00:00KICKS 99, it's your wake up crew. Well, just up right now because Cody is getting ready. I have to, I have to do it officially. Oh yes. We got to have some pomp and circumstance because it is time for Cody's graduation celebration.
00:21Ladies and gentlemen, the graduating class of 2024. Oh, yes. Yes. It is. It is Cody's in full cap and gown. Wow.
00:38Doug, where did you get this gown? It's a little long. I, I, I, look, I, all right.
00:45I probably should have worn heels or something.
00:46Well, or maybe another person. I don't know. Shannon's sons let us borrow.
00:52Oh my gosh. They're so tall.
00:53Okay. Well, you know what? It's, it's kind of last minute. So I had to do what I had to do. Okay.
00:57So look, we, we've got you some, some presents first before we get into the full, you know,
01:02speakers and everything like that. Got you a couple of presents.
01:05Really? Okay.
01:06Yes. So we wanted to do a cake, but knowing you the way I do, I knew that you would like these a lot better.
01:13So we got you some Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
01:19So yeah, your favorites. Go ahead. You can dig in while we're doing this. That's pretty cool.
01:25Doug, where are, where are all the doughnuts?
01:27What are you talking about?
01:28There's like four, well, three and a half. Somebody took a bite out of this one.
01:34Who would do something like, who would eat your doughnuts?
01:37Um, do you have glaze on your, on your mouth there?
01:40It's not, that's not important right now.
01:42Are you eating doughnuts in here without me?
01:43No, that, that, I didn't do that.
01:46Well, okay.
01:47I appreciate the gesture.
01:48Yeah. Okay. Uh, actually I also have, uh, your, I have a, uh, well, I mean, since you were homeschooled,
01:55I have your, your, your yearbook here.
01:58Oh my gosh. Did you, did you Google me?
02:02It's not even in color. Come on now.
02:03Well, okay. Let me be the first to sign your yearbook. Hang on.
02:06I'm going to do this. I'm going to do this right. Okay. Hold on. Uh, hey, Cody, stay cool.
02:16Have a neat summer. All right. See, I'm the first one to sign you yearbook. You can take this around and have everybody else sign it. See, there we go.
02:25There we go. So I'll just, I'll pass this around. I'll pass that around the building. Okay. So, uh, as the speaker here for your, uh, graduation celebration, I, I've prepared a few words.
02:39Okay. Are you, are you ready? Here we go.
02:41You're not going to make me cry. I hope not. Here we go. Uh, Cody, you did it.
02:45You graduated. Sure. You're a few years older than you were, but you did it. You know, you did it nonetheless.
02:53And think of it this way. Now you're a little older. You're a little wiser too. As I stand here before you today, I'm reminded of a saying, I think it was Benjamin Franklin or it might've been Benji from Warrenville.
03:04I can't remember. But anyways, he said the way to get started is to stop talking and start doing it. Cody, that's what you've done. You done started doing.
03:13And we're all real proud of you. Look, I don't want to hog all the time up here. There's a few other folks who want to say some words. Uh, I have found some commencement speakers to, to join us today. Some very important people. If we could bring our, our commencement speakers in. Oh my gosh.
03:30Oh, Kelly. Yeah. Well, and not just Oh Kelly. And he, yeah. Oh Kelly. I know that y'all have prepared some, some things this morning.
03:38Cody. Uh, it's an honor to be here on this glorious and wonderful. All right. That's that. That's that. No, that's enough. No, no, no. We got to keep it rolling. Thank you. Oh Kelly. Appreciate it. Uh, T I think we hope I get a little bit more time. Yeah. Go ahead. Cody. Many great things are going to happen to you. We're so proud of you.
03:55Thank you, T. Appreciate it. Yep. No, that's, we got to keep it rolling here. Uh, I got some other, uh, Cody, some other, uh, stars. We got some stars that want to say hello and congratulate you. Okay. So first of all.
04:09They do realize I graduated like, uh, years ago, right? Like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everybody realizes that. Yeah. They don't really think I'm mid thirties just graduating high school.
04:19No, no, no, no, absolutely not. So, uh, let's, let's get into our first, uh, our first, uh, well-wisher here. Okay.
04:39Oh, okay. Okay. Sorry, Dylan. I guess Dylan Carmichael didn't get the memo that you graduated a while back. Uh, but, but, but, but wait, there's more.
04:48Okay. We do have another artist here to, uh, give you some, some congratulations.
04:55Chris Jansen.
05:08Oh, that's so awesome.
05:09Yeah, so Dylan Carmichael and Chris Jansen wishing you well.
05:13Look, hey, it's, I, it is a very, very special day. Um, so listen, thanks gentlemen for all the kind words, Chris and Dylan. We appreciate it. We got to keep this moving. I got to do the Nashville 411 in a couple of minutes. Uh, Cody T. O'Kelly, uh, Dylan Carmichael, Chris Jansen. Everybody is celebrating your special day. And Cody, I know that you've walked through those doors and up to that microphone hundreds of times. But today and every day after this, I want you to walk a little taller.
05:42Uh, well, if you're wearing your boots, uh, and I want you to hold your head a little higher, but not so much to where people think there's something wrong with you. It did take you till now to graduate. Uh, like I said, stand tall, walk proud, and turn that tassel, young lady, because you are now officially a graduate of the class of 2024.
06:01You have anything you'd like to say? Wow. I'm just overwhelmed. I was really nervous. I never got to graduate like this before. So yeah, super cool. Thanks guys. Anything else you want to say? Uh, all right, good. Cause we're out of time.
06:17Good job.
06:22And then I get to like throw this up in the air, right? There you go.
