00:15piece he's absolutely perfect just having a great time and I am here with Lynn and it's
00:21your very first time on WDHA's rock and rough she is from the gingerbread house your foster
00:26based out of Wharton New Jersey Lynn give us a little bit of a 411 on the gingerbread house you
00:32and I first met at Puptoberfest this year and you have a lot of smaller dogs so tell us exactly what
00:38you guys do yeah so we focus on small breeds in particular a lot of Pekingese and Shih Tzu types
00:44and especially seniors and hospice the ones that will not make it out of the shelter since even a
00:50lot of other rescues won't take that on yeah they're very hard to adopt so those are the ones we focus
00:55not Roger though not Roger no Roger is a little bit of an older guy you will never know it he is
01:03absolutely perfect not only is he the most handsome adorable cutest guy he's healthy he checked out he's
01:10been vetted he's had a dental he's very spry and likes to jump for treats and just have a good time
01:18he's such a great little boy tell us sometimes how you end up getting dogs like this who people would
01:25kind of shelter and just people kind of just dump them yeah a lot of owners surrenders to shelters
01:31um with especially with the seniors um I guess maybe they either get too expensive or too hard to deal
01:36with uh so they believe it or not even purebred very expensive dogs that you would normally spend a
01:41fortune on at a breeder are available to rescues and and you know and are also in shelters well welcome to
01:49rock and rough let's check out Roger interacting with our staff on WDHA's rock and rough and you will
01:54see he is absolutely just such a great little guy meet Roger a super sweet chihuahua who's a loving
02:02little old man who loves being with people chasing after his toys going for walks tummy scratches and
02:08just giving snuggles and kisses he's a super sweet super socialized awesome adorable little boy
02:14Roger was dumped in a New York City shelter by his owner is approximately 10 years old seven pounds
02:20a healthy little guy up to date on vaccines dewormed microchipped neutered and groomed we had such an
02:27awesome time with him at the WDHA studios he's just so much fun and has been doing well with the other
02:33small breed pups in his foster home although not necessary that Roger has a friend he would love to just be
02:38by your side he's also housebroken and knows how to use his little potty pads given his teeny tiny size
02:44Roger would be looking for a home with no small children or larger dogs if you're looking for
02:48a great little dog to join your pack Roger could just be the dog for you reach out to our friends

03:01news also is he appears to be dog friendly he's living in a foster with a little papillon and he seems
03:07to be a little more of the submissive while you said the papillon's a little bit of a bossy a bossy
