00:00I try my best to look at players and see their day.
00:04I don't care what number they go.
00:07You know, people have made teams that were drafted last pick of the 12th round
00:12when they had 12 rounds.
00:13And people have been drafted in the first round and got released in a year or two.
00:17So I've tried not to get caught up in what people are saying
00:20because what I know is what I coined it, lying season.
00:25There are people telling the guys that get all information out
00:30fibs or stuff just to get it out.
00:32Hey, you want this information?
00:33I need you to put this out too.
00:34They all do it.
00:35Sure.
00:36So I don't get too hyped up about it.
00:38But when I start looking, like what I've noticed,
00:41when something is negative said by a player,
00:44that gets blown out of proportion.
00:46But when something positive is said by the player, people just ignore it.
00:49So I don't, why would I go with the negative?
00:52You're not going to discuss the positive.
00:53So it's just like for me, this draft is going to come down to the other positions,
00:57which normally make a team even better.
01:00It's interesting because I'm not even like Washington doesn't pick until 29.
01:08I'm not even at this point.
01:11Anybody that's trying to overly focus on what the commanders are going to do,
01:15you're probably doing yourself a disservice.
01:18They have no idea what they're going to do.
01:20Adam Peters and Lance Newmark spoke at length yesterday in Ashburn.
01:24We're going to play you a ton of that audio.
01:26And repeatedly, Peters, I made a point of listening to it today.
01:30I read the transcripts yesterday.
01:33They repeatedly, Peters is like, yeah, man, you know,
01:38we're going to see how the board comes to us.
01:40We're going to make some calls before and after,
01:42but we're going to see what happens and kind of just take it from there.
01:46Of all things, they're being connected with two different Texas A&M edge rushers.
01:57No idea if any of them will come to fruition, but like that's where this is at.
02:04There's going to be a ton of options for them at 29.
02:08I still think trading back is the preferred course of action.
02:17Not to say it'll definitively happen.
02:20To trade back, you also need someone that wants to trade up.
02:24And they have to be willing to be offering something that makes sense.
02:28You don't trade back just to trade back.
02:29You want to trade back and still get positions in right places
02:33to where you can still make your team better.
02:35I, like I said earlier, I think they did so much in the off season
02:39that they now are going to sit back and just see how it goes.
02:44I don't think they're looking at any particular position or person
02:50that they have to get.
02:51I totally agree.
02:53And at 29, they probably got some guys they like.
02:58They had guys in for their visits.
02:59I mean, clearly there are people that they've been watching,
03:03but at 29, dude,
03:05you can't be locked in on somebody.
03:07Like, it's, you're so far down the board.
03:11But see, this is the thing though, Jay.
03:13We have been so far up the board
03:16and having a bad team so long,
03:18we don't understand how the good teams do it.
03:21The good teams are looking at people
03:23that's going to fit in and make their team grow and get better.
03:27We were looking for someone that we can have to focus on
03:30to be able to now have people want to come even play here.
