00:00one kilometer to go bringing up the back of the group that's Jürgen Nordhagen a little bit further
00:10in front of him is Ben Chulet who by the looks of things he's just biding his time out of the
00:15fight of everything as now it's Jan Christen who starts to move forward alongside his teammate
00:20the world champion it's still McNulty who is controlling things and it's almost a case of
00:25patience and waiting they really want to set a fast hard tempo into the bottom of this climb
00:31in a big gear Pidcock's got a problem as he clicks it into the gear he wants another acceleration out
00:36of the saddle four hours 47 minutes of racing moving up on the left hand side Julian Alaphilippe
00:44who's won here on three occasions Alaphilippe is still there so on the front it's Christen and
00:50behind him is Pogaccia then Remco Avnapol Kevin Falkland Tom Pidcock Ben Healy Thibaut Nace
00:56Mauro Schmidt and then behind them it looks like the head of Martinez so we're into the final
01:03kilometer and still no one has struck but this is perfect for Tani Pogaccia the fact that he's got
01:10Jan Christen to set this tempo and make it so difficult that anybody who's further back than
01:15eighth ninth tenth position is going to have a hard time especially once we get to those really really
01:21steep gradients on the climb and particularly onto the virage Claude Curricleon hard to move forward
01:27as in the pink Ben Healy starts to accelerate he goes on the left hand side with 500 meters to go
01:33but still Pogaccia's just looking so calm so confident riding well within himself and here he goes
01:40here he goes here he goes he goes now and attacks the world champion just rides away and leaves the
01:48best bike riders in the world for dust Healy made a move on the right hand side but the world champion
01:54has just stamped his authority all over this race and just ridden away as though everyone else has their
02:01brakes on the world champion Pogaccia is almost at the line now as he cruises on this 17% gradient
02:08this is incredible the gap that he's opened up and for everyone else behind they're not able to do
02:15anything about this move of the world champion he takes a look around but he's got several bike lengths
02:20but this is where it really starts to bite here Volkerland tries to go in pursuit but as he left it too
02:26late and now Remco Ava-Nepaul starts to fade and the head starts to fall
02:31there is no answer right now the world champion cruising his way to the top of this climb
02:40it has been a perfectly executed race Volkerland tries to come back to Tadej Pogaccia now as the world
02:50champion reaches the flat section at the top of the Muir de Wee he's won this race before he's been so
02:58patient today this time Pogaccia rides solo to the top of the Muir de Wee it is the world champion
03:06who wins Flesch-Wallon Pogaccia strikes gold yet again
03:11Pidcock now cruising to try and get on the podium Volkerland takes second Pidcock takes third
