00:00Hi, I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon.
00:04Blackpool-born TV star Colleen Nolan has issued a plea to fans
00:08as she took to Instagram to reflect on one of her former jobs.
00:13Take a look at Colleen's message next.
00:16This is a show I did in 2015 called Give a Pet a Home.
00:21And the first day of filming, I was with Ray at the time,
00:24he said, do not come home with a dog.
00:26First day of filming, I found Mika.
00:28Oh, Julie and Clary.
00:32And they hadn't seen her at this point.
00:34One of the things we want to try and find out is
00:36Colleen's looking to adopt a six-month-old dog.
00:38So we need to find out if she's got experience
00:40of bringing on young dogs.
00:42When we first got our dogs, they were eight weeks old, nine weeks old.
00:45So you're used to the toilet training, having to teach them to go out.
00:49This is at our old, old house.
00:53Julie and Clary came around and was going,
00:55you need to get rid of that, that's terrible.
00:57I went, your dog's not bothered about painting, Julian.
01:00Julian's just shoved it.
01:02Julian Clary.
01:02Hello.
01:05Is this part of the home search?
01:07What a good idea to have a snowy white carpet.
01:10With a little bit.
01:12Julian's got a little bit more to learn.
01:14He looked too much at the decor and the dusting
01:16and not enough about whether Colleen and her family
01:18could actually meet the needs of the dog.
01:19Show's called Give a Pet a Home.
01:22Not Give a Pet a Headache.
01:24Give a Pet a Headache.
01:25Oh, look at my dog, old man, yeah.
01:32He's got a jacuzzi.
01:37Well, that's really...
01:39Well, if you do get it fixed,
01:40one of the things that you do is to be a bit mindful of
01:42if you've got any steps up to it,
01:43that obviously Mika might want to dash in.
01:46So it's just...
01:46Mika, get up steps into a jacuzzi.
01:48She's got three legs.
01:49Mika could come and live here, don't she?
01:50Oh, it was such a good series.
01:53I loved it.
01:54I really loved it.
01:55I could have adopted so many,
01:57but if I was in the house I was in now,
02:00I don't know how many I'd have ended up with.
02:02Here we go.
02:03Ray and Kira seeing Mika for the very first time.
02:05When taking on a new pet,
02:11it's important the whole family
02:12give their stamp of approval.
02:14She doesn't care.
02:15Oh, isn't she just divine?
02:18Adoption is a serious business.
02:21Like an expectant parent.
02:23And after being taught through
02:24all of Mika's special requirements,
02:26I've not seen it since it was on Tally.
02:30Has it?
02:31Can you bring Mika to reception, please?
02:35She's so cute.
02:35Look at her.
02:36Oh, come on, man.
02:38Are we going home?
02:40Come on, let's go home.
02:42I'm so delighted that I spotted Mika
02:44on the first day, really.
02:45I fell in love.
02:46She is one of the loveliest, kindest dogs,
02:51which just goes to show that it really is worth
02:54going and checking out your local rescue centres.
02:58We've had three rescue dogs now.
03:01All of which have been gorgeous.
03:02They're just desperate for love
03:04and desperate for home.
03:06So, and that's not just dogs, cats,
03:08all the animals you can think of, actually.
03:12You can normally find it a rescue if you can.
03:15But honestly, they're so beautiful.
03:17I love them all.
03:17As I do the other dogs that I got
03:19from reputable breeders.
03:21I love them all.
