kind of conversations they had.
04:56So anytime that there's any audio that's talking about choking or any of that nature, this is simply how they communicated.
05:02And I know they've released all these text messages.
05:04The only thing I would say is, regardless of, yes, that gives you a full picture of what the nature of their relationship was.
05:11But that doesn't speak to whatever she alleged happened in October of 2024 and January of 2025.
05:19Even if you had that kind of relationship, there could still have been a sexual assault.
05:23A hundred percent. But I think what he's doing is he's saying this was the nature of the relationship.
05:30And you're right. It could go either way.
05:33But they're going to look at the whole.
05:35I mean, when I say they're going to look at the whole relationship.
05:38A jury?
05:38That assumes a jury. But, I mean, this thing's already being tried right now in public.
05:43Absolutely.
05:44My name is Hendo. I'm from Chicago, Illinois.
05:46And honestly, like Harvey and Charles said earlier, we got to start asking the questions of why are these being recorded?
05:53Why is Tony Busby just releasing these now and not giving too much context?
05:58See, the problem with the media and being public with the media, we got to understand that when these things are being released, there is not going to be much context.
06:07So I understand Shannon Sharp is trying to go the route of let me give you guys everything.
06:12Let me lay out all of my dirty laundry.
06:14Let you guys know now.
06:15So then when it gets released to the public later on, it won't be a surprise.
06:20But, unfortunately, with the gravity of this case and the situation, we can only take a lot of these words with a grain of salt.
06:26And we really cannot speak on these things until the case is closed, unfortunately.
06:29Well, the thing is, the case isn't even really open other than a lawsuit.
06:34There's no criminal case.
06:35Closed is a long time, even the civil case, a long, long time away.
06:39But it's all coming out in a day or two.
