00:11I've got Brandy on the phone and she is recognizing her husband Sean today for First Responder Friday.
00:17Good morning, Brandy. How are you doing?
00:18Good morning. I'm wonderful. How are you?
00:21We're good. We're so glad you reached out to us.
00:22So let's talk about your husband, Sean.
00:25How does he serve as a First Responder and where at?
00:28He's been a First Responder for about 15 years now.
00:32He started his career in Cincinnati, Ohio, and we moved to Lakeland in 2017.
00:41So he's been following that career here.
00:44Brandy, when you met and got married, was he already a First Responder?
00:48He was.
00:49What do you think drew him to this career?
00:51I think just his genuine nature of caring for people
00:55and wanting to help leave people better than he found him.
00:58Now, your husband, Sean, he drives a rescue truck. Is that what he does?
01:02He's a First Responder for a private ambulance outfit here in Lakeland.
01:07Okay.
01:08And so they do transporting.
01:11If they arrive to a scene of an accident, they respond.
01:14And then during, like, natural disasters, during Hurricane Irma,
01:18they had to, you know, take action and transport and help and serve.
01:23And so he went to the call of duty.
01:25Love that.
01:26So what are some things that you guys like to do when he's not at work
01:29and gets to take the cape off a little bit?
01:31Right.
01:32When he's not working, we love the outdoors.
01:35And obviously, in Florida, there's so much to do.
01:37Definitely fishing.
01:38He loves sports.
01:39So catching a game, a baseball game or a football game.
01:44But anything outdoors, for sure.
01:46Golf.
01:46He's an avid golfer.
01:48I mean, moving here from Cincinnati,
01:49I can imagine that you guys like the outdoors quite a bit.
01:53Just a little.
01:54No more white stuff.
01:56I love what you wrote here about your husband, you know,
01:59talking about how lucky you feel that he is in your life
02:03as well as the people that he gets to care for when he's out in our community.
02:08I mean, just to have a guy like him.
02:10I just love the way that you described him.
02:13That just gave me goosebumps hearing you say that.
02:16And even just writing that makes me choke up because I love him for what he does.
02:23And because during all of all of these, you know, tough times,
02:27COVID took a toll on him.
02:29It was so hard for him to watch what was happening.
02:33You know, and we have to give props to you, too,
02:34because, you know, you're the one that's home supporting him.
02:38And waiting for him to come home.
